Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2610: Chapter 2605: So You’re the Real Big Shot

”You’re too kind. I’m just doing my duty; I wouldn’t say I’ve got great skills.” Li Rong specialized in this field, but there are always people better than you, and she didn’t dare to claim she’s very skilled. She just thought that as long as she could face her own conscience, it was enough.

”You’re being modest. Xuexue is also a doctor, and if she praises you, there’s no way your abilities could be lacking, so there’s no need to be modest, really.” Nangong Beiying didn’t think she was bad at all; on the contrary, she felt she was much better than many others.

”Haha, alright, I’ll accept your praise then. You can come to me after giving birth, I’m at Central Hospital.” Li Rong just felt she needed to do her job well. Who would have thought she’d meet so many friends? It’s actually great to make more friends, gather occasionally, chat about life, and relax.

”That’s no problem. It’s nice to have someone familiar, you know. In our profession, doctors don’t treat themselves. Besides, we’re not obstetricians.” Nangong Beiying thought the scariest thing was that doctors don’t treat themselves and there’s a bit of reluctance to be treated, so whatever you do, as a doctor, it’s best not to get sick, otherwise, you don’t even want to see a doctor yourself.

They wouldn’t think there’s something wrong with themselves, so sometimes, it’s not that they don’t want to take care of it, but they don’t know how to.

Because they know what kind of illness has what result, they don’t think about treating or managing it because once they know, it’s often too late.

When she came here, she never told anyone she knew medicine, just helped Qin Xue treat Ye Xiao’s leg once, so when others said that, they didn’t know she understood medicine.

Most of the time, she just thought about protecting herself, and when she wasn’t practicing, she wouldn’t reveal it to avoid unnecessary trouble.

”Are you also a doctor?” Nangong Beiying’s words gave Li Rong a different feeling, so she asked her.

”I know a little, but I haven’t worked in a hospital.” What Nangong Beiying knew was what she learned in her past life, and what she knew in this life was learned abroad. She had never returned to work in a hospital in the country, so her credentials were all foreign.

When Li Rong asked her now, she could only say she didn’t even know if she would become a doctor, so she didn’t say anything more to Li Rong.

”So you’re the real big shot.” Li Rong gave Nangong Beiying a thumbs up. Her own abilities were strong too, yet she was called a big shot. This was definitely the opposite.

Li Rong’s words almost made Nangong Beiying laugh. She’s a businesswoman, not a doctor anymore. How could such a situation count as a big shot? She hadn’t reached the level of wealth to be a big shot, she was just a middle-class.

It wasn’t that Nangong Beiying was being modest; it was the truth. In this life, she never thought of pursuing a doctor’s career. She learned before because the brothers in her gang often got injured, so she had to do bandaging and such. Without learning, it wouldn’t work, and it wasn’t even her personally doing it.

She learned it but after returning to take over The Nangongs, she didn’t think about pursuing that line of work again. Otherwise, she couldn’t be in two places at once, doing two jobs.

Choosing one of the two, she chose the family business because her heart softened, and she couldn’t stand seeing Mr. Nangong looking so pitiful, so she could only help him with family affairs.

Every time she saw him, she felt a sense of guilt. He arranged so much for her to survive, but she wasn’t close to him. This behavior made her feel uncomfortable, so she thought she should help manage The Nangongs to make it up to him.
