Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 742: Melodrama Act

With Zhao Kai unleashing all the skills that were available, he hoped that it would be enough to shatter its leg.

”Come on, fall already!” He gnashed his teeth and glanced at his skill tree.

He activated all of them, without knowing which one of them was offensive or not. All he knew was that if it didnʼt work now, then he would be screwed.

Alas, expectations were always easily shattered. Just like Xu Feng had warned solemnly in the past— Elite Type monster was an intelligent being.

Having received and understood Zhao Kaiʼs ability by now, the Colossus no longer remained passive.

Its cracked leg which seemed to be showing signs of falling started to regenerate. The regeneration was extremely fast, quickly filling up the cracked spot.

Stunned, Zhao Kaiʼs eyes widened in shock. His mouth trembled and his attack started to slow down. Without a doubt, he had finally realized the difference in strength between them.

As if that wasnʼt enough of a shock, his expression turned pale upon noticing the health bar of the Colossus recovering straight to full.

Despite having dealt more than a little bit over 15%, it appeared that all his effort was negligible.

”Hah, is that why Feng kept trying to advise me?” Feeling defeated, Zhao Kaiʼs motivation and determination began to falter. He had tried his best to prove his worth and show Xu Feng that he could also achieve big things.

Yet reality had shown the result.

He couldnʼt!

In less than 5 seconds, the Colossus had recovered to its prime state.

”...”

Speechless, Zhao Kai was on the verge of giving up. ʼSeems like I really donʼt deserve the Guild Commander rank.ʼ

”Hey Kai, if youʼre done with your melodrama act, then wake up and start moving at 3 oʼclock to your right.”

Amidst his sullen and depressed mood, Zhao Kai heard Xu Fengʼs voice.

Alarmed, he realized the video call was still ongoing. ”D-Did you witness everything?”

”My vision might be terrible and require glasses. But itʼs not enough to be considered a blind man who canʼt see anything.”

”Can you wipe it out from your memory database?”

”It depends whether my buddy is a melodrama actor or actually my capable Guild Commander whom I promoted despite all oppositions.”

Almost immediately, Zhao Kaiʼs vanishing motivation resurfaced. His eyes flared up and every fiber of his body was ready for battle once again.

”Feng, I was complacent before.” Zhao Kai admitted his mistake. ”Since I have an encyclopedia freak by my side. I should have just used them to the max to my advantage.”

Silent, Xu Feng was unsure whether or not to get him killed.

ʼShould I send the recording to his sister?ʼ He wondered. The fact that he got labeled as an encyclopedia freak when he simply read and absorbed all the necessary knowledge to progress was quite something else.

Nevertheless, his magnanimous heart won in the end and he decided to let Zhao Kai go this once.

Since Zhao Kai suffered a big blow today, he didnʼt wish to pour salt into his wound.

”Alright, listen up, Kai. The Colossus regenerative ability might seem shocking, but itʼs just a bluff. If you take notice, you will see that the Colossus structure seemed more hollow than before.” Xu Feng explained the situation.

”Hollow?” Startled, Zhao Kai proceeded to take a look at the Colossusʼ feature as he ran in the 3 oʼclock direction following Xu Fengʼs command. ”It looks sturdy on the outside though?”

”Appearance can be deceiving. If the Colossus had truly regenerated to full, then do you think you have the leisure time to be conversing with me while fleeing?”

Realization quickly dawned upon Zhao Kai.

It was no wonder why the Colossus didnʼt attempt to strike him right away and instead resorted to utilizing the terrain. It was trying its best to conceal the truth of its regenerative ability from him.

The subsequent action made by the Colossus was just their attempt to cloud his mind and vision. The Colossus wanted him to be in despair and lose motivation gradually, causing him to be an easier prey.

Unfortunately for the Colossus, it could not have factored in that Xu Feng had overseen everything. More importantly, Xu Feng instantly dispelled all types of negativity in Zhao Kai with just a few simple words.

Thus, the moment Xu Feng commanded Zhao Kai to follow an escape path, the Colossus was baffled by the scene.

By the time the Colossus realized its prey somehow regained his composure and fled, it was already a bit too late in his scope to prevent the escape.

However, that didnʼt stop the Colossus from attempting it anyway. With a thunderous roar, the Colossus started shooting a barrage of his rock bullets and began its gravitational pull.

It manipulated gravity and locked onto Zhao Kai, with the clear intention of pulling him back to the fissure. It didnʼt attempt to use gravity to crush him because it would be futile. Zhao Kai was a Tank and with its sturdy resistance and defenses, that kind of attack would be meaningless.

As Zhao Kai felt a strong invisible force pulling him back, he began to ask for help. ”Feng, the gravitational pull is getting stronger. My speed is slowing down.”

”Relax, the gravitational pull comes from the Colossusʼs hand to exert pressure on the gravity. Just fire a few bullets in the palm of the hand to disrupt the momentum temporarily.” Xu Feng quickly told him the solution.

Dealing with these Colossus without any information was a challenge in itself. However, once you know everything about them. They were just nothing more than a big mob-type monster.

That was just how Xu Feng perceived the Colossus as such.

And the reason why he didnʼt bother telling Zhao Kai any of the information was very simple. The latter wouldnʼt be able to memorize or even absorb any of his information since it was too long.

Of course, the underlying sense was still because Xu Feng thought he could have handled the situation.

ʼBeing a babysitter really isnʼt easy.ʼ Xu Feng thought to himself.
