Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

196: Project ProposalAfter finishing the Camera cards, Liu Mengyan returned with a stack of cardss.

Xu Bai also gave her a task: to deliver most of the cardss to Thunderbolt Company.

Li Lan and Li Yue were very happy to receive the cardss and letter she brought; the company would be able to launch new products and develop faster.

Currently, Thunderbolt Company is the most promising emerging company in the Tianlong Republic… Wu Zijin: “Ah ah ah ah ah ah! I missed being a person in the second historical photo.”

Liu Mengyan couldn’t quite understand Wu Zijin’s thought process.

“Here, you can take pictures yourself. I specifically brought one Camera cards for you all too.”

“How can that be the same! Team Leader Bai might not let the first photo circulate, but the second photo is something so many people have. I think it will definitely be used as a textbook in the future.”

Wu Zijin was still in a state of sadness.

“You’re overthinking it a bit. By then, we’ll all be dead, so why worry about these things?

So, do you want this cards? If not, I’ll take it back.”

Liu Mengyan made to take back the Camera cards in her hand.

Wu Zijin immediately snatched the cards.

How could he not want it?

In fact, most Card Makers have a collecting habit and will collect all sorts of cardss.

You might not use it, but you can’t not have it.

Meanwhile, Liu Mengyun, the other person in the research institute, had already taken out a camera and snapped a selfie… On the other side, the training camp had returned to peace.

Xu Bai’s current focus is on six students: Fang Mu, Zhao Zixuan, Li Baoyu, Ji Jingping, Gao Wenhan, and Xie Yongchao.

These few are currently the best learners in his class, so he pays extra attention to them.

Fang Mu is now thinking about researching cars; there’s no way around it, trains are still too big and he can’t handle them yet, so he’ll start with a smaller vehicle.

Ji Jingping has also settled for a secondary option, planning to first create cardss for information storage, establish a database, and then achieve data transmission, as mobile phones are still too difficult.

Gao Wenhan and Xie Yongchao have been optimizing their hydraulic lifts.

Only Zhao Zixuan and Li Baoyu currently have no inspiration and are temporarily assisting Fang Mu.

It seems everyone is busy with their own things.

However.

“Teacher Bai, have the students in your class decided on the cardss for the competition? There isn’t much time left.”

Li Xuangan, Teacher Li suddenly asked Xu Bai about the competition, making Xu Bai a bit awkward.

He mentally calculated the remaining time and felt a sense of urgency.

So, Xu Bai decided to go talk to the students.

He almost forgot that the purpose of the training camp was to participate in the competition.

By the way, I wonder what the classes of the other teachers are like. Xu Bai thought for a moment and decided to ask Qian Yonglu, whom he was familiar with, to hear his thoughts.

Qian Yonglu: “…”

Seeing the other person’s confused look, he knew that the other person also lacked experience, so the two went to find Xia Tian.

Xia Tian: “…”

The three then went to find Bai Shan.

Bai Shan: “…”

The four looked at each other; they were all first-time teachers for a competition and had no experience whatsoever.

It seemed that Xu Bai had a bit more experience than them, as he had at least taught Fang Mu and participated in a competition.

But, truthfully, he was the big shot who led them to dominate the entire field back then. Now, how should they guide the students to do it themselves?

So, the four held a small meeting together to brainstorm… Bai Shan: “Do you have any good ideas? I only thought of letting them propose what they want to do, and then letting them do it, with us assisting from the side.”

“What if some students don’t have a cards they want to make?

And what if some students want to make cardss that are too fantastical?”

Xia Tian raised questions.

Many students who chose her and Qian Yonglu’s courses currently had no cardss they wanted to make.

And many students who chose Bai Shan and Bai Xiaobai’s courses wanted to make cardss that were too fantastical.

This was actually a common problem for most students: some students were slacking and didn’t want to do anything, while others would say, “I want to do this, I want to do that,” but when actually told to do it, they would say they couldn’t.

At this point, Xu Bai suddenly thought of the time when he was choosing topics for his university graduation thesis.

That time was very similar to now.

So, could he refer to the university thesis topic selection to guide the students in choosing the cards topics they wanted to make?

Students could choose their own thesis topics and then submit an opening report and feasibility plan to the teacher.

If the topic was approved, the student could proceed. If not, they would have to choose from the topics provided by the teacher.

This was equivalent to giving the students two paths to take, and it could also prevent students from going down a dead end… The three principles for topic selection that the teacher mentioned at the time left a deep impression on him.

Actually, most teachers wouldn’t tell students so much, but his teacher only told him so much after his thesis was rejected multiple times.

The first point was to choose something you are interested in.

The second point was to be feasible. For example, it’s relatively simple for a university student to conduct a student questionnaire, but asking you to survey the opinions of leaders from various countries is wishful thinking.

The third point was to have research value, either theoretical or applied.

So, in this world, these three points can also be considered, but they need to be adapted.

First, they can choose what they are interested in; second, the cards they want to make cannot be something they are currently unable to make—this point might require the teacher’s oversight; third, the cards made can be read by a cards reader and has practical value.

If these three points are met, then they can make cardss to participate in the competition.

After Xu Bai thought it through, he looked up and stated his idea.

“We can have the students in each group submit an opening report. This report is about the competition cards, asking them to choose a team research direction, explain their reasons for choosing it, and outline the difficulties they will need to overcome later.

Through the report, we can confirm whether the cards-making direction chosen by each group of students is feasible and whether it can be completed before the competition.

If not, we can have them research it later and then have these students choose from the topics we set for them to research. What do you all think?”

Bai Shan was the first to nod in agreement: “Your idea is very comprehensive; it allows students with ideas to create cardss they are interested in, and also provides direction for other students to choose from.”

Xia Tian pondered Xu Bai’s words for a moment and offered a few suggestions.

“I also think we can proceed with your plan, but we need to be a bit quicker with the timing.

I think three days for them to set their topics, and then two days for them to refine their reports, as time is quite tight. Do you think this works?”

“Yes.”
