Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

165: Historical eventsSeeing that Xu Bai and the Government had reached an agreement, Yin Jia was a little conflicted.

In her opinion, the Card Maker Guild could no longer offer much help to Xu Bai, so she wasn’t sure if Xu Bai would still cooperate with the Card Maker Guild.

However, in her heart, she still hoped to cooperate, but she didn’t want to make Xu Bai feel awkward.

Yin Jia was very conflicted and worried about this.

Lu Hong, on the other hand, wasn’t worried. He believed that Xu Bai calling them all together definitely meant he intended to cooperate; otherwise, why would he call them?

However, he knew that currently, in Xu Bai’s eyes, the Card Maker Guild was a database, and it could also act as a check against the Tianlong Republic Government.

This role wasn’t overly significant, nor was it insignificant; it depended on who it was for.

For ordinary Card Makers, the support might not be very strong, but for Xu Bai, the Card Maker Guild would definitely provide its utmost support.

After all, the benefits Xu Bai brought were already enough for them to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly.

However, even though the Card Maker Guild still had a role for Xu Bai, they couldn’t rest easy.

If Xu Bai’s trust in the Government gradually increased with their cooperation, once he trusted the Government enough, the Guild’s role as a check would become largely useless.

Therefore, the Guild also needed to increase its leverage to avoid being marginalized in future collaborations.

So Lu Hong proactively offered help.

”Mr. Xu, we know that material cardss seem to be very useful for your research. We can purchase the authorization for material cardss from other Card Makers in the name of the Card Maker Guild.

If you see materials that are useful for your research, you can directly tell us, and we are willing to cooperate with you using the authorization of material cardss.”

Xu Bai was a little surprised to hear this, not expecting the Guild to do such a thing.

If he could purchase authorization in the name of the Guild, he would, of course, be very happy.

After all, the Card Maker Guild had contact information for most high-level Card Makers, and it would be easier to purchase cards authorizations.

At the same time, on one hand, he would learn about more material cardss and their uses, and on the other hand, he could prevent others from price gouging, and also prevent others from knowing the subsequent plans and research projects of the research institute.

”Good, this will be even more helpful for our future research.”

Everyone happily discussed their cooperation.

Later history books wrote:

The invention and popularization of the generator were the core symbols of humanity’s transition from the ”Steam Age” to the ”Electric Age.”

Its impact on human society spanned energy utilization, industrial production, scientific and technological progress, lifestyles, and even the global development landscape, truly serving as the ”key engine” driving the formation of modern civilization.

After this transformation, humanity’s energy utilization shifted from ”passive reliance” to ”active creation.”

This transformation was also later called the ”Fan Revolution” by people, after all, large wind generators really do look like fans... After the meeting, the Government immediately planned the construction of the generators.

After all, providing electricity to the entire country was a major decision and a very large project that couldn’t be accomplished quickly.

So Mr. Number Five made a detailed plan for the nationwide power supply initiative.

As he wrote the plan, he thought, it’s a good thing Mr. Number Four isn’t here; if he were, he’d probably be bored to death, since that guy only researches military matters.

But then he thought, they wouldn’t trust that guy to be here anyway.

Well, they were just destined to work hard, dedicating their entire lives to the Tianlong Republic.

As long as the Tianlong Republic got better, they would be fine.

For the plan, Mr. Number Five did not make an overly long-term plan, temporarily only making a ’one-year plan’.

After all, according to Xu Bai, other forms of generator cardss would be researched later, and there would also be other machine cardss that use electrical energy. The future had a lot of uncertainty, so it was best to focus on the present.

Even though it was only a one-year plan, he still had to consider all aspects of the problem, and fortunately, he had experience with this.

After the plan was completed, it would be reviewed and revised, and then it would be implemented.

First, professionals needed to forecast electricity demand. Although this was the beginning and there was no past data on electricity demand, this did not stump them. They converted and statistically analyzed people’s past energy consumption data.

At the same time, these professionals also referenced the suggestions of Bai Xiaobai, the father of electricity, to make predictions about people’s future electricity demand.

Secondly, a reasonable arrangement for electricity supply needed to be made.

In the Tianlong Republic, the distribution of humans was not uniform. Some areas had more concentrated populations and were more prosperous, thus having a greater demand for electricity.

There were also places, like nomadic tribes, where people lived scattered and individual families did not stay in one fixed location. Therefore, it was not suitable to install power lines, but the wind power in those areas was very strong, so small wind generators could be arranged for them, which could be considered a different kind of self-sufficiency.

Therefore, the arrangement of electricity supply needed to consider the existing supply capacity of wind generators, how many wind power plants would be built later, and the operational plans of the wind power plants.

Then, there was also a need to survey people’s demand for electricity. Currently, there are relatively few products that use electricity, and some people might not want to have power lines installed in their homes. So, personnel needed to distribute forms, allowing each household to register whether they needed power lines, and then make reasonable power supply arrangements based on the statistics.

Afterward, the arrangement for power dispatch and transmission also needed to be considered. After all, not all places could build wind generators, and the future forms of generators had not been fully determined, nor had generator cardss been produced yet. So, some areas might temporarily need to draw electricity from elsewhere. Drawing electricity would require route planning, avoiding areas with high concentrations of Strange Beast.

Finally, risk management also needed to be done, after all, it’s better to be safe than sorry.

They needed to consider what would happen if a natural disaster occurred, which might affect these power facilities. Since large wind generators, once read out from a cards, cannot be retrieved, preparations for natural disasters were necessary.

There was also the danger of Strange Beast. Although most of the time most Strange Beast would gather in the five major Strange Beast zones, some bolder Strange Beast would still come out to roam. Therefore, personnel needed to be assigned to guard these power stations, and this aspect required communication with the military.

From these step-by-step plans, one could see how capable Mr. Number Five was.

It had been several days since these plans were completed, and preliminary personnel had already constructed some wind generators. It was time to inform everyone about this matter.
