Yan Ci understood what Lin Yi meant. “Are you trying to hype this up?”

“That’s right. Gather all the resources you have and stir up this matter. The bigger the commotion, the better. Don’t hold back.

“Did Tesla’s people piss you off?”

“They didn’t just piss me off. They basically shit on my head.

“I understand what to do. Watch the news later. I’ll definitely help you settle

this matter clearly.”

“I won’t worry about you. There’s no need to hold back at all – do it boldly.

“Understood.”

After hanging up, Lin Yi sat on the sofa leisurely.

First, it was the Huanghai Group in Shiaggang, then it was Tesla. Why were there so many people showing off in front of him recently?

At the same time, footsteps came from outside. Li Xianghui and the others had returned.

“How did you feel when you went to the Urban Management Office?

Back in the office, Li Xianghui asked with a smile.

“This guy a little pretentious. After he made me teach him a lesson, he became obedient. I won’t care about the mess I left behind. Just help me deal with it.”

“It’s a small matter. The higher-ups are backing you up. We can easily help you keep your job.”

“I’m relieved to hear that.”

“Alright, let’s cut the small talk and get down to business.”

The few of them sat down. Li Xianghui sorted out the information he had gathered and said to LinYi,

“Zhang Hao’s parents have a house downstairs from Du Juan’s house. We ve also done experiments. According to your previous analysis, the murderer can indeed pull the window to remove the tape on the gas pipe.”

“But the problem is that all the suspects have alibis for the time. This can’t be used as evidence against them.”

“Is it possible that this was done through a smart device?”

“It’s an old house. There’s really nothing there that can be equipped with smart devices.” Li Xianghui said.

“They’re all ordinary household appliances. There’s nothing special about

them.”

Lin Yi’s expression paused. This outcome was not in line with his guess.

“Do you have a picture of the scene? I’d like to see it.”

Li Xianghui used the projector to show Lin Yi the photos of the scene.

Lin Yi sat on the sofa and watched carefully.

The layout of the house was the same as Du Juan’s house, but the interior decoration was different. Moreover, it was very old. Whether it was the furniture or the floor, it all looked dated.

Just as Li Xianghui had said, the things in the house were very old and there was a lot of dust. It was obvious that no one had lived there for a long time.

“We’ve checked carefully. There’s indeed nothing noteworthy in the house,” Li Xianghui said.

“Even if we found out that his parents own the house, it’s useless because his parents haven’t been back for a long time.”

LinYi didn’t respond because his attention was all on the slides.

He didn’t believe that not a single trace was left behind!

There must be some details that they haven’t discovered yet!

“Eh? What is this?”

Lin Yi’s suspicious voice attracted the attention of the others. They subconsciously looked at the slides.

When they saw what Lin Yi was pointing at, everyone present was a little surprised.

“Surveillance?”

“That’s an old house. It’s been a long time since anyone came back. Why are there surveillance cameras in the house?”

Lin Yi’s words puzzled the others.

“I still have some impression of this thing,” Gao Mingjun said.

“I saw this thing when I was checking inside, but I didn’t think much of it or take it seriously at the time. Now that I look at it, it does look a little suspicious.”

“When you saw this surveillance camera, did you pay attention to the details on it, like the dust?” LinYi asked.

“I haven’t really paid attention to that detail, but it shouldn’t be too dirty.”

Lin Yi slapped the table, “The problem is with this camera!”

“Can this camera be an accomplice in killing Du Juan?” Gu Yiran asked.

“Other cameras can’t, but this one almost certainly can.

Everyone still didn’t quite understand Lin Yi’s point.

“Imagine for a moment, if this camera could be controlled by a smartphone and achieve 360-degree unrestricted rotation, what would that imply?”

As soon as he said this, everyone suddenly understood.

If this camera could indeed rotate without restriction, then by attaching a fishing line to it and using its continuous rotation, it would be possible to tear off the tape sealing the gas pipe, thereby fulfilling the purpose of killing Du Juan!

“Let’s take alookat the scene!”

“You and Little Gu go ahead. We still have to check Zhang Hao and Du Juan’s bank card information. When you guys come back, we’ll analyze this matter together.”

“That works too.”

Because it was not a big deal, there was no need to bring over too many people.

Lin Yi and Gu Yiran packed up and rushed to Zhang Hao’s parents’ house.

In less than an hour, the two of them arrived at their destination.

The scene was under control. The men guarding the door were their officers. They flashed their IDs and walked in without being stopped. They headed straight for the white camera.

At the same time, Gu Yiran had already put on his gloves, afraid that he would destroy the fingerprints on it.

When she tried to pick up the camera, she realized that she couldn’t move it at all.

Even if she exerted a little force, it did not budge at all.

“It’s normal, the forces act mutually. When it pulls on the fishing line, the line also pulls on it. If it’s not fixed to the TV cabinet, it would definitely get pulled away. How did you even pass middle school physics? That’s just poor.

“I had thought of that already, no need for you to point it out,” Gu Yiran said, twitching his nose defiantly.

“Besides, I was the physics class representative in middle school, and I did better than you!”

“I bet that by the time you got to high school, your academic performance was pretty terrible.”

Gu Yiran was embarrassed because Lin Yi was right.

“How do you know?”

“That goes without saying. If you had studied well in high school, you wouldn’t have ended up in the police academy.”

Gu Yiran, “…”

“Cut the crap and get down to business.”

Lin Yi took out the scalpel from his lower back and separated the camera from the table bit by bit.

The two of them leaned over and carefully observed the camera.

“You guessed right!”

That was because Gu Yiran saw white marks under the camera.

Moreover, the traces were very thin, like fishing lines.

Lin Yi tried to turn the camera with his hand. Although it was a little tight, it could indeed move without limit!

It was exactly the same as he had predicted!

“Huh…”

Lin Yi took a deep breath and suddenly felt relieved.

“The murder method has been cracked. We can go back and interrogate the two of them now.”
