All Gods: Starting with Two Families

Chapter 52 The Past of the Seven GodsThe fifth day since the appearance of the rainbow staircase.

In the water mirror above the Plane Square, the Forest Goddess projection, transformed from the Cyanwood Deity, was struggling to hover on the 598th step.

This result had already broken the highest record for the rainbow staircase in recent years.

But in terms of buzz, the focus of discussion on the square at this moment was almost entirely concentrated on another water mirror—

That dual-affinity Wind and Water Deity with the bizarre behavior, repeatedly going up and down the lower levels of the staircase!

“He’s coming down again! Exactly how many times has this been?”

“I don’t get it, I don’t get it at all! Doesn’t he know there are no rewards for repeated trials?”

“Could it be some special method of Cultivation?”

Although every deity can only participate in the rainbow staircase once in their lifetime, it didn’t stop them from treating this strange sight as precious intelligence and quickly passing it on through their respective channels.

And he himself, completely unaware, had drawn a massive amount of resentment.

The moment he finally and perfectly completed the seventh single-element path and gathered all the basic elemental Laws, an anomaly occurred!

Rumble—

A slight vibration spread through the lower levels of the staircase.

Under the astonished gazes of all the deities, at the very bottom of the rainbow staircase, the full seven hundred and seventy-seven steps representing the single-element trials suddenly had their flowing radiance extinguished.

Immediately after, like a sandcastle weathering away, they silently dissipated and collapsed, returning to the seven-colored light bands flowing through the Plane!

“The... the staircase disappeared?!”

“What’s going on? This has never happened in history!”

“I... I just climbed to over a hundred steps!” Several deities who were struggling to crack the lower-level law locks felt the ground beneath them vanish. A gentle repulsive force sent them directly back to the square, their faces filled with daze and shock.

The staircase would disappear?

Was it just this time, or would it be like this from now on?

As Zhou Zheng immersed himself in the memories of the Seven Gods’ birth, advancing with irresistible force and clearing all the dual-element and even triple-element combination staircases in succession, the corresponding large sections of the staircase also collapsed and dissipated one after another in full view of the public!

More deities who were buried in their work of cracking the locks had their challenges interrupted without warning, being bounced back to the square in an embarrassed state.

Zhou Zheng was completely oblivious to the commotion all this caused. His mind was entirely captivated by the Legacy stories contained within the staircase, and his climbing speed grew faster and faster.

The subsequent story became logical but slightly mundane.

The Seven Gods successfully promoted to Formal Deities, and their research into Elemental Reactions became increasingly profound. Finishing moves involving triple and quadruple Elemental Reactions were constantly developed, and their power grew day by day.

Until that day—the memory images became clear once more—the wisest among the seven, Little Purple, and the calmest, Six Blue, proposed an earth-shattering concept!

“Since we can create finishing moves from composite elements, why can’t we create stable composite element lifeforms?”

“In nature, examples like the dual-element Lightning and Water electric eel or the dual-element Earth and Fire lava demon are everywhere!”

They suited action to word, throwing in all their passion and beginning their tireless research.

Zhou Zheng climbed to the 555th step. The rainbow elemental Laws flowing within him became increasingly majestic and vast, and he controlled them as easily as his own limbs.

The only constraint remaining was the brief cooldown and Divine Thought consumption after activating the [All-Knowing Eye].

He took a short break, and once his status was fully restored, he moved upward again.

...

On the other side, the Cyanwood Deity stopped tiredly on the 665th step to catch her breath.

The flowers in the hair of her Forest Goddess projection were somewhat withered. She was only one step away from entering the new Domain of the 666th step.

While exploring an ancient Plane previously, she had accidentally obtained profound knowledge regarding ’Elemental Reactions,’ which seemed to have a subtle connection with the legendary Seven Gods of the Rainbow. This had given her a complete advantage in cracking composite law locks, allowing her to advance triumphantly.

Just as she finished regulating her breath, condensed her Divine Thought, and prepared to start the 666th step challenge—

The solid staircase beneath her feet vanished into thin air without any warning!

An irresistible repulsive force suddenly acted upon her!

“What?!”

She only had time for a single shocked thought before her divine thought projection was forcibly thrown out of the rainbow staircase, reappearing on the square with a face full of daze and disbelief.
