“A new drug has been developed?!”

Everyone, including Liang Ruoxu, was stunned when they heard this!

‘When did he develop the new drug?’

‘Why didn’t I know about this?’

At that moment, all eyes in the conference room were on the brown paper bag.

!!
At the same time, they had a bad feeling.

No one could possibly lie in such a setting.

Zhao Wen opened the folder in a panic. There was a rustling sound, and the other arbitrators present leaned over.

When they saw the contents of the report, everyone’s heads went blank!

The data given by the report was almost identical to that of ibuprofen by Pfizer!

And the effect was even better!

In other words, this Huaxian medicine could completely replace ibuprofen!

“Dad, what do we do now?” Fan Qinan sat back with a grave expression.

If this went wrong, the damage to the Fan family would be immeasurable.

“Don’t be anxious. Zhao Wen is not a simple woman. Let’s see how she will deal with this matter first.”

With the report in her hand, Zhao Wen’s heart raced. The sudden change made her feel a little helpless.

That hadn’t occurred to her before.

“Director Zhao, what should we do now…”

Meng Haiqing was already panicking.

“Take it easy. It’s just a report. You think I can’t handle it?”

“No, no, no. I didn’t mean that.”

Zhao Wen was naturally not a pushover to be able to become an executive in a company like Pfizer. She quickly calmed down.

Waving the papers, she said.

“This is just lab data. There’s no clinical report. Do you think it can convince anyone?”

“The clinical trial is ongoing, but the second negotiation was scheduled for today, so it was brought forward,” Lin Yi said.

“But don’t ignore one of the most important pieces of information. This drug of ours is a Huaxia-made drug. In terms of clinical performance, it is even better than Western medicine. As long as it is researched, vetted, and passes laboratory trials, the clinical trials do not pose any great risk. You don’t have to quibble with me about other matters. Everyone here understands. Even if you don’t say it, they understand.

“Besides, I’ve already given you the drug. You can take it back to the lab and study it yourself. There is no clinical risk. It might be more appropriate for us to discuss the price then.”

“Well …”

Looking at the unlabeled bottle of medicine in her hand, Zhao Wen was speechless.

The pain in her chest seemed to make it more difficult to breathe.

It was like being hammered in the chest. She couldn’t even find a reasonable rebuttal.

“By the way, I have something else to tell you,” Lin Yi said.

“Actually, in the beginning, we didn’t study the drug. When we first negotiated the price, we realized that you were being too pretentious, so I joined forces with a professional organization to develop and produce the drug. In other words, we only took three days to develop this thing.

“Of course, you can also doubt the authenticity of the report. But again, take it back for your own experiments and you’ll know if I’m telling the truth.”

The meeting room was silent. Liang Ruoxu was so excited that her palms began sweating.

She had always been worried that Lin Yi’s tricks would not work, but she had never thought that he would prepare such a method to counterattack!

“Secondly, there’s something else I want to tell you. Didn’t you join forces with the six major pharmaceutical factories to raise the prices of all 25 imported medicines? Here, I thank you on behalf of Mayor Liang for indirectly promoting the development of our country’s medicine industry.”

“What do you mean?” Zhao Wen asked, trembling.

“It took me three days to figure out your 289-yuan-a- box ibuprofen. If I wanted to, I could figure out a medium-grade formula that could replace those twenty-five imported drugs in less than a month.” Lin Yi shrugged.

“So your prices can go up all you want. We don’t care.”

Zhao Wen was stunned. Everyone present was stunned.

Was Lin Yi being an alarmist?

Definitely. It was even a little fantastical.

However, there were finished medicines on the table, as well as the accompanying lab reports.

Lin Yi’s words had already reached this point, so no one would doubt the authenticity of the report anymore.

Therefore, the problem facing Pfizer right now was that the Huaxian market didn’t need ibuprofen!

Pfizer would lose its market share in Huaxia!

The losses involved would be astronomical!

“Okay, that’s all for today. Bye.”

After saying goodbye, Lin Yi leisurely left with Liang Ruoxu.

“Mayor Liang, Mr. Lin, take care!”

“Take your time. If you have the time, you should go back and report the situation. Don’t dawdle here. It’s annoying.”

Lin Yi and Liang Ruoxu left. When they returned to the car, Liang Ruoxu was holding his chest.

The scene had been too unimaginable for her.

It was like riding a roller coaster. Lin Yi brought them on an absolute ride.

“Lin Yi, did you really develop that medicine? It’s not just a prop to fool them?”

“How could it be a prop? Pfizer’s scale is clear for all to see. When there’s a huge difference in size, a simple trick won’t do much. We still have to rely on our genuine ability.”

“But that drug… Can it really replace ibuprofen?”

“That’s right. If you can, I hope you’ll give us the green light to get to the clinical phase as soon as possible.”

“But I’d be lying if you said it didn’t have a single flaw. Compared to the Pfizer’s ibuprofen, this drug’s biggest flaw is that it’s slow to take effect. Ibuprofen takes only thirty minutes to take effect. This drug, on the other hand, takes a day. That’s also the advantage of Western medicine. The two can’t be compared.

“But we have our own advantages. Because this is a regular medicine, patients have to take it every day, so it takes a little longer to take effect. Actually, this not a big problem… Huh? Why are you looking straight at me?”

“No, nothing…” Liang Ruoxu said, “I’m just surprised. How did you develop this medicine?”

“I can’t help it. Maybe I’m the chosen one. The upper ceiling for male animals? Like lions.”

“You mean you’re as fierce as a lion?”

“No, I’m like a lion in that I can have sex with any female I want and then no one can call me a scumbag.”

“Jerk!”

“Alright, that’s all for today. Wait for my news on the next step.” Lin Yi winked. “The show has just begun.”

“Yes.” Liang Ruoxo nodded with a smile as bright as the sun.

She opened the door and got out. Lin Yi didn’t leave. He simply held the door and said,

“I told you before that I’d give you two years to straighten up. Now, we might have to make that two months.”

With that, Lin Yi put his hands in his pockets, hummed a little tune, and got into his Shari with a nonchalant stride.

In the rearview mirror, Liang Ruoxu watched Lin Yi leave, her smile growing even brighter.

“You may be scum, but you really are a radiant man!”
