Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2618: Chapter 2613: Treating Snakebite

Dongfang felt that Ji Yan had been poisoned, observing him all around, and finally saw a cross-shaped incision on his foot, which had been treated professionally.

Furthermore, there were traces of herbal ointment applied. Dongfang, pondering who treated it, raised his head and, upon seeing Chu Molin, thought of his beautiful and capable wife. He understood—it must have been her who treated it.

No wonder, someone with such good medical skills would handle this small matter well. Because her skills are excellent, there’s no need to worry about her mishandling such a minor injury.

For us doctors, some things are not as simple as claiming you can or can’t do it. It’s crucial not to be careless because it could be life-threatening if not handled properly.

Dongfang stood up and looked at Ji Yan, then turned to Chu Molin.

”Who is he to you? How did the child get bitten by a snake?” Dongfang pondered over this not being the wilderness, how could there be a snake bite, truly baffling.

If Dongfang couldn’t figure something out, he wouldn’t dwell on it further. As the saying goes, ’The car will find a way around the mountain’. He was curious to know what happened.

Upon Dongfang’s inquiry, Chu Molin only glanced at him, then turned away, not knowing how to answer his question as he was still unclear about the incident himself.

”Did you just come off your work shift?” Dongfang looked at Chu Molin, though it didn’t quite seem like it.

”No, why are you here?” Despite being a doctor, he wasn’t wearing a white coat and hadn’t finished his shift, leaving this phenomenon somewhat puzzling.

”I was about to finish work when I saw someone carrying a child in, looked like you, so I came over to see if it was you.” Dongfang once cooperated well with Chu Molin, leaving a strong impression.

”Now that you’ve seen, aren’t you leaving?” Chu Molin wondered why he was still here now that he knew it was him, wasn’t he leaving?

”I was just looking, do I have to leave for that? Besides, I’m a doctor too, it’s okay to check on the child, right?” Dongfang noticed Molin’s disdainful look, wondering what he did to provoke him, just checking to see if it was him, was that not allowed?

”Suit yourself.” Chu Molin, even if unwilling, had no choice but to let him be.

”What’s his condition? Is there any danger to his life?” Dongfang asked as the doctor prepared to inject the serum.

”Currently, it doesn’t seem to be a big issue, but for safety, injecting the serum is best since this snake venom is no joke.” Hearing Dongfang’s question, the doctor preparing the injection looked up at him. Though the injury had been treated professionally, without serum, one couldn’t be assured.

Dongfang, not being in the same field, was unaware of the severity, but caution was paramount. Not just life-threatening situations, even if life is spared, it could damage nerves, so injecting the serum was necessary.

”Alright, give him the shot as long as the child is safe. Prescribe medication and ensure proper treatment.” Dongfang didn’t understand the specifics of these snakes, but it didn’t mean he was entirely clueless. There are many kinds of snakes, each with different venom toxicity levels, yet he knew how serious snake venom could be. Using the example of a cobra, it can kill within seconds of a bite; the child still being alive here indicates it wasn’t a cobra that bit him. (Snake bites aren’t to be taken lightly; the narrative extends Ji Yan’s survival time for plot needs, so please don’t scrutinize it too much, thank you.)
