Reborn in the Eighties as a Housewife with a Space

Chapter 2601: Chapter 2596: How Could That Be Possible

Qin Xue felt it was quite nice this way, both families together, able to say whatever’s on their minds and communicate promptly about anything. It wouldn’t affect either party, which was really wonderful, because most of the time they genuinely were quite good.

”Li Rong, are you two planning to have a baby?” Qin Xue thought it’s better to have a child now that they’re married.

”Yes, we plan to, but currently my job is unstable, so we haven’t yet.” Ding Xi feared his wife might feel pressured, so when he heard Qin Xue ask, he responded right away.

”Well, that’s understandable, adapting to a new place for a while is necessary.” Qin Xue nodded, considering these matters are most burdensome for women. It’s quite remarkable for men to be empathetic since, in their view, having a child is a woman’s duty.

”Don’t listen to him, I intend to have one, and I already am pregnant.” Li Rong had planned to tell him in the evening, but she hadn’t anticipated Qin Xue asking, so she decided to announce it now.

”Rong’er, really? You’re not kidding me?” Ding Xi was overjoyed; is it possible he misheard?

After hearing this, Qin Xue glanced at Li Rong but said nothing, initially thinking Li Rong’s walking posture was unusual, thus prompting her question. Turns out she was correct, though she didn’t expect Li Rong hadn’t yet told Ding Xi.

And now, unknowingly, her question had exposed someone else’s secret.

In this moment, she felt a bit awkward. Had it not been for her, the couple would have discussed privately at home, sharing their news in their preferred way instead of having it come out now because Qin Xue worried she might have acted too impulsively.

Exactly because of this, no one expected Li Rong to openly reveal it. Now Ding Xi might be ecstatic; if he had no prior idea of this, hearing it suddenly would certainly be thrilling for him.

A man who hasn’t experienced fatherhood being told he’s going to be a father—it’s natural to feel overwhelming excitement. This should be a man’s reaction upon hearing a wife respond, so she’s observing how Ding Xi will further react.

”Rong’er, really? I’m going to be a dad?” Ding Xi eagerly looked at Li Rong, astonished at how swiftly this surprise arrived. Although he desired a child, he wasn’t rushing due to concern for his wife’s comfort, yet unexpectedly, she was indeed pregnant. It felt so different to him; words couldn’t express his feelings.

Even though his wife hadn’t mentioned it earlier, now revealing this made him even happier, showering him with surprise to the point of almost overwhelming him.

Ding Xi truly was beside himself with joy.

Primarily because his wife had never mentioned before, the impact was particularly strong, a situation he couldn’t have imagined.

”Of course it’s true, are you unhappy?” Li Rong asked the gleefully dazed man deliberately.

”How could I not be! It’s just such overwhelming joy that I’m unsure how to react. Why hadn’t you told me earlier? You know, it scared me a little.” Ding Xi felt this way merely because it was so sudden.

”Yep, because I figured you’d react this way, I was thinking about how to tell you, but didn’t expect Qin Xue to suddenly ask, so since she did, I shared it, especially with you being present.” Li Rong knew it could be addressed all at once, no need for repetition, which was quite convenient, wasn’t it?
