Global Cataclysm: Start building a floating island

Chapter 139 Devour

Chapter 139 Devour
As a Zerg creature with strong perception ability, No. [-] is very sensitive to changes in the surrounding environment.

He sensed that the air was filled with electric charges, and they were colliding with each other, emitting tiny electric currents.

This is Lin Ye’s electrostatic force field.

He also experienced it at the beginning. Although it didn’t seem very powerful, the actual damage was considerable and should not be underestimated.

If a large number of charges collide in the electrostatic field, then the instantaneous high-voltage current is enough to turn the living organisms in it into coke.

If you can’t kill with one blow, staying in the electrostatic field for a long time to fight is undoubtedly your own destruction.

Killer No. [-] retreated decisively, and his figure disappeared into the smoke and dust in an instant.

He walked through the streets and alleys near the ruins of the factory. He was very familiar with the terrain here, whether it was the direction of a pipe or a certain intersecting alley.

Although the streets and alleys are full of large and small pipes full of oil, they are simple and dirty, but they are the homes of the civilians in Area C.

It is also the place he engraves deepest in his memory.

Because this was once his home.

Back then, when he was desperate and robbing and stealing everywhere, he was almost beaten to death by the temple guards.

But a man in a high-end dress saved him.

”Do you want to get rid of this life? Do you want to live the life of a District A resident?”

The man’s voice was full of magnetism, and these two questions that hit the soul made him feel even more excited.

He didn’t want to spend his whole life in the dark place of Area C.

For a better future, he agreed to the man’s request.

That is, since then, he began to accept a series of cruel life body experiments, as well as a large number of dangerous drug tests.

He even ditched the original name that symbolized the lower class and replaced it with ”Number Two”.

At this time, number two, who was a little tired, was flapping his wings and constantly changing his position in the air.

”Even if that kid has great abilities, he can’t find me in this intricate terrain!” Panting, he secretly rejoiced in his heart.

Indeed, let alone a large area of factory ruins, the smoke and dust in the air is already a headache, and people who have never been here may really get lost in the maze-like streets and alleys nearby.

However, Lin Ye, who has the blood of Zerg, is different.

No matter how weak the Zerg aura on No. [-] was, he could still lock it firmly with the power of his blood.

For example, at this time, the killer was using his flying ability to switch positions in the surrounding smoke and dust, as if he was looking for the best attack angle.

Even though he was injured, his movements were not as flexible as before, and his body was full of flaws, but the No. [-] killer did not attack rashly, because having flaws does not necessarily mean a one-hit kill.

Lin Ye has many tricks, and if he fails, he will be counter-killed.

At this time, only the wreckage of the airship burning with flames remained around the ruins, as well as the low-level Zerg creatures who heard the call and gradually surrounded them.

The electric charge in the electrostatic field covers the body surface of these bugs, and in the friction generated by the swinging limbs, a crackling sound is released.

In the beginning, nothing happened, but as the amount of charges accumulated increased, the amount of current generated by the friction became larger and larger. A random blow of the current would leave a scorched black hole on their body surface.

The low-level Zerg creatures who suffered from pain began to howl uncontrollably, but in order to respond to the call of the high-level Zerg, they had to move closer to Lin Ye.

As a result, the surrounding space was extremely noisy, and Lin Ye was distracted by the noise.

It was during this gap that he lost contact with the No. [-] killer, and he couldn’t find that breath no matter what.

At this moment, there was a sound of piercing through the smoke and dust in the distance, and then a blue-purple current as thick as an arm was released in the air.

A figure appeared behind the electric current.

Although Killer No. [-]’s attack was affected by the electrostatic field to a certain extent, the accuracy and power did not drop much.

Almost in the blink of an eye, Lin Ye was in front of him, and two sharp claws were heading straight for his forehead.

The situation was critical, and [Intuition] took effect instantly, Lin Ye dodged back almost subconsciously, avoiding the range of the chelicerus swing.

The scythe-sharp chelicerus split the air and let out a piercing scream, and then the hard front claws slapped directly on the stone brick in front of him.

The stone bricks burst, and debris flew everywhere.

Lin Ye took this opportunity to step forward quickly, and at the same time swung his right hand, turning his fist into a claw.

He wanted to break open the chest of No. [-] Killer, directly smashing the crystal nucleus buried deep in the body.

But the No. [-] killer had quick eyesight and quick hands. While quickly retreating to avoid the attack, he used the surrounding low-level Zerg creatures as cannon fodder and dragged them over abruptly.

Lin Ye had no choice but to forcibly kill these hindering Zerg creatures.

But after killing a few of them in a row, the movements of his feet stopped, and he froze in place.

There are some abnormalities in the system interface. While gaining survival points, he seems to have absorbed some strange substances from these Zerg corpses.

These blood-like substances volatilized into the air, and then turned into thin energy streams, which were poured into the energy lines of the battle armor.

The armor worn on the body, which was about to run out of energy, seemed like a traveler in the desert had found supplies, and began to frantically absorb these unknown energies.

And not only the battle armor, but even the blood in his body began to fill up continuously.

The wound on his abdomen is recovering at an astonishing speed. Although it is not as strong as the second killer’s regenerative ability, it is still very surprising.

Due to the fight just now, the charges in the electrostatic force field are constantly colliding.

The dense electric current shocked those low-level Zerg creatures who had no ability to fight back until they were scorched on the outside and tender on the inside, and died suddenly on the spot.

Therefore, the energy flow slowly condensed from them was all absorbed by Lin Ye.

At this moment, a system notification sounded in his ear:

[Warframe skill: [Swallow LV.1], successfully activated]

”Swallow?” Lin Ye was startled, and got up from the ground in great surprise.

While guarding against the No. [-] killer, he quickly glanced at the skill panel.

According to the skill description, as long as it is a specific creature killed by him, it can absorb a certain percentage of energy feedback.

And the static force field is his exclusive armor skill, so the Zerg creatures that died in the static force field are also counted as dying at the hands of Lin Ye.

Therefore, the combination of the two skills can produce immeasurable effects.

The range of the electrostatic force field is also completely calculated according to his skill level, the higher the skill level, the wider the coverage.

Maybe if he upgrades to the end, he will be able to get in and out of the Zerg army like leeks and rice harvesters.

Perhaps the system responded to Lin Ye’s thoughts, and then something even more astonishing happened.
