Brother Dao Took the Entertainment Industry by Storm, Fans Beg Me Not to Kill Anymore

Chapter 417: Finally Caught the Stalker Fan

Xiao He had absolutely no idea that this birthday party had delivered such a massive shockwave and deterrent to everyone. Only Liu Rulan, looking at the suddenly skyrocketing number of email invitations, wore a satisfied smile on her face.

It wasnʼt in vain that she chose this script. Its power was indeed astonishing.

And Xiao He hadnʼt let her down either.

”Whatʼs going on?”

After seeing off the last batch of guests, Xiao He collapsed onto the sofa and asked Liu Rulan in confusion.

He guessed it was most likely related to tonightʼs birthday party.

”Your birthday party performance blew up.”

Liu Rulan said with a cheerful smile, ”Right now, clips of your performance from the livestream are all over the entire internet.”

To ensure viewers in the livestream also had a good viewing experience, the live camera angles for this stage performance had been rehearsed and adjusted in advance. This was to guarantee that ”Twelve Mirrors,” even from a livestream perspective, could tell the complete story clearly and perfectly showcase the overall stage design.

In fact, in terms of stage presentation, the livestream angle was even more comfortable to watch. Especially when Xiao He sat in the chair, single-handedly portraying twelve split personalities, the live camera boldly zoomed right in on his face, unexaggeratedly capturing every nuance of his facial expressions and the shifts in his eyes.
Because of this, the performance of ”Twelve Mirrors” far exceeded the usual scale of a typical birthday party, making many people exclaim with regret that they hadnʼt been there to see it live.

”Right now, all our email inboxes are completely flooded with script invitations.”

Liu Rulan shook her phone, ”If nothing goes wrong, your performance might even go viral overseas.”

After all, the original stage play ”Twelve Mirrors” came from a famous opera house in France, and its source material, ”Twelve Sins,” was also by a French author. The vast majority of its core fanbase was overseas. So, Liu Rulan had no doubt that once the heat from Xiao Heʼs performance spread abroad, it would inevitably travel all the way back to France and even other regions.

And from the very beginning, this had been part of her plan.

”And just now, Iʼve already sent the video to Mr. James.”

James was the assistant who had previously come to China on behalf of Director Tannis to discuss the contract with them, essentially acting as the middleman messenger.

As for Liu Rulanʼs real purpose in sending the video—well, that went without saying. Naturally, she hoped Director Tannis would see it!

Liu Rulan simply didnʼt believe that after watching Xiao Heʼs performance, Director Tannis wouldnʼt feel a surge of appreciation for his talent.

That was Director Tannis! An internationally renowned, top-tier director!

Even if the role they might get this time was just a minor one with a few appearances, as long as they seized the opportunity and got Director Tannis to recommend them to a few more industry peers, it would be absolutely worth it!

Xiao He didnʼt overthink it; he just kept nodding.

Anyway, Sister Liu would handle the advance arrangements and planning for such matters. He just needed to focus on his own work, building up bargaining chips for himself and the company.

”And then thereʼs Director Linʼs side. His new project isnʼt ʼThief Catcher 2,ʼ nor is it set in a historical martial arts background. Regarding his investment—”

”Just invest directly.” Xiao He didnʼt hesitate, ”Investing with him wonʼt be a loss.”

Besides, Lin Yipeng had family background and connections. Being able to team up with him for a profitable investment was something Xiao He naturally wouldnʼt be stingy about.

”Alright, Iʼll have Lin Cheng handle the negotiations.”

Liu Rulan nodded.

”Then thereʼs the final matter—”

Liu Rulanʼs expression turned serious, ”This birthday party went relatively smoothly. However, we discovered that a stalker fan had hidden in the stadium in advance. Once the event officially started, she tried to sneak into the backstage dressing rooms. Fortunately, someone spotted her and reported it.”

”Huh?”

Xiao He was shocked, ”Hidden in the stadium in advance? We started preparing and setting up the venue at least a week ahead, right? How long was this person hiding?”

He had indeed heard before about fans who would go to extreme lengths to see their idol, like hiding at a concert venue beforehand. But Xiao He always found such behavior utterly terrifying and completely pointless. He never imagined something like this would happen to him.

”She brought her own food and water, hid for nearly ten days, and sheʼs just a young girl.” Liu Rulan said, seeming somewhat exasperated as she rubbed her temples, ”After our people found her, she ran incredibly fast. If it werenʼt for Xiao Chenʼs sharp eyes and Lao Qiʼs quick legs, she almost managed to disappear into the spectator seats.”

”A girl?”

Xiao He found it hard to comprehend, but then, thinking about the incidents his mother had faced at school, a chill ran down his spine, ”Did you report it to the police?”

”Yes, Iʼve already had the lawyer handle that matter.” Liu Rulan replied, ”And after investigation, itʼs been confirmed that she seems to be the same stalker fan who was following you during the basketball game.”

Xiao He clicked his tongue, ”So it was her? I didnʼt realize she had come here to stake out the place in advance...”

No wonder they couldnʼt find her afterwards, and she didnʼt secretly follow him again. So she had come to stake out the birthday party venue ahead of time.

Just thinking about a girl being able to hide at the birthday party venue for over a week left Xiao He at a loss for words.

Should he praise her for her perseverance? Her determination? Or lament that she could ”love” him to such a deranged, obsessive degree?

Right now, Xiao He could only feel grateful that this girl hadnʼt caused any trouble at their event or affected the birthday party performance.

”However, this girlʼs situation is indeed a bit special. Her mental state isnʼt exactly great; sheʼs the type with all sorts of issues piled on. Even with a lawyer, itʼs not easy to handle.”

Liu Rulan shrugged, ”The lawyer just called me, saying sheʼs currently making a scene at the bureau, demanding to see you.”

Xiao He: ”...Seriously?”

”Genuinely.” Liu Rulan tapped her phone, ”But it was too late, so I didnʼt tell you immediately. Do you want me to connect you with the lawyer over there to discuss the situation?”

”No need.”

Xiao He closed his eyes, thought for a moment, then opened them again, ”But like you said, in the end, this matter probably canʼt be pursued too far legally. If we give her an opening, wonʼt there be a first time, then a second, and then a third?”

It was just like the situation his mother faced at school. A student stands by the windowsill, threatening life and death, and as a teacher, you canʼt just ignore it. Even though you know this behavior is just them adding weight to their demands, turning their unreasonable tantrums into a weapon to threaten others.

But what can you do?

When you encounter people like this, youʼre truly at a loss.

Liu Rulan was clearly also feeling helpless as she explained, ”This kind of situation is all too common. Some people are like cockroaches you canʼt kill; thereʼs simply no way to deal with them completely. For now, we can only issue warnings and pursue accountability. If necessary later, weʼll keep an eye on her.”

Xiao He frowned, ”Thatʼs so troublesome.”

It would waste their own manpower and resources. How unfair!

Then, a flash of inspiration struck Xiao He.

”Warnings... how could I almost forget, Iʼm not like other people—”

Xiao He rubbed his chin, then broke into a wide grin, ”Alright, we can offer forgiveness this time. Thereʼs just one requirement: her guardian must bring her here to apologize to me.”

Liu Rulan shot him a sidelong glance.

This kid was pure mischief, definitely up to no good.

”Forgiveness? Are you sure?”

”Mhm.”

Xiao He leaped up from the sofa, ”Letʼs go.”

Making people like him might not be easy, but making people fear him—that was as simple as breathing.
