Super Electric Eel Avatar

75 Made a Huge Sum
Although silver is a soft metal like gold that even a blunt knife can make a mark on it, Chen Fan did not exert much strength. Leaving a mark and the blade not being inserted are two completely different things.

”I’m gonna see how sharp you are!” Chen Fan murmured before stabbing the steel sheet wall of the dock with all his strength. The 8 millimeter steel sheet had a hole made forcefully by the dagger named Kunwu. There was a clang as Chen Fan withdrew the dagger from the steel sheet before he took a close look at it. There wasn’t any abrasion at all on the blade of the dagger.

”Magic weapon?” Chen Fan’s brain got stuck. This is an 8 millimeter steel sheet, not an 8 millimeter piece of wood.

Cutting tools produced from reputable factories were usually very sharp. For example, Gerber cutting tools made from special steel material with Rockwell hardness of around 60 could easily stab the outer shell of a diesel barrel without damaging the blade. How thick was a diesel barrel? A real high grade product would be around 3 millimeters. It must be noted that the strength increases by a geometric progression with the thickness of the steel.

”I hereby announce that you will take on my surname from now onward!” Chen Fan greedily kissed the handle of the dagger before finding a piece of sackcloth and carefully wrapped it up. He was going to find a master with great workmanship in the city to replace the handle and sheath.

If it had been a person who had gotten that stab, he would not be able to take it even if he was Schwarzenegger. However, to an over fifty-meter long electric eel, it was no different from an ordinary person being pricked by a thumbtack.

After controlling the electric eel to clean up the remains of the shipwreck, Chen Fan looked at the neatly placed silver bullion and scratched his head. It was a huge amount, but he had no way to get rid of them. After some thought, Chen Fan decided to call Zhang Xueyang to ask if he had any way out. They had already collaborated more than once, so one more time wouldn’t make any difference.

”Silver bullion?” Zhang Xueyang didn’t sound too excited over the phone. ”It’s just a few RMB per gram, you can just sell it to some jewelry recycling facility, not as if they’re gold bullion.”

”The thing is, I have four and a half tons of silver bullion. The amount is too big and it might attract unnecessary attention!”

”What did you say?” Zhang Xueyang was shocked. ”Four and a half tons? Don’t tell me you robbed some jewelry factory?”

”Come on, that’s bullshit!” Chen Fan scorned. ”So do you have any way out, otherwise I’m gonna hang up!”

”Well...there’s definitely a way out. It’s not four tons of gold. Any major jewelry factory will be able to stomach that. I have a friend whose family manages a jewelry factory, I’ll give him a call.” Zhang Xueyang paused and then said, ”But you have to lower the price because he can just get it from legal means if he earns nothing out of it!’

”Just do your best. I’ll wait for your call.” After hanging up, Chen Fan got the eel to throw all the fire stoves, crucibles, gas bottles etc away into the sea.

Ten minutes later, Zhang Xueyang called and said that his friend had agreed, but it had to be ninety-five percent of the market price.

”Sure, get him to send a truck to Fuxin Beach. I’m here right now.” Chen Fan agreed right away after doing a rough estimation and thinking that the price was still reasonable. After hanging up, Chen Fan hid the Kunwu dagger and the twenty silver bullion before going out to wait for Zhang Xueyang and his friend.

Twenty minutes later, a small white JAC truck came with Zhang Xueyang and a fat man in his thirties in it.

”Bro Chen, this is Boss Zhao whom I was talking to you about!” Zhang Xueyang warmly introduced the two after getting off the truck.

”Hello, how are you?” Chen Fan said politely before pointing to the dock behind him and gestured that the goods were inside.

”So much?” Boss Zhao gasped in astonishment, not because of the price of over 10 million RMB, but because of the amount of silver bullion. Zhang Xueyang did not say much over the phone, only saying that the amount wasn’t small. Boss Zhao had thought that Zhang Xueyang was ambiguous because he was afraid that he might not come if it was too little, but now he was the one who got a shock instead.

”How is it, Bro Zhao? Are you able to stomach all these?” Zhang Xueyang turned to Boss Zhao who was bedazzled by the shiny silver bullion.

”Of course!” Boss Zhao nodded without hesitation as he inspected the authenticity of the silver. Based on the price of ninety-five percent of the market rate, he would make at least a million RMB. There was no reason for him to say no.

”Bro Chen, please open the back door. I’ll get the truck in now to load the goods.” With this, Boss Zhao ran out feeling very pleased.

”Bro Chen, did you get involved with those Southeast Asian rascals? Otherwise, how did you get so much silver?” Zhang Xueyang looked around and then whispered to Chen Fan.

”No, I clinched a big deal recently. The other didn’t have cash, so he paid me a few tons of silver instead.”

”Bro Chen, you’re indeed an outstanding talent, a role model for our generation!” Zhang Xueyang raised his thumb up.

The three young, strong men took almost two hours to load the four and a half tons of silver onto the truck. After that, Chen Fan got into his truck and followed Boss Zhao to his factory who would weigh the goods before going to the bank to remit the funds.

16 million RMB, plus the 3 million RMB from Zhang Xueyang a few days before, totaled 19 million RMB! What an enormous figure. Even Chen Fan who had seen much big money recently had his hands trembling.

It wasn’t just purely about money. The key was being able to witness the result of his own labor. Nothing could be compared with this sense of achievement and pride, even though the sources were nothing to boast about! Taking in big gulps of air and massaging his stiffened face muscles in front of the bank, Chen Fan hailed a cab to the dock, planning to bring back the dagger and the twenty silver bullion.

After getting home and soaking in the double bathtub for a while, Chen Fan looked at the water-resistant Vacheron Constantin he got at 80 RMB on his wrist before changing into clean clothes. He was going to find a place which specialized in selling knives to make a new magnificent-looking sheath for the dagger.

The dagger was extremely sharp. Chen Fan only discovered when he got home that the sackcloth had been cut into stripes by the dagger. Only the outer layer was still intact. After wrapping the dagger with a new towel and two layers of newspaper, Chen Fan walked to the courtyard and pressed the remote of the shutter door, getting ready to drive his BMW 740 out.

At that moment, an inquisitive sounding female voice came from outside the white garden fence. ”...You...aren’t you the man who saved my aunt before?” Wu Ruoyu stood outside the fence, saying in a pleasantly surprised tone. ”What a coincidence, you’re also staying here!”
