“Just take care of yourselves and make sure no one wipes you out.”

“Shut up!”

“What are you all doing?!”

Liu Guangxian snorted coldly. “Do you know what time this is? The event hasn’t even started yet, and you guys are already causing internal strife. Don’t you find it embarrassing?!”

After being reprimanded, the others fell silent.

Although they looked down on Lin Yi, they couldn’t let outsiders treat them as a joke.

“Leader, why don’t you let me do it? I feel that I should be better than him.”

The person who spoke stood beside Gu Yiran. Although he was not tall, his figure was impressive. He was full of muscles. It was obvious that he was not an ordinary person.

The person who spoke was Liu Zhiqiang, Liu Zhihao’s younger brother. He was also the person Liu Guangxian had gotten to participate in the individual competition this time. His personal skills and tactical ability were very good.

“Wait for a while.” Liu Guangxian said.

“After the team competition ends, it will time for the individual battle. You need to preserve your stamina, or else you won’t be able to compete later.”

“But 1 just don’t trust him. We won’t be able to win in atheteam battle. If he doesn’t listen, the other teams will definitely find a flaw in our system. At that time, our whole plan will be affected.”

“I know Lin Yi’s level. If he doesn’t have his own advantages, I wouldn’t have sent him out there. Don’t say anything to anyone. Just do as I arranged.”

“Yes!”

Since Liu Guangxian had spoken, the others couldn’t say anything else. They could only pray in their hearts that Lin Yi wouldn’t drag them down. Only then would they stand a chance.

Soon, the four teams were ready. Following the drawing of lots, they arrived at the designated invasion location and began the team battle.

At the same time, the leaders of the other three teams walked towards Liu Guangxian.

“Old Liu, I heard a little about your situation just now. The competition hasn’t even started yet. Why are there already conflicts? This is a big deal in a team battle. If things go wrong, it will affect the results.”

The person who spoke was called Wei Dalong, the leader of the Yuanhe Branch.

“They’re just discussing tactics. You misheard.”

Liu Guangxian also said with a smile. He did not lose his imposing aura.

“Then I wish you all good luck. Try to get a good result this year and don’t be at the bottom like last year.”

“Last year we were just unlucky, otherwise it was anybody’s guess which of our two teams would end up at the bottom.”

“Both of you stop bickering. 1 reckon we’ll take first place again this year. After it’s all over, I’ll treat you to dinner, so you can also share in our good fortune.” The person who spoke was Xie Chuncheng, the leader of Baoshan Branch.

Although they often competed when it came to work, they had a good personal relationship.

“Old man, don’t be so cocky. It’s still not clear who will win today,” Liu Guangxian said.

“I know a little about your team members’ situation. Four of them are old people, but one of them is a newcomer. 1 heard that he’s a big white man who just finished his trial. If you send him up, it’ll be like a iamb to slaughter.” Xie Chuncheng said.

“To be honest, I wouldn’t feel proud even if 1 beat you if you really did sent out a newbie.”

“Old Liu is giving himself a way out. If he sends five experts up, it would be so embarrassing if he loses. If he sends a newbie up now, that guy will take the blame if he loses,” Wei Dalong said with a smile.

“Old Liu, I have to say that you are too sneaky. In terms of brains, the few of us are inferior to you.”

“Cut the cr*p. I know Lin Yi’s level. His marksmanship is quite accurate. I sent him in as a wildcard,” Liu Guangxian said.

“You people’s tactical planning is too poor. You can’t understand my though process at all. You’ll suffer later.”

The remaining three looked at each other and laughed.

“Okay, we’ll wait. Let’s hope he takes us by surprise and broadens our horizons.”

“We’ll see.”

At the same time, Lin Yi and the others had already entered the abandoned chemical plant.

Lin Yi quickly scanned the area and counted three reaction units and four heat exchange towers. The numerous reactors and heat exchangers significantly increased the complexity of the hostage rescue operation.

“Follow the plan.”

After entering, Han Enlong looked around cautiously and then instructed the others.

On the other hand, Lin Yi was completely isolated. After the four of them left, they cast him aside and did not treat him as a member of the team at all.

Under the tent outside the door, Liu Guangxian and the others stared at the screen. The atmosphere was a little solemn.

No one expected them to leave Lin Yi behind as soon as they entered.

“Those brats are really lawless. Are they ignoring my words?!”

No one dared to speak, especially Gu Yiran. This was all within her expectations.

The few of them had already started arguing just now, so there must have been some conflict between them. In addition, Lin Yi was a newcomer and wasn’t humble at all. There was no way the four of them would accept him.

However, Lin Yi, who was in the chemical plant, was not in a hurry.

He found a safe place and hid himself.

A competition like this was different from military exercises. There was no need for confrontation. As long as the hostages were rescued, it would be considered a success.

Therefore, lying low and quietly developing was not an option, as it would allowed others to get ahead.

It was crucial to ensure speed and successfully rescue the hostages to stand a chance of winning.

However, if the mission was just about rescuing hostages, it wouldn’t be very interesting.

Li Xianghui, despite opposition, arranged for Lin Yi’s involvement. Frankly, this was to create an opportunity for himself to shine.

For Li Xianghui’s sake, Lin Yi had to perform well and make him proud.

Therefore, he couldn’t just rescue the hostages-he had to take out the other teams at the same time. Only then would it be interesting.

At the thought of this, Lin Yi looked around and realized that there were many surveillance cameras around to make it easier for the outsiders to observe.

On the surface, the cameras covered everything, but there were still some blind spots. As long as he found the right angle, he could disappear from the surveillance cameras. No one would be able to find him.

Lin Yi’s body moved quickly. He moved into the camera’s blind spot and disappeared from everyone’s sight.

Then, Lin Yi looked at the four heat exchange towers in the abandoned chemical plant.

The tallest one was more than 6o meters tall, which he quietly climbed up.

However, halfway through the climb, the radio in the factory sounded.

“Xinshan representative team, Liu Zhihao eliminated!”

“Really? He got eliminated in less than half an hour after starting? What kind of standard is this?”

After complaining, Lin Yi didn’t care too much and continued climbing.

In any case, he was working with them. He just had to do his job well.

Soon, the radio in the factory rang again.

“Xinshan representative team, Han Enlong has been eliminated!”

Lin Yi,”…”

Even the captain had been eliminated.. What kind of standard was this?
