Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

174: Be a teacher?Because from his understanding of Xu Bai, Xu Bai was a person who clearly distinguished between gratitude and grudges. He wouldn’t let go of those who tried to harm him, but he would ignore everyone else.

”Qian Yonglu is the creator of the Coal Card. He is actually a somewhat reclusive person who is passionate about research.

He wants to see you, and I think it’s to encourage you. I believe you can meet with him and tell him your thoughts about the Liu Family, and also mention that you want to release Liu Mengyan. He will agree to your request.

Once the Qian Family and you both agree, this matter will be easy to handle.”

Is that so? Would the other party agree to his request?

Although Xu Bai still had questions, he nodded nonetheless.

Wu Zijin, listening to their conversation from the side, also understood why Yin Su was there.

”I also suggest that Team Leader Bai meet with the other party. If possible, you could resolve some of the grudges with other members of the Qian Family. He still holds significant sway within the Qian Family.

From what I understand, Card Maker Qian was unaware of this matter.”

”Okay, then let’s meet.”

The two successfully persuaded Xu Bai... September 25th.

Light rain.

The typhoon had just passed, and the wind force and rain gradually weakened.

Bai Xiaobai’s research institute.

Xu Bai and Qian Yonglu sat facing each other.

”Mr. Qian, may I ask what you wish to discuss with me?”

Qian Yonglu was dressed in a very formal suit, looking at the young man before him with an ordinary gaze, not showing any pity because the other party had consumed a Mental Corrosion Potion and was considered a cripple.

Because he knew that those who had consumed a Mental Corrosion Potion needed pity the least, and he wasn’t here to pity the other party.

”What I’m about to say might seem like I’m speaking from a position of ease, but I still feel the need to tell you.”

”Please speak.”

Xu Bai looked at his serious expression and mentally prepared himself.

”I want to say that as a Card Maker, while being able to make cards is important, it’s not the most important thing. For an excellent Card Maker, the most important thing is their own thoughts.

In my opinion, you are a very, very excellent Card Maker. Even if you can’t easily make cards now, it doesn’t negate the fact that you are an excellent Card Maker.”

Xu Bai smiled. ”Thank you for your affirmation. I also believe I am an excellent Card Maker.”

”I don’t know what your future plans are, but I have a suggestion: you could mentor some students, teaching them your card-making ideas and creative thinking. Let them help you make cards.”

”Are you suggesting I become a teacher?”

Xu Bai was not particularly moved by this suggestion.

Xu Bai admitted to himself that he couldn’t be a good teacher. If he taught a smart student who could grasp things quickly, he would be very happy.

But if he had to teach a slower student, he didn’t have that kind of patience.

So he felt he wasn’t a good teacher and couldn’t be one.

”Have you heard of the ’Innovation Cup’ competition?”

The Innovation Cup?

Xu Bai vaguely felt as if he had heard of this competition before.

Whose mouth would it have come from?

Ah, it seemed to have come from Liao Qianxin, the head of Morning Star Elementary Academy.

At that time, they had just finished the Card Innovation Competition, and he mentioned that the Innovation Cup was a global innovation competition for elementary academies, jointly organized by various countries.

However, this was only a competition for elementary academies, and he didn’t know why Qian Yonglu would bring it up.

”Are you referring to the global innovation competition for elementary academies, jointly organized by various countries?”

”That’s right. The Government still values this competition quite a bit. They plan to gather eligible students for intensive training next month.

I’ve also been invited to be a mentor for the students in this training. I don’t know which other Card Makers have been invited, but I suggest you mention it to the Government.

On one hand, you can identify promising talents to mentor, and on the other hand, you can also relax.”

”I have a question. This isn’t a competition for Higher Academy students, so why does the Tianlong Republic place so much importance on it?”

”There are three main reasons: first, this is the first time various countries have jointly organized a Card Maker competition; second, elementary academy students are just learning to make cards, and their thinking hasn’t solidified yet; third, talented Higher Academy students have already entered research institutes to begin their research and don’t have time to participate in competitions.”

Xu Bai nodded, agreeing with his reasons.

In fact, he also understood that Qian Yonglu was telling him all this to encourage him not to lose heart in life, to let him know how important the ideas in his mind were, and to tell him that besides card-making, there was another path he could take: teaching students.

Through these conversations, Xu Bai also knew that the other party held no ill will towards him.

Of course, Xu Bai couldn’t just tell the other party the truth of the matter because of their good intentions. At most, he planned to find partners in the future and wouldn’t exclude the Qian Family.

”Okay, I’ll mention it to the Government later.”

Xu Bai accepted the other party’s suggestion, but he didn’t forget the main purpose of agreeing to meet.

”Mr. Qian, what are your thoughts on the Liu Family? Also, Liu Mengyan, she is a researcher in my institute.”

Qian Yonglu was a bit surprised to hear Xu Bai mention the Liu Family.

He had thought Xu Bai would directly suppress the Liu Family, after all, the Liu Family was the ’knife’ that had harmed him.

Both the person who harmed him and the ’knife’ that harmed him were, in fact, guilty.

”Are you asking this because you intend to forgive the Liu Family?”

”No, I just don’t like the current head of the Liu Family, and also, I want the Government to release Liu Mengyan.”

”You mean you only blame the head of the Liu Family for this matter, and not Liu Mengyan, right?”

”Yes, she was only coerced by her family. I’m telling you this, I just hope the Qian Family won’t retaliate against her later.”

”Okay, no problem. The Qian Family will consider this matter in the past and will not retaliate against her. We will also help you pressure the Liu Family to change their family head, let’s change it to Liu Mengyan’s father, Liu Cong.”

Xu Bai nodded. ”That works.”

Hearing Xu Bai agree, Qian Yonglu’s eyes flickered.

In his opinion, there might be something between Xu Bai and Liu Mengyan, but why did Liu Mengyan pour the Mental Corrosion Potion into Xu Bai’s cup?

Never mind, he wouldn’t think about it. He couldn’t understand young people.

Since Xu Bai wanted to forgive the other party, he would give Xu Bai face.

After their conversation, the two said goodbye, awaiting their meeting at the training next month.

Xu Bai felt the look Qian Yonglu gave him just before leaving was a bit strange?

Xu Bai recalled their conversation, and there was nothing strange about it.

He shook his head, intending to write a letter to Yin Su, telling him that the matter was settled.
