Different World Card Master: Change the World with Cards

29: Card CopyAfter school, Zhao Zixuan and his two friends walked to the entrance of Brother Xu’s Card Shop and found a large sign there.

The sign read: ”Yun Rou Jin (Cloud Soft Tissue) cardss are sold out for today. Please come back tomorrow if you wish to purchase. (*^_^)”

Li Baoyu fully embraced the good habit of asking when he didn’t know.

”Brother Xu, what’s going on? Didn’t you make enough cardss?”

Hearing Li Baoyu’s voice, Xu Bai looked up and rubbed his wrist, which was sore from making cardss.

”One of my customers helped me promote my new product, the yun rou jin (cloud soft tissue) cards, in the newspaper. A lot of people came to buy it today. I drew about two hundred cardss yesterday and until noon today, and they all sold out.”

”You’re making money, Brother! Isn’t good business a good thing?”

Zhao Zixuan voiced his question.

”It’s good, it’s good, but my hands are sore from making cardss. I’m so tired, sigh.”

Hearing Xu Bai’s words, Fang Mu breathed a sigh of relief.

”Then you’re still selling the cards authorization, right? I originally thought of buying the cards authorization to help you, but I didn’t expect the cards to have such good prospects; I thought only children would use it.”

”Yes, I’m selling it, don’t worry. This cards won’t sell much if it’s only sold in my small shop.”

”Okay, Brother Xu. Today is Friday, so I’ll go home and talk to my brother about this. How much do you estimate it should sell for?”

”How about this, you ask your brother if he’ll buy it for 500,000 yuan. I mainly want to buy a cards replication machine so that the cardss I make later can be directly replicated and sold, and I won’t need to repeatedly draw the same cards.”

”I think that’s acceptable. The acquisition price for most tissue-type cardss is around 300,000 yuan. Your cards has better prospects, so 500,000 yuan is also fine.”

”That’s good. I hope it goes as smoothly as I expect. After paying taxes, I’ll have enough money to buy a cards replication machine and some star energy stones.”

”Brother, are you saying you want to buy a cards replication machine?” Zhao Zixuan interjected.

”Yes, what’s wrong?”

”Brother Xu, you should come to me. My family has a retired cards replication machine, and it only costs half the price of a brand new one. If you don’t like the retired one, our family also sells brand new ones.”

”Is there a difference between the retired one and the brand new one?”

”The main difference is the service life. The retired machine can still be used for 80 years, while a brand new machine can be used for 200 years. Also, this machine is powered by star energy stones. The energy conversion for a brand new machine is 3:1, while for a retired machine, it’s 2.5:1. However, the retired machine costs as little as 980,000 yuan, while a brand new machine costs at least 2.18 million yuan. The price difference is huge. I think it’s more cost-effective for a small shop to buy a retired machine. The price difference between them can buy so many star energy stones.”

Zhao Zixuan briefly explained the differences and offered his suggestion to Xu Bai for consideration.

Brand new machines have significant advantages in efficiency and long-term energy savings, making them suitable for large-scale purchases in high-energy-consumption, long-running industrial settings. Despite the high initial investment, energy consumption costs are significantly reduced, and the return on investment period is short.

However, retired machines are more cost-effective in terms of initial cost and are suitable for small shops that operate in small, frequent batches.

For Xu Bai, his cardss are only for his own small shop. If the volume is truly too large, he can cooperate with other companies, so it is indeed better to purchase a retired machine.
