Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 5 Solicitation

Chapter 5 Solicitation
Perhaps Lin Ye’s consolation was too much, he obviously felt the other party twitch suddenly, as if his young heart had received a critical blow.

Sure enough, Qin Lie, who refused to believe the facts in front of him, grabbed Lin Ye’s body armor and asked in a trembling voice:

”I saw the army drop a few nuclear bombs into the center of Yancheng City, isn’t it effective?”

In order to reassure him completely, Lin Ye raised his finger to the towering portal in the distance, and said indifferently:

”Did you see that portal? That’s the source of the catastrophe. With the current level of human technology, it can’t be destroyed at all! Moreover, nuclear bombs and the like don’t do much, but make the zombies stronger! ”

After hearing these words, Qin Lie should have been frightened, and silently lowered his head, no longer responding.

Looking at the other party’s appearance, Lin Ye shrugged.

That’s fine, if you don’t quickly recognize the reality in the apocalypse, you will basically end up dead.

In the movie, it was only half a second of footage, and it was the cannon fodder that died tragically in the mouth of the zombies.

Lin Ye sat on the metal box beside him and took out the cigarette case from his pocket, only to find that there was only one cigarette left in it.

He frowned and thought for a moment, and finally took it out with a gritted teeth.

He looked at the portal that was flashing purple-blue current, and slowly exhaled a smoke ring, then turned his head to look at Qin Lie who was absent-minded, and said coldly:
”It’s hard to survive alone in the apocalypse, join my team!”

Qin Lie didn’t give an answer, but leaning on his helmet, he turned his head to look at the way he came, with a complicated look on his face.

What happened last night has already made him afraid to trust others.

And Lin Ye, who already knew the other party’s experience, handed over the half-smoked cigarette, and his tone suddenly became a little serious:
”You can never trust other people in the doomsday, this is the law of survival! Of course, except for teammates and family members!”

After a long time, Qin Lie turned his head and said, ”Thank you, you are really a good person!”

”Oh, I can’t stand that!” Lin Ye waved his hands and laughed, and then continued to ask, ”How do you think about the proposal just now?”

Qin Lie originally wanted to refuse, but the bright smile on Lin Ye’s face made him slightly taken aback.

He stayed in the shelter for three months. Everyone there had a cold face and a gloomy look in their eyes.

Only when seeing food, will there be different expressions.

But this guy named Lin Ye in front of him, what the hell is he laughing at? Isn’t this the end of the day!
Qin Lie was really unbelievable, but for some reason, he couldn’t help laughing along with it.

He touched the corners of his raised mouth, and suddenly felt that the emotions he had suppressed for a long time finally relaxed.

After recovering, he immediately held Lin Ye’s hand and said solemnly, ”My name is Qin Lie!”

”Lin Ye!” Before he finished speaking, a system electronic sound rang in Lin Ye’s ears.

Immediately afterwards, a translucent window appeared in front of my eyes:

【Follower: Qin Lie】

【Command: 10[+1]】

When the bond relationship becomes [follower], it means that the other party is loyal to Lin Ye from now on.

However, loyalty is not permanently fixed, it can be upgraded, and it can also be downgraded.

All personal connections have to be managed by himself.

And once the bond relationship is confirmed, the floating island will give the other party an attribute bonus of the same level.

If you unlock military facilities later, such as barracks, there will be stronger bonus effects.

In addition, the survival points gained by followers from killing alien creatures will all be concentrated on the lord.

That’s a pretty cool feature!
After browsing the property information, Lin Ye closed the panel window with satisfaction.

He winked at the direction Qin Lie was looking at just now, and pretended to ask casually:

”I saw you hesitated just now, why, do you have any other concerns?”

Qin Lie quickly shook his head: ”No, I’m just saying goodbye to my family, they... all failed to survive!”

Hearing this, Lin Ye suddenly chuckled, and joked, ”Then your burden will be heavy in the future!”

”Why?” Qin Lie was a little puzzled.

”Because, you have to carry their hope and work hard to live!”

After all, Lin Ye got up, carried the metal box on the ground back to the predator, then turned around and shouted at the guy who was still in a daze:
”Why stand there stupidly, get in the car and follow me to the shelter!”

”Hey, here we come!” Qin Lie heard the sound, immediately raised his hand to wipe his face, and then trotted over.

He sat in the co-pilot, looked around the car, and couldn’t help shouting: ”Wow, brother Lin, your car is really big!”

”Look at you, who has never seen the world, what’s so surprising about a small broken car, sit tight!”

With the roar of the engine, the Paramount Predator ran over several private cars along the way and rushed straight to the middle of the street.

After the off-road vehicle drove for more than ten minutes, Qin Lie gradually realized that something was wrong.

There are collapsed buildings outside the window, and the traces of scorched black are clearly visible. He couldn’t help being surprised and said:

”Brother Lin, why are you driving to the city center? Didn’t this place suffer a nuclear attack? It’s full of radioactive dust!”

Lin Ye looked at the devastated urban area through the windshield, and at the same time explained to Qin Lie in the passenger seat:

”The radiation has long been absorbed by the zombies, and now there is no abnormality in the center of the city except for PM2.5 exceeding the standard.”

The two returned to the villa, but before they got close to the gate, Lin Ye saw zombies wandering around the protective net.

He immediately frowned, obviously he had already cleaned up all the nearby zombies, and the wave of zombies last night was also completely wiped out.

But now, these dead things have appeared again, and there is something wrong with the number!

He roughly counted at least two hundred.

They were all moving slowly in one direction, but when they saw a car, they roared and turned around and rushed towards them.

In addition, there is a large group of carrion crows in the distance, hovering over the protective net at the moment.

Why did this group of picky crows take a fancy to the corpses of zombies?
Lin Ye was quite puzzled. He told Qin Lie to sit in the car while he picked up the shotgun, jumped out of the car and ran over to check.

After a burst of gunfire, the surroundings returned to their former calm.

He kicked away the crows all over the ground, walked to the side of the protective net, and found that there were several corpses on the ground that were about to be pecked into bones by crows.

This is not a mutated walking corpse, nor is it the gray-green skeleton of a zombie. It seems to be a human who has just died.

Lin Ye seemed to have thought of something. He searched the surrounding area for a long time, but he came across a bolt cutter that fell on the ground.

It seemed that someone was thinking about this villa, but before he had time to cut the protective net, the alarm device was triggered and he was violently shot by the automatic machine gun tower.

But in fact, these protective nets cannot be cut at all.

Because this is just an illusory projection, it looks almost the same as the villa on the floating island.

As long as those people have good eyesight and intelligence, they can find abnormalities without getting close to it.

And in order to harvest more zombies, the villa was projected by Lin Ye at the intersection of the main road, which looked very strange at first glance.

It’s a pity that their strong curiosity made them think wrongly, but the defense system didn’t give the intruder a chance to escape.

However, what makes Lin Ye curious is that this is the core block close to the portal, surrounded by ruins of buildings destroyed by nuclear explosions and zombies enhanced by nuclear radiation. How could anyone dare to come here?

The guts are fat!
He picked up the bolt cutters, and as soon as he got back into the car, Qin Lie stretched his neck and asked:

”What happened?”

Lin Ye responded helplessly: ”We are missed!”

He restarted the engine and drove to the front of the villa.

At first, they were far away, so Qin Lie couldn’t see what this villa looked like.

But when the off-road vehicle gradually approached the building, his whole body began to be wrong again, and he directly pressed his body against the window, and said in surprise:
”Brother Lin, why is there a villa here? It’s too weird!”

”I’ll explain it to you after I go in!”

Accompanied by Qin Lie’s terrified shouts beside him, Lin Ye slammed on the accelerator and rushed directly towards the wall.
