Rebirth: Starting with 10 Billion Us Dollars

65: Chapter 65: Earning a staggering 3 billion US dollarsAs time ticked by, the sky back home gradually darkened, yet the trading room on the top floor of the Tianxing Technology Building remained brightly lit.

On the central large screen, gold prices continued to fluctuate slightly; short-selling capital was still entering the market, persistently suppressing the price of gold.

Chen Mo’s trading team continued to build positions in an orderly manner. One long order after another was established quietly, just waiting for the final moment of explosion.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the world...

In America, on Wall Street, the trading floor of a top-tier investment bank was bustling with noise and excitement.

Countless traders stared at the big screens, shouting and looking frantic. The sound of keyboard clicking, yelling, and cheering merged into one.

“Quick! Add another 1 billion in short orders! The Federal Reserve is bound to taper QE today!”

“Gold is definitely going to crash this time! At least a 10% drop, we’ll blow all the bulls out of the water!”

“Gentlemen! We’re going to make a fortune! Harvesting the global bulls—after tonight, we will be Wall Street legends!”

The blonde trading supervisor, Tom, said with a smug smile on his face:

“Today is doomsday for the bulls! Whoever goes long dies! Smash all capital into short orders, don’t hesitate!”

Under his command, massive amounts of capital frantically poured into gold short orders. The international gold price edged down again, falling to $1,335 per ounce.

In the top-floor trading room of Tianxing Technology, a trader looked at the data on the screen and turned to report to Zhao Yuan:

“Manager Zhao, the gold price has dropped again, down to 1335. Short-selling capital is still entering. Should we pause our position-building and wait for a lower point?”

Zhao Yuan didn’t answer immediately but turned to look at Chen Mo.

Chen Mo leaned back in his chair and said with his eyes closed:

“No need to wait. A drop is a good thing; it’s the perfect time to accumulate at low prices. Speed up the position-building. Regardless of how the gold price fluctuates, make sure all positions are fully established before 2:00 AM. Don’t leave a single cent behind.”

“Understood! President Chen!”

After Zhao Yuan finished speaking, he turned to the traders and said,

“Continue building positions, speed it up. Ignore short-term fluctuations, go all-in!”

“Received!”

The traders immediately accelerated the pace of building their positions.

Zhang Lei monitored the risks in real-time and reported from the side:

“President Chen, current progress is at 80%. We’ve invested 40 billion USD. The accounts are all normal with no abnormal fluctuations. Platform liquidity is sufficient, and no slippage has occurred.”

Li Feng followed up:

“President Chen, Wall Street is still shorting frantically. Short sentiment has reached an extreme. Our long position building is going very smoothly and hasn’t attracted the attention of any institutions.”

Chen Mo slowly opened his eyes, yawned, and said:

“Very good, continue. You’ve all worked hard. Put in a bit more effort and make sure to finish building the positions within an hour.”

Time slowly reached 1:40 AM.

At this moment, Zhao Yuan’s voice came through:

“President Chen, position-building is complete. 50 billion USD in long orders are all in place. The all-in entry is finished!”

Zhang Lei also said from the side:

“President Chen, risk control monitoring shows everything is normal. The accounts are secure, capital flow is smooth, and we can close positions and exit at any time.”

Li Feng said:

“President Chen, the news on the Federal Reserve’s official website hasn’t been posted yet. The global market is waiting. Wall Street has quieted down for now; everyone is waiting for the resolution to be announced.”

Chen Mo sat up straight, looking at the Federal Reserve website interface on the large screen, and said:

“Everyone get ready. Once the resolution is announced, follow my instructions to close positions. You must operate quickly, no hesitating!”

“Yes! President Chen!”

Everyone in the trading room responded in unison.

Exactly 2:00 AM.

The Federal Reserve’s official website released the latest interest rate resolution on time:

“The Federal Reserve has decided: To maintain the current QE scale unchanged and temporarily not taper asset purchases.”

In an instant, everyone in the entire trading room was stunned, followed by an eruption of cheers!

“It’s up! President Chen! The gold price is up!”

“It’s rising! The gold price is skyrocketing in a straight line!”

Meanwhile, on the other side of the globe on Wall Street!

“Fuck! How is that possible! Didn’t they agree to taper QE?!”

“Dammit! We’re all short! All of them are short orders!”

“We’re finished now!”

Tom slumped into his chair, his previous smugness long gone, replaced only by a face full of despair:

“It’s over... it’s all over... we’re going to lose everything this time!”

“Quick! Cut the positions! Cut them now! Then reverse and go long! If we don’t run now, we’ll be liquidated!”

In the trading hall, the sounds of crying, cursing, keyboards being smashed, and chairs colliding mixed together. Countless institutions suffered massive losses, funds were liquidated, and the entirety of Wall Street fell into chaos and wailing.

On the global gold market, just as Chen Mo had judged, the price of gold shot up like a rocket. The numbers on the screen were constantly refreshing:

1340, 1360, 1380, 1400! In just five minutes, the price of gold surged by 6.5%, breaking directly through $1,400 per ounce. The increase was staggering; the bulls completely took control of the market, and the bears were harvested ruthlessly, left without any power to fight back.

In the top-floor trading room of Tianxing Technology, Zhao Yuan stared at the profit data on the screen and reported quickly:

“President Chen! We’ve made a killing! With a 50 billion USD position and a 6.5% increase, the paper profit is a full 3.25 billion USD!!”

Zhang Lei rapidly calculated the costs and then immediately reported:

“President Chen, after deducting the transaction fees from the three major platforms, spreads, and various trading costs, the net profit is estimated to be 3 billion USD!”

Zhao Yuan looked at Chen Mo and asked:

“President Chen! Gold is still rising frantically. Should we wait a bit longer to earn more? Another 1% rise would mean an extra 500 million USD!”

Chen Mo shook his head and said without the slightest hesitation:

“No need to wait. Quit while we’re ahead and lock in the profits.”

“Close all accounts, sell everything, leave nothing behind.

Disperse the closing across the 42 accounts. Although 50x leverage is compliant and won’t be targeted by the platforms or flagged by regulators, we must take precautions to ensure the funds can exit smoothly.”

“Yes! President Chen!”

Zhao Yuan dared not delay.

“Attention all traders, immediately initiate the exit plan. Operate across the 42 accounts. Close everything—be steady and be fast. We must ensure the safe exit of the funds!”

“Received!”

All the traders responded in unison.

Then, their fingers flew across the keyboards, their movements practiced and swift.

On the large screen, one long order after another was closed. The 50 billion USD in capital exited quietly from the frantically rising market; the entire process was extremely smooth.

In a short amount of time, all accounts were completely closed.

A trader stopped their movements and turned to report to Zhao Yuan:

“Manager Zhao, all positions are closed, and the funds have been successfully transferred out!”

Zhang Lei finished calculating the final profit and then reported to Chen Mo:

“President Chen, in this gold operation, the principal was 1 billion USD. Using 50x leverage, the total capital reached 50 billion USD. After deducting all costs, the final net profit is 3 billion USD!”

“3 billion USD!”

The traders sucked in a breath of cold air, contributing their part to global warming.

Although they all knew President Chen’s capabilities, their eyes were still filled with nothing but admiration for him.

1 billion in principal, one day’s time, a net profit of 3 billion USD—a threefold increase. This was simply a miracle in financial history!

They had struggled in the financial industry for so many years but had never seen such precise, sharp, and rapid operations. Following President Chen, they had truly witnessed what was called the ’Hand of God.’

Turning clouds into rain and rain into clouds in the financial market!

Chen Mo looked at the final funds that had arrived on the screen, smiled slightly, and stretched.

3 billion USD, equivalent to over 18 billion RMB.

He raised his hand and looked at everyone in the trading room, saying:

“Alright, it’s only 3 billion USD, don’t get too excited.”

Hearing Chen Mo’s words, Zhao Yuan was somewhat speechless!

3 billion USD! And he says ’only’!

President Chen, do you even hear yourself!

Chen Mo saw Zhao Yuan’s expression and ignored it directly:

“Zhao Yuan, make arrangements immediately to transfer this 3 billion USD back home in batches. Split the funds properly to ensure they arrive safely.”

“Zhang Lei, follow the entire transfer process. You must handle risk control well and prevent any accidents from occurring.”

“Li Feng, take the analyst team and continue monitoring global financial market trends.”

“Once the funds arrive, take out fifty million RMB to distribute as bonuses, and I’ll leave 100 million USD in the financial account for you guys to operate!”

“Yes, President Chen!”

Everyone responded in unison, their eyes filled with excitement.
