“It’s a treat!”

Everyone started discussing in low voices.

“Yes, all the expenses today are on me. Don’t stand on ceremony, everyone.”

Wang Tianhu downed the wine in his cup and said a few more polite words before turning to leave.

“Brother Lin, you’re the best.” Zhang Peng said.

“Not only is the restaurant’s boss giving us food and wine, but he is also giving us everything for free. This is not treatment ordinary people can receive.”

“It’s fine, it’s fine. 1 didn’t expect him to come himself.” Lin Yi said.

“Since someone is treating us, let’s eat to our hearts’ content. Don’t worry about anything else.”

“Hehe, then we won’t stand on ceremony with you,” Zhang Zixin said.

Zhou Xinghai sat awkwardly at the side, wishing he could find a hole to hide in.

After that, he didn’t say a word. He quietly ate his meal and then found an excuse to leave.

At around 10 p.m., after three rounds of drinks and five different dishes, everyone was tipsy and ended the meal.

After saying their goodbyes, everyone parted ways. Lin Yi took a taxi to Li Chuhan’s place to accompany her.

As soon as he entered, he smelled the fragrance of tea. Li Chuhan was busy in the kitchen.

“Why aren’t you asleep yet? What are you busy with?”

“I made you some hangover tea. Drink some first.”

“Sure thing.”

Li Chuhan’s thoughtfulness was always so meticulous and gentle, like a soft spring rain.

This was something that neither Ji Qingyan nor Liang Ruoxu could do.

Later on, the two of them didn’t do much. They snuggled together and watched TV for a while. Then, they chatted about Ma Jialiang before going to bed.

Li Chuhan slept very soundly and did not do anything out of the ordinary.

However, only Li Chuhan really slept. Lin Yi was still counting the time.

It had been a week since the start of the police profession. After midnight, he would be able to start a new profession.

Lin Yi rubbed his palms together. He didn’t know what profession he would be given.

At midnight, the system notification sounded in Lin Yi’s mind.

[New Profession Activation (Yes/No)]

[Profession: Daoist priest of Mount Longhu.]

[Profession Completion: o%]

[Host, please receive the professional gift bag. 10 million yuan, Book of Daoism (Lone Book).]

“What the f*ck?!”

Lin Yi had been pretending to be asleep, but when he saw his new profession, he suddenly opened his eyes.

‘Damn it, it actually wants me to be a Daoist priest?’

“System, f*ckyou. Do you want me to quit being lustful because there are too many girls around me?”

[The mortal world is prosperous. This profession helps the host comprehend the true meaning of life.]

“Screw your grandmother. My life is pretty good now. I don’t need to comprehend the true meaning of it. 1 am happy facing the mysteries of life.” [If the host is unwilling to experience a new profession, you can change it again after a week.]

Lin Yi smacked his lips. The profession of Daoist priest was a little messed up, but after thinking about it, it might not be all that bad.

There was nothing wrong with him experiencing it.

However, Lin Yi had a bad feeling.

Now that he was being asked to be a Daoist priest, would it ask him to be a monk in the future?

Can’t you give me a job as a security guard or courier?

Why did he have to be a Daoist priest?!

After complaining in his heart for a while, Lin Yi gradually calmed down.

Since the opportunity had presented itself, he might as well take things as they came.

When the time came, he would see what the situation was like. In any case, the choice was in his hands.

The next morning, when Lin Yi opened his eyes, Li Chuhan had already made breakfast.

“Go wash up first. We’ll get your luggage after dinner.”

“Sure thing.”

Li Chuhan’s gentleness was completely different from Ji Qingyan’s.

The former was like a silent nourishment, akin to a cup of clear tea, while the latter was like candy, feeling surrounded by sweetness at all times.

As for Liang Ruoxu, well, she was best left unmentioned.

After dinner, Li Chuhan drove with Lin Yi to the Xinshan branch office.

Ring ring ring!

On the way, Lin Yi received a call from Ji Qingyan.

“Is the training over?”

“It’s done. I’m going to pack my things now,” Lin Yi answered truthfully, “Is there anything happening on your side?”

“Didn’t 1 tell you that 1 wanted to hire a vice president?”

“I remember. I’ll be there in the afternoon.”

“Alright, 1’11 wait for you.”

In the training base.

After eating the day before, most people chose to return to the dormitory to pack their things.

When the two of them arrived, many of the trainees had already packed their things and were bidding farewell.

“Damn, Zhang Peng, hurry up, 1’11 bring you to see a beauty.”

Just after finishing his washing up, Zhang Peng, who hadn’t yet tidied up his things, was hurriedly dragged out by Liu Bohong from the neighboring dorm. “What’s the matter? A beauty in the men’s dormitory? Did someone drink too much last night and still hasn’t sobered up?”

“Today’s dormitory cleaning day, and outsiders have come to help tidy up. I’ve seen several of them early this morning,” Liu Bohong said.

“Hurry up and come with me. I’ll bring you to take a look.”

“Whose family member is here? Why are you so excited?”

“She’s Zhou Xinghai’s sister. Her figure and looks are definitely top-notch.”

“Really? Bring me there to take a look.”

Although he had a deep grudge against Zhou Xinghai, if the latter had such a beautiful sister, he could temporarily set aside his conflicts.

After casually putting on some clothes, the two of them acted casual and walked towards Zhou Xinghai’s dormitory.

Just as they turned the corridor, they were shocked to see that there were a few people surrounding the door to Zhou Xinghai’s dormitory. They were all looking inside, some more subtly than others.

Zhang Peng grumbled internally about how nosy these people were.

Soon, the two of them arrived at the entrance of Zhou Xinghai’s dormitory. Zhang Peng took a look inside and immediately found himself unable to look away.

In the dormitory stood a woman with a good figure.

She was wearing a black dress and a pair of flesh-colored stockings. Most importantly, she was not bad-looking. She was undoubtedly a beauty. Zhang Peng even started to drool when he saw her.

“Isn’t he too lucky to have such a beautiful sister?” Zhang Peng complained.

“I was thinking the same. She’s really too attractive, just like a movie star.”

“I heard she’s a model,” someone else said.

“That’s easy to understand.”

The crowd of onlookers stayed at the door watching for quite a while until Zhou Xinghai finished tidying up his things.

Zhou Xinghai also knew that these people had come to see his sister, so he was exceptionally proud.

This feeling of being envied was really satisfying!

“Stop looking. All you can do is imagine. You won’t be able to find a woman as beautiful as my sister in your lives.”

Zhou Xinghai’s sister also smiled indifferently with some pride, as if she was looking at a group of inexperienced losers.

The two of them ignored the others. Zhou Xinghai took his luggage and prepared to go downstairs.

However, just as they turned the corner, everyone stopped in their tracks!

Because they saw Li Chuhan!
