Hearing someone speak, Lin Yi turned around.

To his surprise, the woman who spoke was Chen Jingya, whom he had interviewed the day before!

Beside her stood a middle-aged man in a suit. He looked to be in his forties and had a Meddean hairstyle. He looked like a successful person.

The middle-aged man’s name was Cao Heping, and he was in the clothing business.

Although his brands were not famous in Huaxia, his overseas sales were shockingly high.

He was worth more than three billion yuan and was very famous in the fashion industry.

“Can’t I walk around? This isn’t your house.”

“Do you know him? Why are you arguing?” Cao Heping stepped forward and asked.

“Remember how I applied for a job at Chaoyang Group yesterday? In the end, I was chased out by this person. He even slandered me for falsifying my education. He was clearly insulting me.”

Cao Heping glanced at Lin Yi’s work pass.

“That’s unlikely. How could an executive director be an interviewer at Chaoyang Group?”

“He should have another identity. He must just be here for a walk.”

“That makes sense to me.”

Cao Heping glanced at Lin Yi and hugged Chen Jingya’s waist.

“Ignore him. There’s no need to be angry with such a person.”

“But 1 don’t want him here. I want him to have a taste of what it’s like to be chased out in public.”

“Isn’t that simple? I’ll help you vent your anger.”

Cao Heping put his hands in his pockets and shouted at the set.

“Who brought this kid in? Get him out of here. I don’t want to see him.”

After hearing Cao Heping’s shouting, the staff at the scene stopped what they were doing.

They looked at the three people who were fighting with each other in confusion.

They did not understand what right this person had to shout here.

“What are you doing? Your shouting is affecting our filming!”

The director got up from his chair and called out, “Get him out of here.”

“Don’t you dare touch me.” Cao Heping scolded.

“I’m Cao Heping, an investor for your movie. If you don’t want to film anymore, just say it. I’ll withdraw my investment now.”

After knowing Cao Heping’s identity, everyone present fell silent.

Anyone who had been in the entertainment industry knew that they could offend anyone except their investors. Otherwise, there would be no need to film the movie anymore.

The director walked up to Cao Heping politely.

“President Cao, what exactly happened? Tell me, I’ll help you deal with it.”

Cao Heping glanced at Lin Yi.

“I don’t like this person. 1 want him to disappear from my sight. Get someone to chase him out.”

Some of the women on the set looked at Lin Yi and were instantly stunned. They felt that he was even more handsome than the male lead.

However, it was quite awkward that such a thing had happened.

“Who brought this person here? Chase him away!”

The director shouted, but no one responded, as if they didn’t know Lin Yi.

“Are you deaf? Who brought him in? Come out!”

The director shouted again, but there was still no response.

Helpless, the director looked at Lin Yi. “Stay where you are. Don’t interfere with our filming.”

Lin Yi smiled.

“Come on, 1 have a work ID too. How am 1 hindering your filming?”

“If the investor says you can’t stay here, then you don’t have the right to be here. Do you really plan to stick around despite that?”

“I’m waiting for someone, so I’d rather not leave.”

“You’re quite the character, aren’t you? You acted so aloof yesterday, I thought you were someone impressive. Turns out you’re just a nuisance who can’t be chased away,” Chen Jingya said.

“If you have the time, you should worry more about yourself.”

“What, now that I’m here, you think you can control me?”

“Whether 1 can or not, you’ll find out soon enough.”

Cao Heping looked at Lin Yi and snorted disdainfully.

“Kid, you’re quite interesting. I chased you away so openly, but you’re still staying here. I’m really impressed.”

“President Cao, stop wasting your breathe on him. Hurry up and chase him away. I really don’t want to see him anymore,” Chen Jingya said arrogantly.

“Wait a moment. I called Director Yan just now. She’s in a meeting and will be here soon. When the time comes, 1’11 tell Director Yan and he’ll be in trouble.”

“That’s fine, but when Director Yan comes, you have to tell her about my role. At the very least, you have to make me the second female lead.”

“Don’t worry, leave this to me.” Cao Heping said.

“I’ve invested tens of millions in this movie. It’ll only be a matter of minutes to get you a role as the second female lead.”

“Thank you, President Cao.”

“Why are you just standing around instead of filming?!”

Hearing the voice, everyone turned around and realized that it was Yan Ci walking over.

“Director Yan, someone provoked President Cao. 1 tried to chase him away, but he is still staying here.”

The director looked at Lin Yi and sounded a little impatient.

“Can’t you see he has a work permit? Why are you trying to chase him away?”

“I didn’t want to talk to him at first, but he had some conflicts with President Cao, so I had to chase him out.”

“Director Yan, it’s like this,” Cao Heping said.

“He had some problems with my girlfriend. I don’t want to see him here, so I want to kick him out.”

“He’s someone i brought over, yet you want to chase him away?”

Everyone was shocked. They did not expect this man to be brought over by Director Yan.

“So you’re Director Yan’s friend. Then this is a misunderstanding.”

Cao Heping knew that Yan Ci had a big shot backing her. This was why she was able to thrive in this industry. Thus, he didn’t want to pursue this matter anymore.

“But 1 came here today to say something else.”

Cao Heping took a step to the side to reveal Chen Jingya.

“This is my girlfriend. She has had dreams of being in a movie since she was young and has experience in this area. I want to take this opportunity to introduce her to you and see if you can arrange for her to play a role.”

Yan Ci shot Cao Heping a dirty look.

“It’s unlikely that I’ll be able to give her a role. If Mr. Cao came here for that purpose, there’s no need to continue this conversation.”

Cao Heping’s expression changed.

“President Yan, no matter what, I’ve invested 40 million yuan in this movie.

Are you not even willing to help me with this small favor?”

Yan Ci looked at Lin Yi and said slowly,

“I don’t mind helping you, but I’m not the one who can decide the roles. You have to ask him.”

“What does he have to do with this?”

“He’s the president of Lingyun Group. Not only is he the biggest shareholder of our company, but he’s also the main investor for this movie.. What do you think this has to do with him?”
