Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

188: Ji Jingping’s choiceJi Jingping recently had a problem, and this problem had nothing to do with the big team issue that had been making headlines.

Because he had always been a one-man team, and he participated in competitions alone.

So he could decide for himself which teacher’s elective course to choose.

Although he could decide on his own, he had a very bold decision in his heart.

He just didn’t know if the teachers would agree... Today was the 5th day, and there were two more days to finalize the afternoon elective courses. Time was pressing, he needed to act.

That day, he attended Teacher Bai Xiaobai’s class again. Time flew by, and the class ended quickly.

Although the students wanted to listen to Teacher Bai’s lecture a bit longer, they also knew Teacher Bai’s habit: after class, he didn’t want to stay in the classroom for a minute, claiming he needed to accompany his younger brother for a meal.

The students had no choice but to reluctantly leave the classroom.

However, Ji Jingping walked against the flow of people towards Xu Bai.

The students paused, wanting to eavesdrop.

”Teacher Bai, can I take a few minutes of your time to talk with you?”

”You may.”

Xu Bai was wondering if he wanted to talk about choosing his course.

After all, he still saw him frequently recently, but he didn’t come to his class every day, which made him a little unsure.

While thinking, he led him to a deserted place.

After the two walked away, the students in the classroom quickly dispersed. They didn’t dare to follow behind the two to eavesdrop... ”Alright, what do you want to tell me?”

”Teacher Bai, the future you spoke of makes me yearn for it. I want to choose your course for my afternoon elective.”

YES!

A little person was spinning in circles in Xu Bai’s heart.

Sure enough, the bait he cast had caught a fish.

It was worth all the ’pie-in-the-sky’ he had been giving students after class recently.

”But.”

A ’but’ made Xu Bai’s heart jump again. No way, what was there to ’but’ about now?

Xu Bai quickly asked about his thoughts.

”Do you have any other ideas?”

”Teacher Bai, I’ll tell you directly, but I also want to learn from Teacher Bai Shan.”

Xu Bai heard his words and did not get angry and refuse directly. Instead, he thought about his reasons for this.

”I see you’re not someone who aims too high without a solid foundation. Do you have any ideas for the cards you want to make for the competition, regarding why you want to learn from two teachers? What kind of cards do you want to make?”

Ji Jingping lowered his head in thought for a moment, perhaps weighing things in his mind.

”Teacher, the cards I want to make can both communicate remotely and store information.

Initially, I wanted to choose Teacher Bai Shan’s elective course because his research on information is very comprehensive. Our daily cards readers can retrieve cards information. At that time, I was thinking, could the information on one cards reader be sent to another person’s cards reader? So I thought the possibility of achieving this was greater.

However, after listening to your classes these past few days, I feel that this product could use electrical energy, and also what you mentioned a few days ago about telephones, which is to achieve long-distance voice communication.

I think these two aspects can also be combined. That is, to make a product that can not only transmit handwritten information but also allow mutual voice communication.”

Mobile phone?!

No, no.

What he said might be a telegraph.

The principle of a telegraph seems to be to use the on-off of current to transmit encoded information, while a cards reader seems to be able to display information directly and search, without needing encoding.

Or is it a telephone?

The principle of a telephone seems to be to convert sound signals into electrical signals for transmission, and then at the receiving end, convert the electrical signals back into sound signals, thereby achieving real-time long-distance voice communication.

If it can both make calls and send messages.

No matter how he thought about it, it felt like he was going to make a mobile phone.

Could he really just make a mobile phone directly?

Xu Bai had a big question mark in his heart.

This was slightly beyond his cognitive range. He had always thought that development would proceed step by step, but he didn’t expect it could develop by leaps and bounds.

And the prerequisite for leapfrog development was that he could make this cards product.

Although Xu Bai did not object to his idea, could he really do it alone?

If he really did it alone, Xu Bai felt a little useless!

Could the other party also be a transmigrator with a cheat code?

As for the huge profits that could be generated by making a mobile phone, Xu Bai actually no longer cared about them. After all, just with electrical energy, he could truly eat for a lifetime.

Actually, if he thought about it simply, if the other party could really make a mobile phone, it could also greatly improve his quality of life... ”Teacher Bai, Teacher Bai, Teacher Bai, do you disagree? If you disagree, then I’ll give up.”

Although Ji Jingping found his idea very interesting, he initially only regarded it as his future experimental project.

He didn’t expect that this training camp would allow him to meet two Card Makers related to his project so quickly.

So he thought about fighting for himself, wanting to choose both Card Makers’ courses, wanting to learn from these two Card Makers.

However, if it didn’t work out, he could take one Card Maker’s course first, and then take the other Card Maker’s course if he had the chance later.

Although there might not be such an opportunity, as long as he worked hard on cards research, the chances of encountering powerful Card Makers would be greater, and eventually, one day he would be able to make the cards he wanted...

Xu Bai’s thoughts were pulled back by his words.

”Yes, I agree to you choosing my elective course while also choosing other people’s elective courses.

However, I also have a requirement. I know you are very smart, but if you scatter your focus, I’m not sure if you can learn useful knowledge. If your grades are not in the top three of my class, I will revoke your eligibility to take this course.”

Ji Jingping was very happy to hear Xu Bai agree, but this happiness did not make him lose his rationality. He cautiously asked.

”Excuse me, for the top three in the class, is it individual or team?”

”Elective courses are in the form of teams, so of course it’s the top three teams in the class. Your team only has you, so you need to beat several people from other teams by yourself.

But you can rest assured, I won’t calculate the total score, but will take the average score.”

Hearing Teacher Bai’s explanation, Ji Jingping nodded.

”By the way, I don’t know if the other Teacher Bai will agree to you taking two courses. You need to get his permission; I won’t speak to him for you.”

Ji Jingping’s expression was normal. After all, this was his own business, and it was better to ask in person.
