Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

12: Selling copyrightZhao Zixuan was an impatient person, and he couldn’t wait to blurt out Fang Mu’s idea.

”Mm, alright, then I’ll leave it to Fang Mu. I can sell the copyright to this cards. This product really needs a lot of promotion. My only request is that I can still make and sell it myself.”

Xu Bai thought about it for a moment and then made his decision.

This tissue cards really wouldn’t sell much in this small shop, and he didn’t know how to promote it to make more people aware of it.

At this moment, he still didn’t know that someone planned to promote this product in the county’s local newspaper, but even if he did, he would still plan to sell it.

Because making cardss one by one by himself would take a lot of time. Xu Bai also wanted to make more various cardss and didn’t want to repeat the single task of making basic cardss.

However, the machine that could replicate cardss was too expensive, costing over two million.

If the cardss sold well, he could save money to buy a machine later. Xu Bai would not touch the 1.5 million he had saved for Xu Le; that money was intended for Xu Le when he came of age.

If he used that money to buy a machine, would he use it again next time for something else?

A person’s bottom line is lowered like this, again and again. Money is endless; there’s no need to spend this money just to earn more.

”Don’t worry, Brother Xu, we’ve known each other for a while. I’ll try to get you a higher price. But I’ll have to go home this Friday and talk to my family about it.”

Xu Bai nodded in agreement and gave Fang Mu a Softening Tissue cards.

The topic ended there.

Li Baoyu suddenly thought of the problem they had recently encountered and, remembering that Xu Bai was their senior, figured he must have participated in this competition before. He wondered if he had any experience with the competition that they could refer to.

”Brother Xu, have you participated in the ’Card Innovation Competition’ organized by the academy before? Recently, the three of us teamed up to enter this competition, and now we’re thinking about what cards to make. Can you help us brainstorm?”

”The ’Card Innovation Competition,’ huh? I did participate before. I remember getting a second-place award at the time. Look, that one over there is the cards I won with back then.”

Listening to Xu Bai’s words, the three’s eyes lit up. A senior! But looking at that cards, the three of them froze.

On the face of that cards was just a pen. The unique thing about that pen was that it had a transparent area with markings, showing how much ink was inside.

”It’s that simple?” Zhao Zixuan was incredibly surprised.

”How difficult do you think it is? Are you trying to invent something unprecedented or something that goes to heaven and earth?

This is just a simple innovation competition. Basically, it’s all about optimizing existing things. A pen, a piece of paper, a house – these can all be objects for you to optimize.

The important point in making a cards is that you need to understand the object you’re making, and at the same time, the logic of this object must be self-consistent. You can’t just copy it; a cards reader won’t be able to read it that way.

Although when we were young, we all practiced by copying, your teachers should have told you later that this was just drawing practice, not cards making.”

At this point, Xu Bai recalled something.

When his predecessor participated in this competition, the teacher wouldn’t directly give you an object and tell you to change it, saying that this was innovation. They would only let you use all your imagination to make cardss.
