Chapter 2003: We Will Meet Again

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

The moment he saw Walker, Lin Yi’s first feeling was danger.

The blond man gave him a feeling that he could not see through him.

Like a bottomless pit, he sat there calmly, as if everything that happened here had nothing to do with him.

“What’s wrong, Mr. Lin?”

Mina Ito asked curiously when she saw Lin Yi standing still.

“It’s fine. Go wait for me in the car.”

Seeing his serious expression, Mina Ito realized that something bad might have happened.

At the same time, her gaze landed on Walker.

“Is it because of that man?”

“Don’t ask anything. Get in the car first.”

Mina Ito didn’t dare disobey Lin Yi’s order and walked towards her car, but her gaze remained fixed on Walker.

Her instincts told her that someone who could make Mr. Lin so nervous was definitely not a simple person.

The other party might be more dangerous than she had imagined.

Lin Yi turned his body slightly, holding the sword in his right hand as he stood face to face with Walker.

At the same time, the latter also stood up. The distance between the two of them was less than ten meters, but the atmosphere between them was filled with coldness and killing intent.

It was all calm a second ago!

The next second was earth-shattering!

“You’re the ones behind this, aren’t you?”

Lin Yi didn’t have any concrete evidence, but his instincts told him that this foreign man was the mastermind behind this ordeal.

“That’s right.”

Walker did not deny it.

In his opinion, there was no need for him to deny it. It was impossible for Lin Yi to do anything to him.

“But you’re very powerful and destroyed our plans one after another. I originally thought that the people from the Central Guards Brigade were trash, but you surprised me. I haven’t seen someone like you in a long time.”

As he spoke, Walker drew a folding knife from his waist and assumed an offensive stance.

This movement caused Lin Yi to sense a hint of danger.

This person’s strength was likely at B-class. Otherwise, he wouldn’t exude such an intense sense of pressure.

Without warning, Walker charged at Lin Yi.

Sensing the danger, Lin Yi drew his sword and swung it towards his opponent.

Clang!

The sound of metal clashing echoed as Lin Yi’s Mikazuki Munechika struck Walker’s folding knife with the force of a mountain.

“How is this possible?!”

Walker was shocked to find himself on the defensive.

Lin Yi’s strength was surprising. It was enough to overpower him!

Lin Yi’s slight advantage in the initial clash came from several factors.

Firstly, the Mikazuki Munechika, a legendary sword, far surpassed Walker’s folding knife in every aspect.

Secondly, with the system’s enhancement, Lin Yi’s level had nearly reached the peak of C-class, while Walker had only been in B-class for a little over two years and wasn’t as strong as one might expect.

Additionally, Lin Yi’s physical conditioning was superior to Walker’s.

Moreover, Walker’s overconfidence during the fight played into Lin Yi’s favor.

Realizing the unfavorable situation, Walker quickly counterattacked.

Using both arms, he pushed upward against Lin Yi’s sword.

The huge force made Lin Yi step several steps back before stabilizing himself.

Walker didn’t give him a chance to catch his breath, charging at Lin Yi with his folding knife once more.

This time, Walker used his full power, not daring to be careless.

Lin Yi’s unexpected prowess had surprised him, proving to be more formidable than anticipated.

Clang, clang, clang!

The sound of weapons clashing filled the air.

In this intense exchange, Lin Yi gradually found himself at a disadvantage, though he wasn’t completely overpowered, he was losing ground.

Thud!

After dozens of exchanges, Walker found an opening and kicked Lin Yi.

The immense force swept through Lin Yi’s body, making him grunt as he bit down hard, using his sword to steady himself.

Then, summoning his strength, he leaped into the air, gripping the sword with both hands, and sliced towards Walker with the force of a thunderbolt!

Clang!

Lin Yi’s strength, combined with his body weight, was fully channeled into the blade!

Walker was initially confident that he could block Lin Yi’s attack.

However, he soon realized he had underestimated Lin Yi.

The power Lin Yi unleashed in adversity was beyond his expectations!

Thud!

Walker, unable to withstand Lin Yi’s force, dropped to one knee, dissipating a large part of the impact.

This gave Walker a moment to breathe.

With a burst of strength, he lifted his folding knife, throwing Lin Yi off balance.

Walker swung his knife in mid-air, the black blade cutting through the air with a cold gleam.

Sensing the danger, Lin Yi retreated, bending his body backward to avoid Walker’s attack, but he was a step too slow.

The edge of the folding knife tore Lin Yi’s clothing, leaving a twenty-centimeter gash on his body.

Though not life-threatening, it was enough to affect his combat ability.

“Damn it!”

Lin Yi cursed, but Walker’s attacks kept coming.

In desperation, Lin Yi focused on defense.

Bang!

At that moment, a loud gunshot rang out!

Walker quickly stepped aside, dodging the hot bullet.

The shooter was Mina Ito!

Bang, bang, bang!

Several more gunshots followed, forcing Walker to retreat further. From a distance, Mina Ito shouted,

“Attack, don’t let him escape!”

Following the order, the Mitsui retainers fired at Walker.

However, this level of threat was nothing to someone like Walker; it couldn’t hurt him at all.

“Impressive, you are indeed at a team leader’s level to fight me to this extent with C-class strength. It’s been a long time since someone made me this excited,” Walker said, looking at Lin Yi with amusement from a distance.

But his words were merely a facade. Despite Lin Yi being only C-class, with the system’s boost, he wasn’t an ordinary C-class opponent.

Moreover, Walker, having just reached B-class, found fighting Lin Yi challenging.

“You’d better not mess with the Central Guards Brigade, or you’ll regret it.”

“Hah…”

Walker sneered, “Because of you, our missions in Terra have repeatedly failed. We won’t forget this. We will meet again.”

With that, Walker disappeared from everyone’s sight, leaving no trace behind.
