Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

126: Pass the assessmentLu Hong also nodded in agreement with Wu Zijin.

Well, perhaps a new identity is like a pen name; you can have a bunch of them, using different identities for different people.

Xu Bai nodded, accepting their explanation.

He had created over a dozen new identities; he wouldn’t get them mixed up, would he?

Xu Bai was quite speechless, so he decided to just create one for himself for now.

He would just call himself “Bai Xiaobai”.

Then, Xu Bai filled in the rest of the form, item by item.

He handed it to the old man across from him… “Alright, the assessment content is very simple: create a Three-Star cards that you designed yourself.”

Lu Hong said.

Yes, that’s right, he was still the assessor for Xu Bai.

It wasn’t because the Card Maker Guild branch had no one else; it was just that the Guild stipulated that only two people were needed for the initial reception, and Wu Zijin was not qualified to assess a Three-Star Card Maker, so only Lu Hong could do it.

Later, Xu Bai learned that it was because there were fewer newly joined Card Makers, and the work was very relaxed, so the manager of the Guild branch personally conducted the assessment.

This way, he could even receive two salaries.

Xu Bai sat at the table, took out a blank cards and a cards-making pen, and skillfully created a Three-Star Telescope cards.

Lu Hong examined it carefully, confirmed there were no issues, and gave him the highest score of 10 points.

Now, Xu Bai was a Guild member with 10 Guild points.

“Alright, this is your badge for joining the Card Maker Guild; you must keep it safe, as it was made at great cost.

It’s like a cards reader; I don’t know the principle, but it can display your point status.

You can take a stroll around the Guild territory with your inviter later.

I recommend you visit our High Tower Library; there, you can see many people’s cards-making ideas and cardss, though it requires using Guild points. Currently, you have 10 points, so it’s best to look at content related to your research. Your inviter will tell you the rest; just ask him if you don’t know anything.”

“Okay, thank you for your suggestion; I will go and see.”

Taking the silver badge handed to him, the badge’s surface depicted a cards and a pen, with some intricate patterns on the back, making it appear very exquisite.

He had joined the Card Maker Guild and would gradually learn about advanced Card Makers… Walking out, his inviter, Wu Zijin, and his younger brother, Xu Le, were waiting for him outside the door.

Both their eyes lit up simultaneously, and they stood up.

“Did he pass?”

“Brother, did he pass?”

Xu Bai nodded as he replied.

“He passed.”

Hearing Xu Bai’s words, both cheered simultaneously, high-fiving in celebration.

One was happy for his brother, and the other was happy for his Guild points.

Wu Zijin patted Xu Bai’s shoulder.

“Well done, I knew you could do it. Where do you plan to go for a walk? I’ll take you.”

“I want to go to the library to have a look; is that okay?”

“Of course, but before that, are you hungry? Your brother’s stomach has been rumbling while waiting for you.”

Hearing him say that, Xu Bai rubbed his own stomach; he was indeed hungry, so he nodded.

“Okay, then let’s go eat first, and then go to the High Tower after dinner.”

“Alright, before that, I’ll submit the mission I suggested to you. The welcoming mission is phased, with corresponding tasks for each phase. I earned 10 points just by welcoming you.”

After Wu Zijin finished speaking, he quickly pulled Xu Bai’s arm and darted to a counter.

“Lili, please settle the first phase of the mission for me. This is the person I invited, named Bai Xiaobai. Take a look at his new badge.”

“Okay.”

Lili and Wu Zijin were acquaintances; she confirmed it while chatting with him.

“You really don’t want to wait, do you? You complete the first phase of the mission and immediately come to collect points. Wouldn’t it be more convenient to collect them after completing the entire mission?”

“No, no, no, for me, I spend as many points as I have. You won’t see more than 100 points stored in my badge.”

“But your previous mission, where you gained 300 points at once, and the points you get each month when your articles are cited, surely exceeded 100 points.”

Lili retorted.

“But I spent them immediately! I invested heavily in my cards research!”

At this point, Wu Zijin almost shed tears of sympathy for himself; research was truly too expensive.

“Alright, you really are something. You haven’t changed at all these past few years. You’re already a Level Four Guild member, and you still have so few points.”

Lili shook her head.

“Alright, your points have been added. Go ahead and spend them.”

“Thank you, Lili, my dear, I love you!”

After saying that, he pulled Xu Bai out… The two, no, the three, accidentally forgot about the little fellow Xu Le.

The three walked to the building with the green roof.

“Bai Xiaobai, I’ll just call you Xiaobai. Do you want to eat on the first floor or the second floor?”

“Hmm, after all this time, I still don’t know how to address you.”

“My real name is Wu Zijin, and I have an alias called Wu Bai. We’re about the same age, so just call me Wu Bai.”

“Okay, Wu Bai, can you tell me the difference between eating on the first floor and the second floor?”

“The first floor uses cash, and the second floor uses Guild points. One point is enough to eat whatever you want.

Let me tell you in advance, Guild points can be exchanged for money, but money cannot be exchanged for Guild points.”

“Wu Bai, which floor do you usually choose to eat on?”

Wu Bai’s eyes lit up.

“Xiaobai, you’re very smart! I recommend you eat on the second floor. The food on the second floor is very helpful for us Card Makers in making cardss and can increase our mental power.”

“Okay, then let’s go eat on the second floor. I’ll treat you today.”

“Then thank you, Xiaobai.”

Wu Bai revealed an even more amiable smile… Going upstairs and swiping his cards (swiping his badge), 2 points were deducted from his newly acquired 10 points.

Why were 2 points deducted for 3 people? Because, as is commonly known, children under 1 meter are not charged.

Well, actually, it was because the Card Maker Guild branch rarely had children, so the person who swiped their cardss simply made the decision to let the child eat for free.

As soon as Xu Bai had settled Xu Le, he saw Wu Bai returning with several plates.

“Try these; these are the foods I’ve eaten and recommend. Since you’re treating today, I’ll serve you.”

Xu Bai didn’t refuse the other party’s recommendation, reaching out with his chopsticks to pick up food from the plate.

Indeed, as the other party said, it was delicious, and his mental power felt more active. As for whether it had increased, he couldn’t tell.

Xu Le also happily ate the egg in front of him. He had also noticed that every time he went out with his brother, he got to eat delicious food.

He happily wiggled his feet.
