All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 100 Combat MechsThe forging blueprints gifted by the Group One Leader of the Soldier Spirit Pool Guild slowly unfolded within Zhou Zheng’s Divine Thought.

He immersed himself in them, carefully studying every structure and every rune.

Thanks to his century of accumulation at the Weapon Spirit Pool, he not only possessed the mechanical design and innovative thinking of a [Mechanic], but also the solid practical and enchanting foundation of a [Blacksmith].

He pondered the drawbacks of the current mechanical bionic units.

They had completely replaced the production and combat functions of the followers.

This caused the [Martial Artist] Ranks and non-Mechanic [Artisan] Ranks of many deities’ followers to almost stagnate.

Unless these deities chose to have themselves and their followers shift entirely to comprehending the mechanical Law, their overall rate of progress would be severely slowed.

”So, is there a middle ground? Instead of having machines replace the followers, could machines become an extension and amplification of the followers’ power?”

An idea sprouted in Zhou Zheng’s heart: ”With the followers as the core, craft exclusive, controllable, and powerful mechanical creations for them!”

Returning to the Divine Realm, while making final preparations for his breakthrough to Rank 2 Godhood, Zhou Zheng assigned this concept as the highest priority task to all the Nether Worker Ant Artisans within the Divine Realm.

...

On this day, the thick curtain in the center of the largest test field in the Underground City was slowly drawn back.

A colossal beast appeared before the followers!

It was about ten meters tall, cast entirely from dark alloy, and its structure perfectly mimicked the form of the Nether Soldier Ants.

Its ferocious compound eyes were replaced by multi-layered crystal observation lenses, a pair of powerful hydraulic-powered mandibles, six thick mechanical limbs supported its heavy body, and its abdomen was equipped with various functional modules.

The Worker Ants called it with awe—the ”Excavator” Combat Mech!

And inside the core cockpit in the massive mech’s chest sat a Nether Soldier Ants pilot with excited and focused eyes!

The Nether Ant Clan naturally relied on pheromones for efficient and complex communication.

The Artisans used this as a blueprint to develop a unique ”Neural Pheromone Interface,” achieving a perfect connection between the pilot’s Life signals and the mech’s core, thereby enabling precise control over this steel body as if it were their own arm!

On the test field, the ”Excavator” mech took its first step; the movements of the six mechanical limbs were initially slightly clumsy and stiff, and the metal joints emitted a teeth-gritting friction sound, appearing somewhat comical.

But under the pilot’s rapid adaptation, its movements quickly became smooth and coordinated.

After just a few attempts, the massive steel giant ant was moving freely, as agile as a real Nether Soldier Ant that had simply been given a steel body!

It was time for a live combat test!

Zhou Zheng’s Divine Thought locked onto a new natural disaster Plane.

This Plane had been completely transformed by mechanical monsters, with metal pipes and furnaces covering the surface, making it a veritable steel fortress.

One hundred dark ”Excavator” mechs violently descended upon this land of steel via a teleportation array!

The battle broke out instantly!

The mech swarm launched a ferocious charge.

The massive hydraulic mandibles could easily shear off metal arms and tear apart the shells of low-Rank mechanical monsters; the high-strength corrosive acid sprayed from their abdomens effectively dissolved the enemies’ armor!

They relied on the pheromone network to share battlefield information, executing exquisite flanking and encirclement maneuvers.

The battle situation showed a one-sided crushing trend!

However, at this moment, a dull roar came from the depths of the Plane.

An incomparably massive shadow slowly rose—it was a giant aberration forcibly fused from countless mechanical remains, furnace cores, and miscellaneous metals!

It was like a moving mountain of steel, with countless rotating saw blades, scorching drills, and energy exhaust ports protruding from its body.

One of its massive arms, constructed from discarded bridge sections, carried destructive power as it slammed violently toward an ”Excavator” mech!

Boom! The mech was sent staggering backward by the immense force, and the armor on its chest emitted a harsh, twisting sound.

At the critical moment, the pilot of that mech was exceptionally calm.

He saw the mech he was piloting abruptly step back, opening up the distance.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, the massive metal mandibles transformed into a huge, oscillating crushing hammer engraved with profound runes!

—This was the masterpiece of the Blacksmiths! A weapon combining extraordinary enchanting technology with modern mechanical creations!

”Hum——!!!”

The runes on the crushing hammer suddenly lit up, and the hammerhead began to vibrate at a high frequency, emitting a force field that distorted space!

The ”Excavator” mech’s engine roared, its six legs exerted force, and it lunged forward with a speed inconsistent with its massive body, leaping into the air!

He smashed that roaring enchanted crushing hammer fiercely toward the metal aberration!

Clang——!!!!

A deafening explosion rang out!

The massive aberration instantly lost its balance, roaring as it tilted to one side.

The other combat mechs immediately seized the opportunity and swarmed up!

Various enchanted weapons poured down on the aberration like a storm, finally precisely destroying that unstable core energy source!

The battle was won!

All the Nether Ant Clan members who participated in the battle let out earth-shaking cheers!

Zhou Zheng felt the boiling Power Of Faith of his followers, and a sense of pride surged in his heart.

He had created a brand new system that fused the wisdom of [Artisan] and the power of [Martial Artist].

”Managing mechs... why not call it [Driver]?” a Nether Worker Ant suggested silently.

The meaning was good, but for some reason, Zhou Zheng always felt this title was a bit strange.

In the end, he chose another name, [Pilot]—meaning: the mech is just a tool, what’s important is the person who pilots it!

The moment he named it!

A mysterious and profound power suddenly descended upon his Godhood!

Countless inspirations regarding ”Pilot”... poured into his Sea of Consciousness like a floodgate opening!

”This is... the power of fate? A gift from the world?” Zhou Zheng was shocked in his heart.

He instantly understood why the Gear Deity could rise so rapidly.

Those ”people of the trend” who walked at the forefront of the era and blazed new trails would receive the attention and blessings of the world’s power of fate!

At this very moment, he felt as if a cold, murderous gaze had traversed the endless Void Realm and Planes, landing on him.

It was the Gear Deity!

Two completely different paths of machinery—the stage of fate had already been set!

Between them, there would eventually be a battle!
