Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

”This, this—how are you able to control it so quickly?”

Unlike Ge Fu’s shock at ”the world has actually developed to this point behind my back,” the three technicians beside him, after a brief moment of shock, showed even more astonishment and confusion, as if they had discovered a new continent. They immediately jumped around observing the robotic arm and Xiao He’s situation.

”Logically speaking, when initially operating a machine, a person’s behavior is uncontrollable! A certain level of separation training and illusion manipulation is required; it couldn’t possibly be this smooth—”

”Yes! Why are you able to resist the urge to synchronize your behavior?”

The three of them asked questions all at once, their hearts filled with doubt, which made Ge Fu, who originally thought he was making a fuss, feel much more at ease.

”Huh? Can’t you guys do it?”

Xiao He was also surprised.

He had heard that the technology exhibition already allowed for direct control, so he didn’t think much about it when he came up and just started controlling it along with everyone else.

”From a scientific point of view, it is certainly possible, but it requires repeated practice.”

One of the technicians calmly analyzed, ”After all, human reflexes are sometimes uncontrollable, especially when you are used to your own hands. When you are controlling the robotic arm, you can’t fool your brain. Many control behaviors will follow in sync. For example, if you want to control it to lift the corresponding finger, your own finger will also subconsciously twitch, unless you really lose the sensation of this hand.”

However, it is clear that Xiao He’s complicated maneuver just now was all done with his arms crossed.

His actions and movements were completely inconsistent with those of the robotic arm, yet he was able to complete the series of operations with remarkable smoothness... even more impressive than the operators who had been trained for a long time!

After hearing their explanation, Xiao He realized that he had been making assumptions.

”What’s your technique?”

One of the technicians asked curiously, while the other had already pulled out his little manual, ready to record this crucial moment.

However--

Xiao He thought about it carefully, then fell into a kind of silence.

”Well, if we’re talking about techniques, there probably aren’t any techniques at all?”

Everyone: ”Huh?”

Ge Fu, however, stroked his chin knowingly: ”Could this also be considered a kind of talent?”

Xiao He scratched his head: ”I’m not quite sure either.”

However, as he moved, the robotic arm beside him began to perform the same movements.

Clearly, Xiao He, having broken free from his previous state, was now moving in sync with the robotic arm again.

”Ah, interesting!”

The technicians exchanged glances, looking like they wanted to chat with Xiao He for another three hundred rounds, but Xiao He stopped them: ”We’re a bit pressed for time right now, let’s talk about the program at hand first!”

”Oh, right, right, we can’t let it interfere with your work here.”

So everyone turned their attention to Ge Fu.

As the magician at the heart of the show and also its planner, Ge Fu’s opinion is undoubtedly very important.

Ge Fu was also seriously considering this matter: ”To be honest, before this, I couldn’t believe that Director Zhang’s casual remark about robots performing magic would come true. Moreover, this was the first time I had ever seen such a magic performance in person, and it was truly shocking.”

Magic itself isn’t difficult. As long as you know the principles, any magician can perform it. It doesn’t require many techniques. In fact, the magic trick that Xiao He just performed was one that he had only recently taught to Xiao He, and he himself had performed it countless times. But when you see a mechanical arm smoothly complete a magician’s performance routine, you can’t help but feel a mix of emotions.

“I think we should skip all the unnecessary performance tricks,” Ge Fu said with a wry smile. “Just the fact that this machine is brought up is already very impressive, and it perfectly matches Director Zhang’s idea of AI + robots + magic.”

There’s simply no better magic show than this!

Xiao He was also pondering: ”Just doing it like this won’t achieve the full effect... How about we perform a double magician trick? I’ll just transfer some of the tricks to the robotic arm.”

”But are you sure there’s no problem?”

Ge Fu asked with some concern, his gaze also falling on the mechanical arm beside Xiao He.

Xiao He shrugged, and the mechanical arm beside him opened its arms as well: ”I’m not quite sure yet, but this is one way. If there’s no other way, we can only try it this way for now.”

”......Can.”

Ge Fu didn’t hesitate for long and immediately confirmed with Xiao He the details of the magic trick that needed to be modified.

The technicians nearby did not disturb them, but simply carried out basic debugging work.

...

Time flies, and the next review is just around the corner.

By this time, it was already mid-January, and the production team was about to finalize the program lineup for the rehearsals.

These confirmed programs will participate in a final five full rehearsals, followed by the official performance on New Year’s Eve of the Spring Festival Gala.

Xiao He and Ge Fu rehearsed the program again, and finally a new work was created – “I Have a Pair of Mechanical Hands”.

Yes, it’s a very simple and unpretentious name, which also fits the naming style of the Spring Festival Gala.

However, compared to magic performances, Xiao He actually prefers to categorize it as a two-person comedy performance with one person playing the lead and the other the straight man.

In terms of plot and performance content, this show is actually very simple. The general story goes like this: Ge Fu, a magician, hears that Xiao He has a pair of mechanical hands with magician abilities, so he wants to challenge Xiao He to see if the mechanical hands he controls can really perform magic tricks like magicians...

That’s pretty much the direction the performance will take.

Ge Fu pulled out one magic trick after another that he was good at, thinking that the robotic arm couldn’t do it. But to his surprise, the robotic arm’s magic tricks were more advanced and more precise than his.

Unconvinced, Ge Fu began to unleash his most secret techniques one by one, and a magician on stage and a pair of mechanical hands actually started a magic duel.

To put it bluntly, it’s just a disguised performance by two magicians, except that Xiao He’s role is mostly played by a mechanical hand.

This magic performance was far less difficult than the first one Ge Fu pulled out. It consisted of very basic techniques and acrobatic skills that can often be seen in many magic shows. However, this time, simply because the ”actor” performing the magic was a pair of mechanical arms, it successfully won the high praise of Zhang Qi and other program directors, and even attracted actors from other programs to watch.

After Xiao He and his group finished their performance, almost everyone looked shocked.

”Yes, yes! This is exactly what I want! This is exactly what I want! You guys who came up with this performance are geniuses!”

Zhang Qi applauded enthusiastically, while the assistant director beside him pushed up his glasses, staring in disbelief.

Brothers, you guys actually came up with those mind-blowing ideas that Director Zhang mentioned?

It’s obvious that he just casually mentioned having a robot perform!

So, does anyone actually understand what the ”colorful black” that the client is talking about really means?!
