Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

111: Research in progressMainly, if a sniper is hidden in the dark and wants to aim, it might be a bit unclear, so the reticle needs some brightness to be seen clearly.

However, this brightness cannot be too bright, and the light needs to be concentrated inside the scope, otherwise the sniper is easily exposed.

There are many benefits, but other aspects also need to be considered.

”Elder Sun, I’m not particularly familiar with the research on exotic beasts. I’d like to ask first, does the fluid on the back of the Golden Earth Lizard have any smell? Also, does this fluid attract anything? And how long does the luminous effect of this fluid last? Is it stable?

If it attracts other things, the sniper will be exposed. If the luminous effect is unstable, what if it suddenly stops glowing during combat?”

Xu Bai raised some of his concerns.

After all, this item is not an ornament, but something to be used on the battlefield.

This concerns the lives of one person or tens of thousands of people, so caution is needed.

Hearing Xu Bai’s question, Sun Puge was not very familiar with it, so he asked Wang Siyu to answer his questions.

Wang Siyu replied to Xu Bai:

”Let me tell you about the Golden Earth Lizard.

The Golden Earth Lizard lives in the Poisonous Swamp Exotic Beast Zone in the southern part of our Tianlong Republic.

The reason they are called Golden Earth Lizards is because they grow in an area with a large patch of Golden Earth Grass. After eating this grass, the Golden Earth Lizards secrete a fluid from their backs that can glow.

We have also experimented; Golden Earth Grass alone does not have luminous properties. It is mainly due to a reaction between the Golden Earth Grass and a certain substance in the Golden Earth Lizard’s body that causes it to glow.

Currently, we cannot artificially mix and produce it; we can only extract it.

After extracting these fluids, I have already removed some toxic substances and mixed in some other substances to maintain its brightness in different environments.

Currently, this fluid, when placed in a sealed bottle, can be preserved for 10 years. If exposed to the open air, it can only be preserved for one year.

Also, it has no smell and does not attract other things, so you can rest assured about that.”

Xu Bai nodded after hearing Wang Siyu’s words.

”Have you confirmed whether this fluid reacts with other things, such as the miasma in swamps, or if it can still be used in high-temperature and extremely cold regions?”

”I have experimented with this, and currently, this situation has not occurred. However, other exotic beasts might spray poisonous gas. To prevent these poisonous gases from affecting this fluid, we can add a sealing layer on top to isolate it from the outside, which can also extend its preservation time.”

”Alright, with a sealing layer, this fluid will be in a stable state. I think we can try it. Remember to note down the application time and replace it promptly.”

”Okay, actually, we can calculate based on the shortest sealing time. The scopes replaced after that time can be given to trainees for practice, so there’s no need to worry about them suddenly not glowing.”

Wang Siyu was very happy that her idea was affirmed.

”Also, the cardss I made before can also have this fluid added and fused. After they are made, give them to the soldiers to try out.”

”Okay.”

Having received the task, Wang Siyu hurriedly returned to her workbench, eager to test the effects... ”Little Xu, come, look at this. I think the color needs to be changed. I want the stealth to be stronger in different exotic beast zones. I see that all the ones you made are black. Can they only be black?”

”No, it’s mainly the inner wall that needs to be black to prevent interference from other light. The surface can be any color. Elder Sun, just tell me what color you need, and I’ll cooperate.”

... ”Elder Sun, the surface of this gun is uneven, and I can’t attach this scope. If I force it on, it might easily loosen. Should it be modified, or should it be made integrated?”

”Wait a moment, let me see... Hmm... Let’s modify it. This gun is used underwater, so the reflection cannot be too strong. We need to try other materials or make it frosted. Xiao Wang, you handle that. Little Xu, you also change the material of yours.”

”Okay.”

”Okay.”

... ”Little Xu, the recoil of this gun is very strong and will impact the scope. The scope for this configuration needs to be strengthened. You figure out how to fix it to buffer the impact.”

”Okay, we can use elastic fixation to buffer the impact, but the recoil strength needs to be tested. I will make several different strengths later, and we can see which strength is best.”

... ”Elder Sun, Researcher Xu, after testing this with yellow sand, the lens is already worn, and the gun body has many scratches. It might become completely unusable if left for a bit longer.”

”Okay, I’ll think about it. How about adding another wear-resistant layer to the scope? This way, the scope won’t scratch easily, and the requirements for cleaning won’t be too high.”

”Alright, then I’ll change the material of the gun body, as the Yellow Sand Exotic Beast Zone often has unpredictable sandstorms at irregular times and places.”

... ”Researcher Xu, the experimental results for this gun are out. The scope strength is good, but when many bullets are fired, the scope becomes blurry. Take a look.”

”Okay, it seems like the locking mechanism has loosened. It might be that the recoil vibration caused the scope’s parameters to change. Because this gun is used in various environments, the scope’s magnification needs to be adjusted at any time. The style won’t change; I’ll improve the locking mechanism.”

”Good, after this improvement, this gun will be finalized.”

... The research time passed quickly. Everyone had various ideas and encountered various problems, but they all worked together to solve them.

Today’s achievements were enormous, with many new gun cardss emerging.

In the evening, Liu Tianshi brought some high-ranking military officials to inspect, and the reason they came so early

was because there was a lot of activity here. People would occasionally take test guns for various classes to experiment with and write down their usage feedback.

Many soldiers who used the guns taken out gave very positive reviews.

At the same time, they were eager to get their hands on the guns, so they secretly asked their superiors when these guns would be issued to them.

Therefore, these officers did not wait for everything to be finished before accepting them; they went directly to Liu Tianshi, asking him to bring them along to see what new weapons there were.

Liu Tianshi thought that letting them see the weapon updates was good and beneficial to him as well.

He has always been committed to military reform.

In fact, he also wanted to specially select and train a group of people to form a powerful sniper team.
