Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

33: Evening card makingAfter sending off the guests, Xu Bai picked up Xu Le and tried to coax him to sleep, but no matter how much he tried, Xu Le remained wide awake.

“What’s wrong today? You don’t want to sleep, do you? You’re too energetic.”

“Brother, Brother.” Xu Le heard his brother’s words and laughed happily, revealing his two front teeth.

“Then let’s go make cardss together, Lele. Do you like that?”

Hearing “make cardss,” Xu Le reacted a little, his body tilting in one direction.

“Yes, yes, yes, Xu Le is so smart. We’ll go to that room to make cardss. Let’s go.”

He carried Xu Le into the cards-making room. There were no items for Xu Le in the room, so Xu Bai thought for a moment.

He held Xu Le and made a lazy sofa cards. After taking it out, he placed Xu Le in the middle of the sofa, which fit perfectly.

Wrapped by the soft sofa next to him, Xu Le curled up into a ball, just like he was in his mother’s womb.

Xu Bai then continued to make cardss. There was no other way; he had promised the customer that he would sell yun rou jin (cloud soft tissue) cardss tomorrow.

Although Riyao Group would be selling this cards tomorrow, there would still be some people coming to his small shop to buy it; the popularity wouldn’t dissipate that quickly.

One, two, three, four, five… ten, eleven… Watching his brother make cardss in front of him, lying on the soft sofa, Xu Le’s eyelids gradually grew heavy, and he soon fell asleep.

Fifty, fifty-one, fifty-two… In between making cardss, Xu Bai looked at Xu Le and, seeing him sleeping soundly, felt relieved and continued making cardss.

One hundred, one hundred and one… two hundred.

Alright, I’ll prepare this many. It should be enough for the morning sales. The machine should arrive in the afternoon, and I can replicate more then.

So tired. Now I can rest.

That night, Xu Bai lay in bed, calculating his money.

Adding what he earned tonight, he now had over 2.2 million. Tomorrow he would buy the cards replication machine for 980,000, leaving him with over 1.22 million.

Oh, right. He had almost used up all his inventory from recent practice and the past two days of cards making. He also needed to buy a batch of star energy stones and blank cardss, and his cards-making pen needed to be replaced; the wear and tear was too severe.

These would probably cost about 900,000. The cards-making pen was the biggest expense. His previous cards-making pen was bought by his parents for his academy, and he had used it for over ten years. This time, Xu Bai planned to buy a more expensive one; a pen costing four to five hundred thousand was necessary. It’s really expensive.

After deducting the above expenses, he should have about 320,000 left.

As for the dividends, it would take a month to receive them, and it was currently early June.

Thinking of this, Xu Bai wanted to sigh; most of his fortune was gone.

There was no other way; the machine was essential. As for star energy stones, blank cardss, and cards-making pens, they all had to be purchased from the official Energy Guild’s specialty store. The prices were fixed and non-negotiable, and these were also essential purchases.

Fortunately, there wouldn’t be too many large expenses later, and the cards shop was making money every day.

Oh, right, his shop could later only sell cardss made by himself and his parents. These cardss wouldn’t require stocking; they could be directly replicated using the cards replication machine.

As for other cardss, he could keep the daily-use cardss he needed for himself and his brother to use slowly, and sell off other cardss at a discount. This way, he could quickly earn a wave of money.

In other words, the shop would become a specialty store later, not a general store.
