Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

109: Learn to shootLiu Tianshi’s words silenced Sun Puge.

Xu Le, on the side, seemed unaware they were talking about him, engrossed in playing with the toy gun Liu Tianshi had given him.

Sun Puge looked at Xu Le’s innocent little face.

He sighed deeply.

”Alright, maybe for a child, I’m not a good father.”

Liu Tianshi had hit Sun Puge’s sore spot.

”He just didn’t follow the path you laid out for him; he’s still excellent on the path he chose himself.

With such an outstanding son, what more could you be unsatisfied with, Old Sun?”

After speaking, Liu Tianshi smiled.

”Besides, I don’t even regret it. If he designed weapons for us like you, I’d be even happier, but if he doesn’t want to, we can’t force him.”

”Alright. I won’t think about it anymore; the child has already grown up.”

Sun Puge thought about his child’s achievements and felt quite proud, even if he hadn’t followed in his footsteps.

He turned his head and saw Xu Bai’s sparkling eyes.

That expression, clearly wanting to gossip, made Sun Puge’s old face flush.

”Stop talking.”

Liu Tianshi saw that Sun Puge was flustered and exasperated, so he gave Xu Bai a look.

Xu Bai quickly averted his gaze.

Halfway through his gossip, he felt a bit restless.

”Ahem, Old Sun, didn’t you say you stayed up all night last night researching a sniper rifle cards? Show it to Xiao Bai.”

”Ahem, yes, Little Xu, I didn’t sleep a wink last night designing this. Take a look; do you think it’s suitable?”

Xu Bai took the cards Sun Puge handed him.

As expected of a weapon researcher, based on some requirements, he had created a sniper rifle quite similar to those Xu Bai had seen before.

This model was a single-shot sniper rifle, utilizing a bolt-action mechanism, without a magazine, but with an integrated internal magazine that could only load 3 rounds at a time.

According to Sun Puge, this ammunition was 12.7 × 108 mm, filled with 30g of star energy stone.

However, one thing to note was that it couldn’t fire 9 rounds continuously. Due to the barrel material, firing too many could cause it to overheat and burst.

This model was named JJ-01... ”You need to pay attention to the key points of holding the gun. You must hold it with both hands. Don’t try to look cool by holding it with one hand. The gun’s recoil is not to be underestimated; holding it with both hands provides greater stability.

Here, cross your thumbs and firmly grip the pistol’s handle.

The gun is your second life; don’t let it be easily taken by others.”

With that, Feng Bao adjusted Xu Bai’s posture, spreading his feet shoulder-width apart.

”The gun barrel and our arm must maintain a straight line. When we shoot, we need to aim for three points in a line, meaning the front sight, rear sight, and target point must be in a straight line. Only then can we hit our intended target.

Of course, to hit the target, your posture must be stable. Posture is the ’foundation’ of our shooting. If the foundation is not solid, if the posture is not stable, then you simply cannot aim at the target.

Alright, try shooting it now and see.”

”You want me to try now?”

What the f*ck!

He just told me a few things and now he wants me to try shooting. Don’t you believe I’ll shoot you?

”Are you sure? Are you sure you want me to shoot now?” Xu Bai suspected Feng Bao had misspoken and confirmed with him again.

”I’m sure.” Feng Bao stood next to Xu Bai, not at all anxious.

Hearing Feng Bao’s affirmative reply, Xu Bai, although a little hesitant internally, still picked up the gun and began to shoot.

Three points in a line! Three points in a line! Three points in a line!

Stable posture! Stable posture! Stable posture!

Xu Bai silently recited the precautions three times, held his breath, and pulled the trigger.

”Bang.”

A gunshot rang out, but no bullet was fired from the gun.

Xu Bai stopped shooting.

”This gun...?” He looked at Feng Bao with confusion.

”Yes, you guessed it right, this gun has no bullets. Young man, don’t be too eager for success. First, practice coordinating your posture, breathing, etc., with an empty gun to avoid your movements being deformed by recoil or nervousness.”

After speaking, he added fuel to the fire.

”You made many mistakes just now.”

Why didn’t you say it was an empty gun earlier!

Alright, he still needs him to teach him, so don’t get angry.

Don’t get angry, who will suffer if I get sick from anger, who will be pleased if I die from anger... Why did a string of sentences suddenly appear in his mind?

Who wrote that? It was very popular for a while in his previous life, and many parents were discussing it then.

Never mind, don’t think about these things.

”Please, instructor, guide me.”

Xu Bai asked for guidance.

Seeing Xu Bai so serious, Feng Bao also reined in his teasing thoughts.

”First, it’s breathing. Although holding your breath can keep you stable, you must know that you can’t hold your breath forever. If you aim for a long time, won’t one breath disrupt your stability again, and then you won’t hit the target at all?

I suggest you pull the trigger at the end of an exhale. This also prevents your body from shaking due to breathing.

Then, your body is too tense. Now, shake your hands and legs. What do you feel?”

Xu Bai put down the gun in his hand, shook his hands and legs as Feng Bao instructed, and felt a pang of soreness.

He had only fired one shot, and he didn’t expect to be so sore already.

”A little sore.”

”Yes, how could it not be sore? If your muscles are constantly tense, you won’t be able to get out of bed tomorrow after just a few shots.

You need to learn to relax. Of course, relaxing doesn’t mean relaxing the hand holding the gun, otherwise, you wouldn’t even be able to hold the gun steadily, so what would you relax with?

Essentially, it means you need to have appropriate tension and relaxation.

Then, your trigger finger is pressing too hard. When we pull the trigger to fire a bullet, it’s an instantaneous thing. You need to press it slowly and gently, not suddenly and forcefully. A sudden forceful pull will make the muzzle shake. Then the previous balance would be wasted.

In other words, if the trigger is pulled with too much force, even if your initial aim is correct, it will shift after pulling the trigger, and the bullet will go off target.

This is actually a common problem for many beginners. Just pay more attention to it later.

Let me demonstrate it for you again.”

With that, Feng Bao picked up his gun, which had bullets in it.

This time, Feng Bao deliberately adjusted his speed for the demonstration.

You see, he was an old hand; shooting was a piece of cake for him.

So, when he shot before, he basically just raised the gun and fired. It was over in a few seconds, and Xu Bai couldn’t even clearly see his movements before the shooting ended; he could only see the final result.

No, the final result was still told to him by others; his eyesight wasn’t good enough either.

He wanted to cry.

This time, Xu Bai finally saw his movements clearly.
