”No... No one...” Chen Fan turned around and saw that the person speaking was a girl wearing a white sun hat under which flowed long, black, silky hair. Her hair was so long that it almost reached her pretty round hips which were fitted with tight jeans. Under her bangs were a pair of big eyes.

”Oh!” After saying so, she sat down on the beach chair and picked up the fishing rod. She adjusted the fish bait and then skillfully threw it into the water.

Maybe the beautiful girl felt that the sunhat was in the way as she took it off, revealing her white, delicate face that deeply caught Chen Fan’s attention.

The girl was probably at the age of 18 or 19, and she still had a childish look.

Chen Fan did not expect to have had a beautiful girl accompany him while fishing, so he couldn’t help but feel secretly happy. If it were not for the three men leaving at the right time, he wouldn’t have had this chance. ”Ahem…Ahem.” Chen Fan adjusted his original slouching position so that he could leave a good impression on the pretty girl.

Sitting straight, Chen Fan scrutinized the bait as he wanted to catch a big fish quickly so that he could show off in front of the pretty lady. Men always take extra care of their reputation especially when there is a gorgeous looking lady nearby.

Unfortunately, God was not on Chen Fan’s side.

A few minutes after the girl dropped the hook, a snapper weighing about four catty was caught.

Such good luck! Chen Fan spat out in embarrassment.

Chen Fan remembered that a professional fisher once said that a newbie should never let a hook stay in the water for more than three minutes.

Although this was what the experienced fishers say, it was a suitable enough method for the large majority of novice fishers. Upon seeing that he could not catch anything, Chen Fan pulled out the pole once in a while to see what was going on and why any fishes hadn’t been caught after so long.

”You won’t be able to catch any fish like that!” The girl next to him could not help but comment, ”Fishing is about skill and patience, so without enough patience and perseverance, it is impossible to catch a fish.” The girl’s voice was melodious like the wind hitting a chime.

Upon hearing this, Chen Fan felt quite embarrassed because he was being lectured by a girl who was younger than him.

”Young lady, I am a senior member of the Zhongyun Fishing Association.” Chen Fan let out a light laugh. ” The method that I’m using to check on the fish bait is rather rare, but by constantly raising and lowering it, it is very easy to catch big fishes as long as I follow this pattern. I managed to catch a Thresher shark that was over two meters long by using this method at Berau Bay last year.”

”Hahaha...” The beautiful lady held her stomach with her left hand and laughed while looking at Chen Fan, and she was speechless for a long time due to her inability to stop laughing.

”It’s okay if you don’t believe me.” Chen Fan’s face was hot and flushed. Although that was obviously a lie, she didn’t need to respond so dramatically.

”Believe… I believe you…” Although the pretty lady said that she believed him, she had a ’you are boasting’ expression on her face.

As soon as she finished her sentence, her fishing rod bent suddenly. ”Ah...” Letting out a small cry, she pulled on the line wheel of the fishing rod quickly and tugged out a yellow fish from the sea that easily weighed a few pounds.

”Huh...” the pretty lady wiped her nose in a sluggish way. ”If you can, catch a shark and prove your skills!”

”No, I know what I’m doing. I don’t need to prove it by catching a shark for you.” Chen Fan tried to act cool.

After laughing her heart out, the beauty sucked in a deep breath and said in a serious manner, ”You were actually checking on the fishing rod too often. Sensing a slight movement in the bait doesn’t necessarily mean that a fish bit the hook because the fish may only be testing it. You will need to wait for a second or two for the fish to swallow the fish bait into its stomach before pulling out the rod.”

”It never occurred to me that somebody like me who has a decade of experience in fishing who once won the fishing association gold prize and whose fishing experiences were published in the journal would be made fun of by a little girl.” Chen Fan’s face was full of shock and indignation. ”It is indeed deplorable.”

The pretty lady rested her hands on her chin, looked at Chen Fan and said, ”The way you boast is so funny... ”

”I can’t continue this conversation with you anymore!” Chen Fan simply pretended that he was thinking deeply, turned his head and pretended to ignore her.

The beauty’s eyes widened, ”If you catch a shark I’ll believe you.”

”Whether I can catch a shark or not, it’s my business. Why should I prove it to you for no reason?” Chen Fan was like a cunning wolf who was luring the pretty lady into his trap.

The pretty lady blinked and said, ”This boat is my family’s property. If you can catch a shark, I’ll make you a bowl of shark soup at noon.”

”Shark soup? Chen Fan restrained his inner excitement, tilted his head sideways and asked, ”What if I can catch a shark that is any breed of your choice?”

”Haha... ”The pretty lady laughed like a lark. ”What do you want in return?”

”Well, you pick a shark breed and if I can catch it, you will sing me a song!” Chen Fan said as he formed his plan.

”Deal, if that’s the case, catch a Thresher shark!”

”This is too easy, besides catching the shark breed that you mentioned, I can even catch it according to the size that you want. Do you still dare to bet with me?”

”Wait for me while I go and get a good fishing rod!” The little girl put down her fishing rod and ran to the cabin.

”My God, I’m committing sins... ”Chen Fan sighed deeply.

After a while, the pretty lady took out a one-meter-long fishing rod from the cabin that had a big gear on it.

”Here, this rod can withstand 100 kilograms of tension with a fishing string that is one kilometer long in length with an endurance of 100 kilograms.”

Having a tension of 100 kilograms doesn’t mean that you can only catch 100 kilograms of fish. If you let out a good line and have a lot of stamina, it is possible for you to pull up five or six hundred catty of sharks. (Then pull the fishes to the side of the boat and kill them with the harpoon!)

”Well, how heavy do you want the Thresher shark to be?” Chen Fan took the rod and spoke confidently like a professional shark fisher.

The pretty little girl who stood on the left side of Chen Fan said, ”I don’t want to make it hard for you, so you just catch a shark that weighs around 200 catty.”

”What will be betting on?”

”I... I’ll sing an extra song?” The pretty lady was not certain about Chen Fan’s skills, so she dare not go for the big bet in order to avoid herself from being in a pinch situation later.

”No problem, but I’ll be the one who chooses the song!”

”Wait, what if you don’t catch it?” It suddenly struck the pretty lady that if he does not promise anything, she would definitely be on the losing side!

”I’ll do whatever you say,” Chen Fan said as he sat on the couch calmly.

”If that’s the case...” the pretty lady tilted her head and thought for a moment. Suddenly, her mouth curved beautifully in a cunning way. ”If you can’t catch one before lunch at noon, you will have to take off your clothes and run three laps around the deck!”
