208 The Little Squid
”Not bad!” Chen Fan nodded, as he was very satisfied with the appearance of the several bodyguards, figuring that, if he walks with them outside, his status would be immediately higher!

”Dear guest, how long are you going to hire them?” The key customer manager beside him asked, while smiling. He then came forward and handed Chen Fan the contract.

”It depends, maybe three days, maybe a week.” Chen Fan stuffed the paper into his backpack and looked around. ”Do you have any cars for rent here?”

”If you need a car, we can contact the company and provide the guaranteed service.” The Swiss man said sincerely, ”I suggest you choose a bulletproof lengthened Hummer car, because although it is very common, a Rolls-Royce, which is mostly rented by middle-aged customers, is not consistent with your age.”

”Well, send me the bill later.” Chen Fan nodded and walked to the sofa beside him and sat down.

”Johnny, you and Manager Zhang go to Kabushiki Co., Ltd. to rent a Hummer, and choose the bulletproof one.” The key customer manager stepped outside and patted a guard on the shoulder.

About 40 minutes later, the returning guard came in and handed the car keys to Chen Fan’s bodyguard.

”Dear Sir, if you have any trouble here, please let us know at any time. We will do our best to help you.” The key customer manager only stopped after sending Chen Fan personally to the black Hummer, which was seven and a half meters long, two meters wide and two meters high.

”Tell them to drive to the Takeda building in Shinjuku district!” Sitting in a silver-white horizontal sofa, Chen Fan leisurely and carefreely said to Dai Yu.

The price of the Hummer, though still far from his Maybach, was still impressive, and the car itself was big enough to sit comfortably. Enjoying this treatment easily in this foreign country already felt very good.

It was three o’clock in the afternoon, just one day before the auction, as the black hummer roared and arrived there. As he entered the 37-floor building, Chen Fan let Dai Yu ask regarding the specific process to participate in the auction.

After ten minutes, she ran and told Chen Fan that, in order to participate in the auction, he would need to provide at least ten billion yen of bank deposit certificates, and the enterprise’s basic data. Moreover, only a contract signed for six months or above could then obtain the cooperation qualification needed for the auction.

The bank certificate was very easy to obtain, as one just had to provide a two hundred million dollar proof of funds, and since now is an era of electronic goods, just by going to the Swiss bank internet operation, a newly generated electronic certificate could be downloaded, while the other side could simultaneously log in to the website of Swiss bank to verify authenticity.

The enterprise basic data also was not a problem to procure, as one just had to write to one of those offshore companies, and if later, when signing any contract, he could take the Kenya identity to register for it officially, then, Voila!, he would get an enterprise certificate!

Sitting in the car, Chen Fan wrote down some enterprise information on his notebook, saying that he owned a big oil tanker company in Kenya, and that he wanted to buy oil and pass it along to sell to Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar and other Asian countries. After he fixed the data, he let Dai Yu translate it, and then let the black guy that sat not far away from him, who was named Bishopp, find a place to print a few copies.

A few staff members, who were responsible for attending to guests, when they saw several strong black male bodyguards, they hurriedly came up with enthusiasm. Following that was less than 10 minutes of registering related information, and then they gave Chen Fan a white card, and said that the auction would be held in the meeting hall on the eighth floor at 9 o’clock tomorrow morning. He could then use the card to enter, but they warned that the guards couldn’t carry any offensive weapons inside there.

”Dear big boss, where are we going now?” After all the matters were done, Dai Yu smiled broadly and stepped forward to ask.

”Drive back to the mansion!” Chen Fan jilted a nonexistent sleeve robe, like he was the emperor, and beckoned the four strong black men bodyguards to leave.

Shangri-la Hotel, Tokyo, was the only one of the hotels with the same name in Japan as abroad. And, like the luxury hotels in the Marunouchi building, all the hall drop lights were handmade by a world-famous Czech Lasvit company, with one of the biggest drop lights being as tall as a three-story house! The carpets, wall adornments, flower arrangements, everything really, if casually taken out, just any of these pieces alone could boast that it was a creation of a master, and could cheat a large number of people, if resold or auctioned off.

The Swiss man helped him to order a deluxe room on the top floor. The price of one night in which was more than 8000 RMB! This was the first time that Chen Fan had stayed in such a luxury hotel, especially one with such a large media display in the sitting room, which was two times larger than the 52 inch tablet in the submarine. He immediately thought that it would be exciting to watch a porn movie on such a big screen!

”By the way, do you have anything to do tonight?” There are two rooms, and there would be no need for you to travel around tomorrow!” Back on the sofa, Chen Fan said with his face turned to Dai Yu.

The corners of her mouth smiled, and she thought for about ten seconds, then nodded. The words were ambiguous, but Chen Fan spoke them in a kind intention. Tokyo is the world’s second largest city, and is also near the top of the list as being the most densely populated city. So, if Dai Yu traveled back and forth, it would definitely hold up a lot of time.

When the lights were on, and the night had fallen, Chen Fan, who woke up from a nap-type sleep, asked the waiter for a few Chinese dinners to fill his stomach. The delicate and delicious Chinese cuisine almost made the four black men chew their tongues, and his throat was like a heavily clogged sewer, stuffed with food. They’d all eaten Chinese food, but they’d never tasted such tasty fare as this.

Chen Fan and Dai Yu’s appetite was significantly lesser than theirs, but still, Chen Fan burped satisfiedly, and let the waiter clear the tableware. From outside the sitting room, he could ambiguously hear several black men wowing about the food.

”What are you looking at?” In front of the balcony, surrounded by glass, Dai Yu walked to Chen fan and fixed her own gaze to where he was looking.

Here, in the west of Tokyo bay, standing on the top of such a height, one could see the black color afar that was out of place in the lights that shone from the buildings.

”Looking at the sea!” Chen Fan was looking down on the shoreline of the nearby sea, controlling the electric eel to find a hiding place. It was only his glassy stare that made Dai Yu think that he was meditating.

”What does that tell you?” Dai Yu imitated how he looked on the glass wall behind him!

”My feeling was that the water here is too shallow and more heinous, and that it actually doesn’t even have large coral reefs, and no fish the size of more than two meters. There were many sunken ships though...”

”What you are looking at is the Tokyo bay detailed explanation book!” Dai Yu sneered a laugh.

”I have a strong insight into the sea, much better than radar,” Chen Fan laughed and said. ”It’s just a small thing to see through a few hundred meters of water.”

”Wow, that’s awesome, I adore you!” Dai Yu’s eyes, made a teasing expression.

”I knew that you wouldn’t believe, so how about let us make a bet?” Chen Fan, who was flicking his finger, pointed to the great dark sea road. ”I predict that there will be a half meter long squid, stranded on the beach in front of us.”

”Haha …. stranded squid... ” Dai Yu laughed out loud, as she kept holding her belly and wiggling. ”But, from here to the sea is at least three miles, so don’t say half a metre long squid, because, even if it is sunny noon here, you couldn’t see even if a big shark lay there.”

”Well, you never know, if you don’t bet on it!”

”What’s the bet?” Dai Yu was confident in her own judgment, and her confidence was as strong as titanium alloy.

”Kiss me, if you lose!” Chen Fan raised his eyebrows and pointed to the corner. ”If I lose, then I’ll eat that pot of bamboo.”

”Is that squid stranded now?”

”Not yet. We can wait by the sea, and when we get there, it will soon run aground.”

”Gentlemen would not pull back their words!” Dai Yu said.

”What has been said cannot be withdrawn!”

”Let’s go, I’ll watch you come back to eat bamboo!” Dai Yu smiled and walked to the door.

A dozen minutes later, they walked to the beach. Not far behind the orange street lights, the beach scene was faintly visible.

”Where’s the squid?” Dai Yu raised her head, showing a little smugness already.

”Don’t worry, it will be there in a moment!”

When the time passed, Chen Fan closed his eyes and spread his arms, like he was spreading wings.

”It’s coming, not far to the left.” After a few seconds, Chen Fan opened his eyes and smirked. Then he strode to the left.

”Is it?” Dai Yu’s tone was still so confident, but there was now some hesitation in her steps.

”Let me see, it should be here!” After walking more than twenty meters, Chen Fan stopped to pretend to look around, and then he exclaimed, ”Here!”

A half a meter long dark red squid was stranded to the shore by the sea waves, and from the looks of its mildly squirming tentacles, its life hadn’t fully come to an end, proving that the fragile little life was just stranded out of the seawater. Flabbergasted, Dai Yu nearly dropped the glasses on her nose bridge, as she poked the squid with her finger in disbelief. The squid would easily win a prize, if it participated in the contest called ”Die immediately after stranded” in the Olympic Games. And yet, it was somehow still alive!

”About this matter... ” Chen Fan’s expression was treacherous.

”Ghost!” Dai Yu turned her head and ran!

Chen Fan’s eyes followed her helplessly, as he was shocked by her behavior.

...

”I... I... I won’t charge you for the translation, okay? Back in the hotel, the confused Dai Yu stuttered.

”If you had lost, I would not have let you eat bamboo anyway!” At last, she added quickly.

”Hehe!” Chen Fan’s insidious smile never stopped.

”I... I’m sleepy, bye!” the girl again stuttered, while attempting to back out of the room.
