Chapter 126 A Respected Hero

Chapter 126 A Respected Hero

Lin Ye was also wearing clothes.

It was the tactical uniform worn from Blue Star to El Star.

However, after putting on the tight battle armor, it is quite inconvenient to wear the action suit, and it is uncomfortable to always rub the crotch when moving.

So when he went to the city to investigate the situation, he took off all his tactical clothes, leaving only short sleeves, slacks and bottoms on his body, completely dressed at home.

But the explosion just now directly damaged the armor.

The unprotected body, under the erosion of the heat wave, the outer clothes were reduced to ashes.

Fortunately, Lin Ye also has a certain degree of self-healing ability under the effect of [Blood of the Zerg], so the large area of burns on the body surface has been healed.

Finally, the scene that the guards saw happened.

The situation on the ruins can be clearly seen from the second floor of the castle.

That fellow Qin Lie immediately shouted: ”Hey, brother Lin, you have a good figure!”

After that, he ran out of the castle again, carrying a satchel, stood outside the ruins and said loudly:
”Brother Lin, I still have a set of local national costumes here, which look good, you can wear them as soon as possible!” Qin Lie

Lin Ye took the satchel and found out a set of dark black robes with a matching lining inside, which looked a bit complicated.

However, at this time, he had no choice but to put on his clothes shyly in front of the eyes of all the strong men.

On the second floor, Rita put down the binoculars in her hand, and after calming down, she ran into the courtyard with a flushed face and walked towards the ruins.

”Why did you come here suddenly? Rita summoned you?”

After getting dressed, Lin Ye walked out with a relaxed expression, stepping on the red bricks and rubble.

The leading guards froze for a moment, then immediately gave up their positions.

Behind the crowd appeared the heroic officer who threw the ”bomb”. He walked to the front and bowed his head.

He looked at the ruins in front of him, with a trace of surprise in his eyes, but also a bit of admiration.

However, there are still very important things to report in front of him, so he immediately put away his admiration and began to explain the situation:
”I noticed a sudden crisis in that building, so after notifying the Commander, I immediately drove the airship and went to the safety and security center to rescue the soldiers. Unexpectedly, it was still a step late!
In addition, something happened to the security center, and you need to go...”

Before the other party could finish speaking, Lin Ye quickly stepped forward and slowly helped him up:
”What’s your name, and what’s your position?”

”Temple Guard Area A Patrol Team, Vice Captain, Sweet!” Sweet responded respectfully.

”What?” Lin Ye thought he had heard it wrong at first. Such a courageous and capable guy turned out to be only the deputy captain of the patrol team.

Did something go wrong?
Lin Ye turned around and looked at Rita with puzzled eyes.

Rita sighed helplessly and explained:

”Most of the high-ranking positions in the army are based on connections, like the captain you saw at the banquet before, their family is also quite powerful in the temple, and they are one of Samson’s partners. ”

”Then you didn’t stop this phenomenon?” Lin Ye thought of what she said before.

[Use the light blade in your hand to make a fair and just ruling and eradicate those evils lurking in the darkness]

It seems that she did not achieve this goal in the end.

Rita’s cheeks, which had just returned to normal, were once again stained with a layer of blush.

”The involvement is too complicated, and a rebellion will break out if you are not careful, so I...”

Lin Ye nodded, ”But now you can do it freely. We eradicate the cancer of Samson, and from a certain point of view, it is also a big cleansing of the temple.”

After saying this, he turned around and looked at the guard soldiers.

”After today, the ranks of the Temple Guards will no longer be directly assigned based on family power, and all ranks will be promoted based on military merit.

But you don’t have to worry about staying here and not getting military merits, because we will go through many wars later, and you will have more space to display your strength! ”

Before the words fell, there were bursts of low shouts from the crowd.

”Have you ever been to the surface of El Star?” Lin Ye looked at Sweet and asked suddenly.

The reason why he had such doubts was because he saw that this person was agile, his judgment was quite decisive, and he seemed to have good leadership skills.

When several airships landed just now, nearly a hundred temple guards, divided into groups, groped around the courtyard in an orderly manner to check for suspicious targets near the castle.

And several teams moved to the castle to assess the damage to the messy side hall.

In addition to the ground troops, there are two floating airships in the air, one in front and one behind, firmly guarding the airspace above the castle.

He originally thought it was a captain who was dispatching behind the scenes, but when everyone made way for Sweet to come out, he had the answer in his heart.

Sweet laughed a little embarrassedly:
”Yes, it’s just that I was injured later, so I didn’t have the chance to go out again.”

Injuried?

Lin Ye took a look at the other party, except for a scar a few centimeters long on his slightly weathered face, he didn’t seem to be able to see any injuries.

Could it be that the body surface covered by clothes is full of ”heavy military exploits”?
However, what happened next was completely beyond his imagination.

Noticing Lin Ye’s numerous gazes, Sweet didn’t hide, and directly lifted his trouser legs and rolled up his sleeves.

In the clothes, there are no limbs like ordinary Ayres.

It is a metal prosthesis assembled from many parts.

Legs, arms, that’s all.

Since the prosthetic limbs are extremely functional and indistinguishable from real limbs, Lin Ye couldn’t tell them apart for a while.

”How do you...”

Sweet raised his foot and shook, jokingly said:

”Hey, when I went to fight on El Star more than 20 years ago, I was ambushed by the Zerg and the entire regiment was wiped out, but I escaped by luck and only suffered minor injuries.

Elder Erwin’s virus serum also pulled me back from the moment before the mutation, otherwise, I would be a test subject in a petri dish now! ”

Sweet said, laughing loudly.

But the guard soldiers around fell silent.

These people are very young, and they joined the Temple Guards not long ago, and they have never left the temple since they picked up the beam gun.

They had never seen the desolate Aiur planet, nor had they had close contact with insectoid creatures. Even under Samson’s control, they had never even seen what an insect nest looked like.

As for the warriors who went to the El star, there are very few who can come back alive, so each one is a respected hero.

But some forces in the temple are not optimistic about these soldiers who have dedicated their lives to the Al civilization.

These elite people only value the surplus value of each resident.

Those heroes are treated casually because of the loss of residual value.

This move filled the hearts of the young guards with disgust, but they didn’t dare to resist.

That’s why they were so shocked when Lin Ye said those words just now.
