Super Electric Eel Avatar

231 Total Conflic
Its gaze was like a cold machete. Anyone who looked at it would feel frightened. Its look revealed that it was totally calm and fearless. In fact, it was the look that could only be possessed by one who had undergone the baptism of time.

Being stared at by the leader of the gorillas did not cause Chen Fan to be stressed at all. This was because Chen Fan was at an elevation of over a thousand meters, while the gorilla was no more than 15 meters tall and obviously did not have wings.

The next moment, Chen Fan realized that his judgment was terribly wrong. After seeing the golden eagle in the sky, the huge gorilla put down the trunk and picked up a large rock.

Then, he whirled the rock, which was over half a meter tall, above his head, just like a tornado. He then threw it towards Cloudracer.

It is common knowledge that the anatomy of gorillas closely resembles that of humans. It is also known that primates can use simple tools, and that a gorilla weighing 150 kilograms can shove a car a distance of four meters in just one push...

Boom!!!

It was difficult to describe how strong the gorilla was. To provide an idea, however, it threw the rock, which weighed a few hundred kilograms, at the speed of a crossbow projectile!

”Tweet! Ah!”

Cloudracer and Chen Fan, both being inexperienced in such situations, shouted out simultaneously. The first was flapping its wings desperately, while the other was clinging tightly onto the handle in front of him.

Their reactions were actually quite exaggerated. If the adult golden eagle were to have been there instead, it would definitely have remained much calmer, as the gorilla was over a thousand meters away from the eagle. Over this distance, even a bullet shot by the Barrett anti-material rifle would take more than an entire second to reach it.

Vroom!

After 2.5 seconds, the heavy rock flew past the golden eagle. It rushed by roughly eleven meters on its left. The speed was so fast, Chen Fan was certain that it would smash the two into sludge, should it hit them!

”Let’s go!” Chen Fan yelled. Not daring to stay any longer, he immediately urged Cloudracer to escape.

Roar!

Just as the lead gorilla was throwing the rock, a black wild boar, which was over ten meters in length and had tusks taller than a human body, howled and charged towards that plant.

Bang!

Without even using the weapon in its hand, a big gorilla closest to it lifted its left paw to slap the side of the boar’s head. The sound the impact created was even louder than thunder.

The boar flew forward immediately, its body slanted and blood oozing out from its ears and nose. The scene was like cold water being poured into boiling oil: the group of animals, which had been staring at the plant, went totally berserk. All of them roared and charged towards the circle of huge gorillas.

Chen Fan, who had already escaped far away from the place, looked back to see a scene that he would remember for the rest of his life. The more than 20 ”guardians” reminded him of Megatron from the movie Transformers. Whenever they attacked, they would kill whatever and whoever were in their paths, instantly. The scene was so bloody, that ordinary people would not have been able to tolerate even the sight of it.

Whenever an animal was smashed by a trunk, either its brain fluid would burst out or its bones would be crushed. The most tragic animal was a reptile with two huge horns on its head. Just as it opened its mouth wide to bite the arm of a gorilla, which was fighting with other monsters, a trunk came out of nowhere and was inserted into its mouth. Then, the trunk was also inserted into its belly with the same force. Next, the gorilla raised its arm and lifted the reptile in the air, throwing it hard at another animal.

Needless to say, the trunks the gorillas were holding were definitely something similar to iron sandalwood trunks, which had the absolute high resistance to impact. Otherwise, it would not be possible that, after fighting with the animals for so long, there were still no cracks in the trunks.

...

”It’s so scary!”

Five minutes later, Chen Fan, who had returned to the seaside, leaned against the electric eel’s back, while patting his own chest. He was astounded that the gorilla could actually throw a rock over a thousand meters, and then, that the rock was still powerful when it reached them over that distance!

After calming down from the shock of all that had just happened, an even more shocking question came into Chen Fan’s mind. Compared to humans, animals understand the phrase ”to act according to one’s ability” even better. For example, a wolf will never go and fight with a tiger. So, what was this treasure that could cause so many clever animals to risk their lives?

Judging from the roars he had heard during that period of time, there were at least a few hundred animals that had already been killed by the gorillas. Since so many of these animals had tried to bite off more than they could chew, which eventually got them all killed, it meant that the thing being guarded by the gorillas must be extremely attractive and valuable to them. Perhaps, it could even make them immortal!

”Immortality, perhaps? Should I go and take that plant, then?” Chen Fan mumbled to himself and kept rubbing his head, wondering aloud with hesitation.

There were 27 silverback gorillas. If Chen Fan really wanted to eliminate them, he only needed to use his brain and think of some feasible way. The problem was that he was totally unsure of the plant’s effects, meaning that he did not know whether he would get back an adequate return as compared to the price he would be paying to get it. If he did get the plant in the end, if the plant was useless, he would be taking a very huge loss!

Seems like I need to observe things a bit longer..

Standing up and dusting himself off, Chen Fan entered the armored vehicle, planning to return to the cave in Zhongyun. Logging into his computer, Chen Fan opened the UBS website, only to realize that three days had already passed!

What’s more, during this time, the Ohno Group had still yet to send over the liquidated damages! Until today, the Ohno Group had already sent their liquidated damages four times, a total of which was 870 million USD. Since they had delayed for so long this time, perhaps they wanted to repudiate the debt...

”Humph, I will give you three more days. If you still refuse to pay the money, I will make you pay in more serious ways!” Sneering, Chen Fan sent an email over to them, demanding the liquidated damages.

Meanwhile, in the Takeda Building in Shinjuku, Tokyo, a small meeting among the board members of the Ohno Group was taking place.

”Alright. I think everyone already knows the reason for this meeting.” In front of the brown oval meeting table, Goro Ota cleared his throat, a serious expression on his face.

”We have three offshore drilling platforms left now, and can only produce two hundred thousand barrels of crude oil daily. Even if our crews work day and night without rest, the oil produced can only meet the requirements in the oil supply contract with Matsui Chemicals. Since Matsui Chemicals is a semi-military factory, we can only terminate the other two oil agreements to prevent us from suffering further losses. If anyone has any opinion on this, please share it now. We will then decide on the outcome of the proposed plan by raising our hands.”

”Sir, after the plan is carried out, what will we do about the liquidated damages on the agreement? One of them is a subsidiary company under our group, and there will not be any legal disputes or liquidated damages.” A middle-aged man, the third person sitting on the left at the table, asked, frowning.

”And, how about our agreement with Kate Rozanne, the Chinese agreement? The liquidated damages on the agreement are as high as 200%, and we have already delayed the payment this time by three days. Furthermore, if we terminate the contract just from our side, the opposite party will definitely sue us. By then, the the office will certainly conclude that the agreement is in effect, so we will then actually have to pay the liquidated damages.”

”The plan to refuse to pay the liquidated damages is not my idea, but that of the Nakagawa family. If things continue to be like this, by the time the agreement ends, we must pay liquidated damages as high as seven billion USD. This is an astronomical number that we cannot, and will not, accept. As for legal issues, the Nakagawa family has decided to use internal communication to settle them.”

”Since this is the plan of the Nakagawa family, I have no objections.”

”Me either!”

After hearing this, all the directors seated were no longer interested in further discussion. In less than five seconds, all of them raised their hands in agreement.

In the afternoon, instead of getting the liquidated damages, Chen Fan received an electronic letter of notice from the Ohno Group, which read:

Dear Mr. Kate Rozanne. Because four of our oil wells have successively experienced irreparable major accidents, we have to drill four new oil wells on the site. Therefore, after discussing with the board, we have decided to terminate the oil supply agreement with you unilaterally.

If you wish, you can sign a new oil supply agreement with us for the following year. However, the quantity of oil and the amount of liquidated damages must be decided by our company.

”F**k. Seems like they have decided to turn against me!” Although it had been Chen Fan himself who caused their oil wells to malfunction, he still smacked the table in anger. He then typed his response:

I remember that, in the agreement, there is a line stating that we cannot terminate the agreement unilaterally. We can only terminate the agreement when all of the 78 million barrels of crude oil are delivered, which is the amount supplied in half a year, unless both of us agree otherwise. Now that you have decided to breach the contract unilaterally, I would like to ask your company if you plan to pay the liquidated damages at all?

Now it was the company’s turn to respond:

Although we regret that the agreement this time cannot be completed, please understand our difficulties. As for the liquidated damages, you can settle it via negotiation with the arbitration institutions in Tokyo.

”Settle my a**!” Chen Fan was fuming, as he would not be stupid enough to eagerly run to Japan and engage in a lawsuit.

In his opinion, the arbitration institutions in Japan were blacker than the coal in China, where many victims of the Sino-Japanese Wars had gone to sue the offenders, but no institutions had given them fair adjudication. If they really wanted justice, they had to settle it with force. These examples swirled in his thoughts.

You can wait to pay the astronomical fines from the Libya government!

Chen Fan closed his email, not even bothering to reply again. The crude oil leakage in the Gulf of Mexico gave Chen Fan an excellent inspiration, in that, that one oil well caused the largest oil company in the UK to lose tens of billions of USD.

The indirect losses were incalculable. If it hadn’t been for the UK government, which had been supporting it, it would have collapsed immediately from the chain effects, just like a game of Dominoes.

”Nakagawa family and Ohno Group, you can just wait to die!” Chen Fan was so angry, felt capable of doing anything at the moment. Lying on the bed, he planned to control the electric eel to go to the Libya seas, then overturn the oil wells there.

Of course, Chen Fan was not a hothead. Hence, he was not prone to doing anything rash, without first thinking about the consequences. Were he to destroy the oil wells, the social repercussions would definitely be enormous. The Libya government and Japan would both pay close attention to the incident, so Chen Fan had to do everything flawlessly.

In other words, Chen Fan had to do something that would not lead to them suspecting Kate Rozanne...
