Chapter 2004: Training Techniques

Editor: EndlessFantasy Translation

“Chase after him!”

“Don’t chase him.” Lin Yi covered his wound and said with difficulty.

“You won’t be able to catch him… Hiss…”

Lin Yi sucked in a breath of cold air and leaned against the car.

The wound on her lower abdomen kept bleeding and he fell to the ground.

“Mr. Lin, how are you? Can you hold on? I’ll send you to the hospital.”

Mina Ito rushed over to check on Lin Yi’s injuries.

Originally, she didn’t want to get involved, preferring to let the two settle things fairly.

But she hadn’t anticipated that the foreigner’s skills would be so exceptional.

He was a B-class fighter!

Encountering such a person in the city was rare.

And Mr. Lin, with his C-class skills, managing to hold his own against him was even more astonishing.

“I won’t die from this,” Lin Yi said, gritting his teeth against the pain. “But I might need a few stitches.”

“I’ll take you to the hospital right now.”

Lin Yi was helped into the car, and Mina Ito floored the gas pedal, heading to the nearest hospital, Toyo Miharu Hospital. She also informed Caie Mitsui about their situation.

In less than twenty minutes, Mina Ito had the car at the hospital, and Lin Yi was taken to the emergency room.

It took almost an hour to get the wound stitched up.

When Lin Yi came out, Caie Mitsui was already at the hospital, holding his hand with tears in her eyes.

“How do you feel? It must hurt a lot. It’s all my fault for dragging you into this.”

“It’s just a minor injury. I’m used to it.”

Lin Yi took a deep breath. “I estimate that in two or three days, I’ll be able to move around. Don’t worry.”

Caie Mitsui wasn’t one to be overly sentimental. She shifted her position, sitting beside Lin Yi.

“I heard from Mina that the person who attacked you was a foreigner. Is he connected to this matter?”

“More than just connected,” Lin Yi said.

“Recently, a lot has happened, from Qazar to Shianggang, and now the Toyo Yamaguchi-gumi. A series of international incidents are all linked to them. I just haven’t figured out who these people are yet.”

“All these incidents are connected to them?”

Caie Mitsui didn’t know what had happened in Qazar and Shianggang, but from Lin Yi’s tone, she could tell the organization behind that man was formidable.

And since they dared to target her, it meant they weren’t afraid of the Mitsui family, which was not a good sign.

“I’ll notify the relevant authorities to see if they can find any information.”

“It’s useless. Their influence is far greater than you imagine. They might even have infiltrated Sunrise Land’s official circles, so don’t waste your efforts,” Lin Yi said.

“Instead, you should focus on consolidating the Yamaguchi-gumi’s forces. That would also be a form of protection for you.”

“But the Yamaguchi-gumi’s power only works domestically. Internationally, they won’t be effective.”

“You have the E-class serum, which is your foundation,” Lin Yi said.

“You can use this serum to enhance your influence on the global stage.”

“I understand what you mean. I’ll take care of it.”

Caie Mitsui stood up, picked up a towel from nearby, and gently wiped Lin Yi’s body while speaking softly.

“Now, stop worrying about my issues, or I’ll feel guilty forever.”

“It’s my duty. No matter when or what happens, I’ll always protect you.”

Lin Yi raised his hand and tucked a stray lock of hair behind Caie Mitsui’s ear.

The synonym for humility is endless bonds.

In this relationship, Caie Mitsui was his bond.

“Thank you, I love you.”

Caie Mitsui leaned in and kissed him gently. “But now, you need to rest well.”

Lin Yi nodded, lying silently on the bed.

But his mind didn’t stop working. He kept recalling the fight with Walker.

On Walker’s black folding knife, there was a fingernail-sized mark.

But because of the critical situation, he didn’t get a good look at it.

Lin Yi thought for a long time, wondering if that mark could help identify who Walker was.

After much contemplation with no clear answer, exhaustion overcame him, and he fell into a deep sleep.

Over the next few days, Lin Yi stayed in the hospital to recover.

Although the injury wasn’t severe, the wound needed time to heal. After all, it had taken dozens of stitches, and if it tore open due to intense activity, he would suffer.

The day after Lin Yi’s injury, Ning Che arrived in Sunrise Land.

Upon seeing Lin Yi’s wound, Ning Che was silent for a long time.

“You bastard, someone managed to beat you up like this. They must be pretty good.”

“That’s what worries me. If they can send someone casually and beat me up like this, their organization is more formidable than we thought,” Lin Yi said.

“Don’t belittle yourself. The current international situation is clear,” Ning Che said.

“If they could beat you like this, that person must be significant in their organization. It’s unlikely he was a low-level lackey.”

“No matter his rank, the Central Guards Brigade can’t handle it at its current level,” Lin Yi said.

“Even with the Yanlong Team, it wouldn’t be enough.”

“The brigade is aware of this issue. They’ve held over a dozen meetings in the past few days to prepare for these matters.”

“What were the meetings about?”

“The main issue is Team 4. They’re planning to recruit new members and rebuild Team 4, with Tao Cheng as the leader. Some members from our Team 2 and Team 3 will be transferred there,” Ning Che said.

“The remaining task is to enhance our combat capabilities, which the brigade has left up to us.”

“But increasing our strength isn’t something that can happen overnight. It’s not an easy task.”

“There are ways to achieve it,” Ning Che said.

“Our technique for channeling energy through the dantian originates from Daoism, which includes methods and techniques. They plan to make this public to us, but we need to wait for their instructions.”

After a few seconds of silence, Lin Yi asked a question.

“What about the original members of Team 4? How are they and their families?”

Ning Che shrugged. “That’s classified information. I’m not privy to that. If you really want to know, you’ll have to ask Mr. Lu.”

“I’ll call him when I get a chance.”

“I suggest you don’t worry about these things and focus on healing,” Ning Che said, rolling her eyes.

“I’m fine now. Just need a few more days of rest for the wound to heal, then I’ll be able to move around.”

“Too bad,” Ning Che said.

“If you were fine now, I could enjoy some time here, but it looks like that’s not happening.”
