Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

176: Discuss class divisionXu Bai sat obediently in his seat, holding Xu Le.

He felt like he had greeted more strangers today than he had seen in his entire life.

There were only a few days left until October, and the Tianlong Republic had invited several experienced teachers for this training session.

Today, they all gathered to discuss the class assignments and curriculum for the training camp students.

At this moment, Xu Bai seemed to recall that this was a competition-oriented training, and he wondered if the students would need to take exams.

Xu Bai felt it was like a training camp set up to prepare for the college entrance exam.

Xu Bai could only say that it was a good thing he had already graduated; he didn’t need to study or take exams anymore.

Because Xu Bai was quite socially anxious, he only exchanged greetings with others and didn’t continue the conversation. The others were also tactful enough not to disturb him.

After a while, most people had arrived.

The protagonist of the day, the leader in charge of this training session, entered.

Mr. Qi Hao, who is specifically responsible for education, was in charge of this training camp.

Xu Bai had already met three sirs in the past few months.

Being able to meet these sirs also signified that his status was continuously rising... “Good morning, everyone. The reason I called you here today is to discuss how to teach these children and the arrangement of their classes. What are your thoughts on this? Feel free to speak your minds.

Children are our future hope. We hope that this training will set a foundation for the future. If there are any important competitions later, we can give them training beforehand to improve their overall abilities.”

Mr. Qi Hao finished his opening remarks, sat down, and handed the stage over to the teachers present.

Everyone was seated in a circle, making it easy to see each other’s expressions and movements, and everyone’s words could be clearly heard by others.

At this moment, a middle-aged man in a floral shirt opposite stood up.

It took a lot of courage to still dress so flamboyantly and do as he pleased in this place.

Xu Bai admired this. Xu Bai looked at the name tag opposite him. This person was Xu Zixin. Oh, he was also from the Xu family, just like him.

In fact, Xu Bai didn’t know that others found his act of bringing his child here to be very bold as well.

One could only say that one person took fifty steps and the other took a hundred.

“Then I’ll start with a humble opinion. My idea is that because the educational resources of students from different regions vary, their foundations and academic performance might differ significantly. I think it’s better to divide them into different classes based on their scores from the first exam. This way, teachers can instruct them according to their progress.

Otherwise, some students will have excellent grades and know more, and it would be completely meaningless for us to teach them things they already know again.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a short-haired woman stood up and refuted his words.

The name tag in front of this woman read ‘Ye Wenxiu’.

“I believe that students from regions with backward educational resources have greater potential. You cannot assume they will always be behind just because they are temporarily behind.

If classes are directly divided based on the first exam, and then there are ’good classes’ and ’bad classes’ in the training camp, wouldn’t that create animosity among them!

At the same time, this is equivalent to directly labeling them negatively, and it would be bad if they lost the motivation to study because of this.”

Hearing the refutation, the man in the floral shirt did not get angry but thought again.

“Then what do you think about having students switch classes every 5 days based on exam rankings? We will definitely be taking exams frequently, not just once.

I will not change my stance on dividing classes by performance. The main thing is still to provide corresponding guidance based on the different situations of the students. Otherwise, some students will fall behind, won’t understand what the teacher is saying, and won’t keep up with the learning process, making it impossible for them to improve.

Isn’t the purpose of our training to help students improve?”

“Indeed, their progress is different, and it is indeed necessary to divide classes for guidance, otherwise it would be bad for both sides. On this point, I agree with your view.

Initially, students will have some differences, but these differences will continuously shrink, and ultimately, what truly affects performance is each person’s intelligence and effort.

Nothing is set in stone, so I don’t agree with dividing classes by performance at the beginning. We can initially mix them up, and then after two weeks of learning, divide them by performance.

Although both involve dividing classes, I think it’s different.”

Xu Zixin: “Mm-hmm, your idea sounds better; it can balance both.”

Seeing that the two were about to reach an agreement, a young man who appeared younger than them stood up to speak.

“Everyone, don’t forget, this ’Innovation Cup’ competition is a team competition. If we separate them, the team’s cohesion will decrease.

Furthermore, in this month, we not only need to improve their overall abilities but also guide them in creating cardss for the competition.

That is to say, it’s best for the teams participating in the competition to stay together so that team members can communicate and collaborate easily to create the cardss for the competition.”

This young man was named Wei Changyu. He had a baby face and looked younger than everyone present; his exact age was unknown.

Xu Zixin: “For teams, we can set up a special team class. They can communicate with each other then.”

Ye Wenxiu: “In that case, our influence on their competition will diminish. They are participating in the training camp to win the competition, right? We cannot teach them as we would our former students.”

“Helping them win the competition is a short-term goal; the long-term goal is to improve their cards-making abilities.

I think it’s still better to mix up the classes, and then students who progress faster can study independently and don’t necessarily need a teacher’s guidance.”

The person speaking at this time was an old sir who appeared to be over fifty, named Li Xuande.

Perhaps in his view, temporary performance was not important; he was more concerned with students acquiring knowledge.

“Mr. Li, while what you said is not wrong, the purpose of establishing our training camp is for students to achieve good results in the ’Innovation Cup’ competition.

I think it’s still necessary to give students some pressure; pressure creates motivation.

Furthermore, these students are the most outstanding group of students from all elementary academies, serving as role models for other students. If they can be defeated by this amount of pressure, then how can they serve as role models?”

The person speaking this time was Ai Xunyan, a middle-aged woman. Xu Bai felt she was very similar to his former Homeroom Teacher, appearing very strict.
