60 Wait A Minute
”You...Who are you?” Proudly dressed in a police uniform, Xie Xiaoya sat in the car wondering.

”I am Wang Bing, and I was in the same group with your brother in the army!” Wang Bing went up to Xie Xiaoya and pointed at himself. ”Think about it carefully, six months ago when you and your family went to the railway station to meet Xie Ruijiang, I am the one who helped him carry his luggage!”

”Wang Bing?

”I heard my brother often mention this name before!” Xie Xiaoya looked at Wang Bing with her beautiful, big eyes and thought for a moment. ”Are you retired too? Why didn’t you come back and meet up with my brother?”

”Ah..ha, Wang Bing rolled his eyeballs and let out a laugh to hide his embarrassment. ”Yeah, I just retired last week and these days I’m busy with some procedures in the armed force, so I’ve had no spare time!”

”This thing will be resolved easily!” Zhang Xueyang approached Chen Fan and said with embarrassment, ”Tell your driver to call his comrade to talk about the situation and I’m sure that we can leave after only having to pay for the soup.”

”Well, let’s just see how the situation goes first. If we are detained then we’ll let him make the call.” Chen Fan looked around, and said in a low voice, ”I think this policewoman is only a junior police officer, so she won’t be able to make a big difference!”

”Rest assured brother Chen, if we are really detained, I’ll call my father to bail us out!” Zhang Xueyang patted Chen Fan’s shoulder and gave him reassurance.

While they were talking, several medical staff members pulled out a dozen men from the ship whose eyes were black and swollen and carried them into the ambulance.

”Brother….Brother Wang, can you and your friends follow me to the police station? After all, the owner of the ship made a police report.” Xie Xiaoya was recording down the details in a book and asked in an unsure manner.

”It is our civic duty to cooperate with the police!” Zhang Xueyang said with a cheeky smile. ”We drove here, so we will follow the police cars in our cars to the station.”

Rights can give citizens some privileges, but they can’t change their inherent character. Because Kong Zhi and Wang Bing each drove cars totaling about seven million RMB, the stone-cold expressions of the police softened and they greeted the men with a polite smile. They became even more warm hearted than the police who visit the elderly.

More than twenty minutes later, Chen Fan crossed over the gate for the second time in his life. The huge police badge on the gate flashed under the sun and shone with prestige. The police department had just arrested 30 to 40 young men who were involved in group fighting, causing the several investigation rooms to be packed like sardines. Chen Fan’s case was temporarily classified as a civil dispute, and the police who came to inquire, sent Chen Fan and the others to the office hall for interrogation without hesitation.

Teng! Teng! Teng!

Halfway through the interrogation, a sudden rush of footsteps from feet wearing leather shoes was heard in the hall. After that, a man in a police uniform with two bars and two stars on his shoulders rushed into the room. Just as the crowd looked suspiciously at the man, who was about 27 or 28 years old with short hair...

Pa!

The man ran to Wang Bing, brought his heels together online and saluted him very formally. ”Good day, Instructor.”

Wang Bing stood up awkwardly with his hand on his head. ”Xie Ruijiang, why did you come ?”

”Hi, instructor.” Xie Ruijiang smiled and said, ”When did you reach Zhongyun city? Why didn’t you give me a call and let me know? I only knew when my sister gave me a call from her car and said she met you when she was working on a case.”

Chen Fan and Zhang Xueyang looked at each other in surprise and saw the word ’shock’ in each other’s eyes. Was this guy an instructor in a military police school?

”Don’t talk about it anymore,” he said. ”I broke Ji Ping’s three rib bones, and after waiting in a small dark room for a few days, I was expelled.”

”Just because Ji Ping, that b*stard, is the third strongest in the whole army, doesn’t mean that he could go bossing us around. I wanted to beat him up a long time ago, but I didn’t have the guts, so you were cool for doing so instructor!

”Police officers, how could you possibly handle things this way?”

After sighing, Xie Ruijiang said, ”Don’t I know the character of my instructor? It must be that when he was having a meal on the boat, he saw the scoundrels molesting the waitress, so he fought for justice. How dare you bring him here without checking for the truth?”

”Poof... ” Xie Xiaoya who was busy recording, spat out the mouthful of tea before she was could swallow it down.

”And you!” he said as he knocked her head. ”You knew that he was my instructor, why didn’t you pour him a cup of tea? Go and make some tea now.”

”Okay” Rubbing her head, Xie Xiaoya got up from her seat reluctantly and walked towards the water dispenser.

Not to mention her bad impression of Chen Fan, the ’touching story’ of them beating up people because their model had been snatched made Xie Xiaoya despise them from the bottom of her heart.

”Ahem…Ahem…” Xie Ruijiang flipped through the files and said to Wang Bing, ”Instructor, leave this matter to me. According to your skills, I’m sure you would have controlled yourself when beating them up. I’m sure that the gang won’t suffer major injuries. I’ll go over to the hospital later and ask them to settle it themselves.”

Xie Ruijiang really did as he said. After chatting with Wang Bing for a while, he said to Xie Xiaoya, ”Treat my instructor nicely!” and left. When he returned to the police station more than an hour later, he already had a civil mediation report in his hands.

Xie Ruijiang pointed at the results of the report and said, ”Instructor, these kids were involved in illegal road racing and their records weren’t clean anyway. They rejected the medical bills immediately even when I hadn’t talked with them properly.”

”Brother, how can you do that? I’ll tell father this evening that you have abused your power and made matters personal.” Xie Xiaoya twitched her small mouth grudgingly.

”Go… go, he is in the office, you can go and complain to him now.”

”I even took the civil mediation report from his office just now.” Xie Ruijiang said in an annoying manner .

”... You...” Xie Xiaoya was speechless.

”By the way, sister, tell father that I won’t be home for dinner tonight.” Xie Ruijiang gave a wave of his hand, rolled up his sleeves and sat next to Wang Bing. ”Instructor, why don’t we... ”

”Your driver’s comrade is definitely somebody who is highly ranked!” Zhang Xueyang lowered down his voice and said. ”The general director’s surname is also Xie, so I guess that they are related.”

”Who cares what his surname is. All that matters is that I can go back as soon as possible. I feel very uneasy sitting here for such a long time.

After the four of them signed the report, Xie Ruijiang grabbed Wang Bing’s arm and insisted that he wanted to treat him to a meal.

”Boss, why don’t I send you back first?” Wang Bing asked Chen Fan’s opinion.

”It’s okay, I’m going back by cab! If you drank too much, don’t drive until you sober up the next morning.”

When Wang Bing and Xie Ruijiang walked away together, Zhang Xueyang came up and said, ”Brother Chen, come, I’ll send you back in my car.”

”Okay!” Chen Fan did not reject. He followed Zhang Xueyang to his Bentley.

”Brother, wait a minute!” Chen Fan had just walked for a few steps before he was chased by a middle-aged man from behind. The man was radiant and was a little bald. His hair was slicked back due to a large amount of hair gel, and he wore a black suit. He looked like a typical successful businessman .

”What’s the matter?”

Chen Fan turned his head and realized that he recognized the man. This man was at the police station just now, and he was sitting next to Chen Fan. It seemed like he was called by the police for a case investigation.

”Haha, let me introduce myself, I am Chen Shuguang!” He handed out his name card to Chen Fan and said, ”When I was doing a police record just now, I heard that you own a company specializing in maritime trade?”
