Despite it being the time to clock out, for those accustomed to the 996 work schedule, this was just dinner time at the office.

Harper sat in the office, carefully analyzing the current situation.

There was a cup of coffee beside him that was still steaming. He crossed his legs and had a leisurely expression. He was no longer as flustered as he was during the day.

“Mr. Harper, we’ve already stopped the decline. We have to think of a way to counterattack against Lingyun Group,” Yang Tiannan said.

“There’s no hurry.” Harper waved his hand and said nonchalantly,

“My plan has just begun to take effect. In a few days, Lingyun Group will know how much this incident will affect their share performance.”

“But from today’s performance, Lingyun Group doesn’t seem to be that flustered.”

“They’re just struggling. Tomorrow, they’ll see the stocks of their listed companies fall drastically. In the next few days, they’ll continue to fall. They’ve only pulled in Mitsui Group. That’s far from enough.”

Hearing Harper’s words, Yang Tiannan heaved a sigh of relief.

If that was the case, there was nothing to be afraid of.

Lin Yi and Lin Yi were finally going to pay for their arrogance.

Creak-

Just as the two of them were analyzing the situation, the office door was pushed open.

Zhao Fenghua rushed in without knocking.

“Mr. Harper, bad news!” Zhao Fenghua said hurriedly with a report in her hand.

“Customs has delayed the clearance of our vehicles. We’ve been stuck at the port for several hours!”

“How could that be?! Did they tell you the reason?”

Haber and Yang Tiannan couldn’t sit still anymore!

“The specific reason wasn’t mentioned, all the paperwork was in order, but it still didn’t get cleared.”

“How can this be possible? This is clearly an official act! They shouldn’t be involved in this matter!” Haber said angrily.

“It’s not just our goods; even Samsung from Rania has experienced delayed customs clearance. It’s definitely targeted action related to this issue!”

The atmosphere in the office instantly froze.

The two of them were a little anxious and did not even know what to do.

This was an official act. There was nothing they could do about it.

If this issue isn’t resolved promptly, the import of car models as well as production materials will grind to a halt.

This was very disadvantageous to the current situation.

Most importantly, they have even halted Samsung’s shipments.

This was even more bad news.

If Samsung fails to overturn the decision through protests, they might soon switch allegiances, and we would lose a crucial ally.

The situation would then be more favorable for Lingyun Group.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

At this moment, there was a knock on the office door and Yang Tiannan’s secretary walked in.

“Mr. Haber, President Yang, Lingyun Group has issued an announcement stating that their stock of smartphone screens is sufficient to last for six months, and after that, they plan to switch to domestically produced screens. Our strategic positioning in this sector might already be ineffective.”

“They’ve stockpiled so much inventory!”

In fact, the main point of this matter was not how much stock the Lingyun Group had.

It’s that their inventory will last six months!

Because the tug-of-war between the two sides wasn’t likely to last that long.

Even if they didn’t use domestic screens, these six months were enough to survive this storm.

Just as the female secretary had said, his arrangement in this aspect had already lost its effect.

Coupled with the customs restrictions on Samsung products, the latter would definitely switch sides, and Tesla’s advantage will significantly diminish.

“I think I understand why the Lingyun Group made an announcement at this time,” Yang Tiannan said with a pale face.

“Lin Yi is giving the investors time to think. After a night of fermentation, our stocks might not be able to hold up when the market opens the next morning.” Clang! Clang! Clang!

There was another quick knock on the door, and the head of the financial sector jogged in.

“Mr. Harper, Mr. Yang, the Intel Fund just released an announcement saying that they want to invest two billion USD to build a chip research laboratory with Lingyun Group.”

“How is this possible?!”

Hearing this explosive news, the people in the office could not sit still.

No matter what, they could accept what had happened in the country. After all, this was the home ground of Lingyun Group.

However, he did not expect the overseas capital giants to be involved at this time!

Moreover, it was one of the top five funds in Meiguo!

To them, this was devastating news.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

There was another knock on the door, and the people in the office shivered.

They were already afraid of hearing this sound.

This was because the news it carried might also be bad.

This time, it was Zhao Fenghua’s secretary.

“Mr. Harper, Mr. Yang, Mr. Zhao, Lingyun Group has announced their latest technology in chips. They said that they have successfully developed a three- nanometer chip in the laboratory. In the future, they might reduce the price of five-nanometer chips.”

“Apart from that, they also spread the word that they want to independently set up a company for the lithography machine’s laboratory. They also said that they want to go public within three years.”

“The lithography machine company is going public!”

This news exploded in everyone’s heads like a nuclear weapon.

They knew very well what a photolithography machine was.

Once such a company went public, it would definitely be favored by the capital of the world.

Lingyun Group would become the darling of all the capitalists in the world!

Zhao Fenghua’s secretary saw that everyone in the office had an ugly expression on their faces. She paused and probed.

“Director Zhao, I have another piece of news.”

“Tell me, don’t hesitate.”

Zhao Fenghua felt like he had given up.

At this point, there was really no need to hide.

“In addition to the above news, the Lingyun Group has also announced that they will jointly develop an electric car with Mitsui Group’s Toyota in the future.”

This news was the last straw for everyone present.

Lingyun Group was announcing that they were declaring war on Tesla.

Harper sat on the chair weakly. He originally thought that he would be the winner of this game, but he did not expect that Lingyun Group’s next moves were all behind!

Even if he found Samsung and TV, it might not be of any use.

One move to delay clearance and reduce the price of the chip was enough to make them change sides.

He even had a premonition that when the stock market opened tomorrow, the share price would plummet!

At this moment, Harper panicked.

He finally understood how terrifying that man called Lin Yi was!
