Zhang Zixin couldn’t stop laughing.

Being good-looking meant that he had an advantage.

Whenever he went out as a police officer, he would experience a romantic encounter.

“That’s fine. If you need anything, just look for me at the branch office.”

“Alright, alright, alright. Thank you. Otherwise, I wouldn’t know what to do.” “It’s our duty.” Lin Yi said.

“When the quality inspection report comes out, this matter will be resolved.

You don’t have to worry anymore.”

“Okay.”

After dealing with the disputes on both sides, the four of them drove back to the branch office.

The onlookers in the 4.S shop also left while cursing.

In addition to this, many people had recorded videos, and once this incident started trending online, it would be difficult for the dealership to calm public outrage if they did not provide a satisfactory explanation.

“Mr. Li, what should we do about this?” Mark asked. “This has caused a very bad impact, and I feel that headquarters will soon be calling.”

Li Donglin was aware of the issues with the car.

However, he couldn’t admit to them, as doing so would confirm that there was a problem with the car, and that would spell the end of his job.

“It’s fine, I have a way to handle it,” Li Donglin said.

“It’s just a matter of getting a pass from the quality inspection department, not a big deal!”

On the way back, Lin Yi opened the system page and saw that the mission progress was still (1/10). The system did not count this case.

It was probably not closed yet. They had to wait for the quality inspection report to be released.

Lin Yi didn’t know when the report would come out. It all depended on the department’s efficiency.

However, there was no need to rush this matter. In any case, it had been resolved.

As soon as he returned to the police station, Lin Yi received a call from Chen

Bingqiang.

Lin Yi already vaguely knew why he was calling.

“President Lin, did you become a police officer?”

“Did you find out?”

“Someone called me. I didn’t know until I checked.”

“I have nothing better to do, so I’m here to experience life. Don’t tell anyone.

Don’t tell Liang Ruoxu, and don’t do anything special. Just pretend that you don’t know about this.”

Lin Yi knew that this secret wouldn’t last long.

Sooner or later, it would reach Chen Bingqiang.

“Why didn’t you say so earlier? I would have arranged it directly for you,

instead of having to come here yourself.”

“Can’t 1 test my own capabilities? It wouldn’t be fun if you arranged everything for me.”

Chen Bingqiang on the other end of the phone laughed.

“Let’s leave it at that for now. 1’11 keep your secret, but if one day Secretary

Liang finds out about this, you better not throw me under the bus.”

“Don’t worry, this won’t be a problem.”

After chatting with Chen Bingqiang for a while, Lin Yi hung up.

Over the next few days, Lin Yi’s life was quite comfortable.

He also understood his job better.

The four people in the office were divided into two groups. Zhang Demin took

Zhang Zixin and formed a team, and Lin Yi and Zhang Peng formed another team.

When something happened, they could deal with it separately.

After all, civil cases were mainly about reconciliation. There was no need for so many members of the police to go deal with it together. This was to prevent resources from being wasted.

Moreover, Zhang Demin knew that Lin Yi was only here for the time being and would be transferred away in a few days.

Therefore, he did not assign him too many missions.

As a result, he had only dealt with two cases in the past few days, and they were all trivial matters.

Even so, Lin Yi didn’t care, because the progress of the mission was already at (3/10). Including the Tesla case, there were a total of four completed cases.

At this rate, this mission would be completed in at most two weeks.

“Little Yi, come here.”

Just as Lin Yi was slacking off, Li Xianghui stood at the door and raised his chin, calling him out.

“What’s wrong, Brother Li?”

“There’s a case. I’m going to bring you over to broaden your horizons.”

“How big of a case is it that I’ll learn so much?”

“Someone died.”

Lin Yi scratched his head. He had already killed quite a few people, let alone seen the bodies. This wasn’t enough to broaden his horizons!

“That’s pretty scary. You won’t have nightmares at night, will you?”

“That’s not necessary.” Li Xianghui said.

“I heard from the person who called the police that it was a suicide, so 1 wanted to bring you to experience it. After all, you are likely to be transferred to our side in the future. 1 have to let you quickly adapt to the job.”

“Let’s go,” Lin Yi picked up the clothes and said.

Soon, Lin Yi, Li Xianghui, Gu Yiran, and two other people called Zhang Hui and

Gao Mingjun followed. They were all in charge of criminal investigation.

The two of them were very warm and talkative, and they quickly got along with Lin Yi.

The crime scene was at Erlong Mountain Scenic Area. Lin Yi knew this place.

The scenery was not bad and could often be seen on TikTok. It was the first choice spot for the surrounding tourists.

Previously, he had wanted to bring Li Chuhan here on an outing. He did not expect something to happen here now.

After driving for a while, they arrived at Erlong Mountain Scenic Area.

Upon arrival at the site, the local police and doctors had already conducted preliminary processing and had cordoned off the crime scene. The body was covered with a white cloth, all handled very professionally.

When he arrived at the scene, Li Xianghui showed his ID and greeted the local police officers, preparing to take over the case.

“What’s the situation?”

“The victim’s name is Song Deyuan. He’s a boss who works in security

equipment. His company is organizing a team-building event here, but for some reason, he committed suicide.”

“Team-building activity? Suicide?”

Li Xianghui was a little suspicious. His experience told him that these two things were unlikely to overlap.

People who wanted to commit suicide normally wouldn’t do it in public.

Moreover, he had already decided to commit suicide. Why was he still doing team building?

Li Xianghui led his men into the sealed area and lifted the white cloth.

Because the body had fallen from the mountain, the flesh was badly mangled.

Furthermore, his limbs were a little twisted. It was possible that he had hit the mountainside when he fell.

Lin Yi looked up and saw that the mountain wasn’t very tall. It was only about twenty meters high, about seven or eight stories tall.

However, it was still more than enough to kill someone. It was reasonable for the fall to cause these injuries.

“Send her to the forensic expert. Little Gu, Little Yi, you two check the surveillance cameras nearby.”

Li Xianghui knew that the two of them had a conflict, so he wanted the two of them to work together more. They would be colleagues in the future, so it was not good to continue being so cold toward each other.

“Got it.”

“Little Zhang, Little Gao, you two find a car and bring away all the witnesses and the people from the deceased’s company. Go back and interrogate them slowly.”

“Got it!”

After assigning the tasks, the four of them split up.

Gu Yiran changed her previous attitude towards Lin Yi, sharing a lot of

practical experience on the way, which was very useful.

“See, this is how it should be. We’re going to be colleagues, so we should get along well.”

“Don’t flatter yourself. We’re working right now, and I can’t be bothered to

argue with you about those things,” Gu Yiran said emotionlessly, clearly able to separate personal feelings from work.

“You have a small chest and a big temper. You have long hair and are short-sighted. That’s four for four. With these issues, don’t even think about getting married in this lifetime..”
