Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 731: Fattest Black Sheep

As realization dawned upon Xu Feng, he had an urge to excuse himself.

To think he had been scheming against many for a long time, only to end up on the other side as well.

Could this be the so-called, karma always finds its way?

”You donʼt spout lies, but you also conceal a lot.” Xu Feng clicked his tongue, clearly feeling displeased. He had gone through the effort to educate her and advise her to beware of others, but it was all a futile effort.

There was no need to educate her in this aspect whatsoever. She was even more talented and skilled than him.

”Oh, please donʼt be furious. Itʼs just a habit of mine developed since I was young.” Floral Witch lightly said. ”When you have to deal with siblings who despise you, one must learn to act powerless to survive.”

Nodding in agreement, Xu Feng couldnʼt refute her claim.

Nevertheless, he was still relieved that he didnʼt have to play the role of a babysitter. Not to mention, he wouldnʼt have to focus on too many side quests during the Hall of Resonance.

The previous large-scale raid had taken a toll on him mentally.

He had to jot down all potential players while finding the traitor and ensure the raid was successful. It was a huge risk and time-consuming event that he never wanted to do again.

Sometime later, the auction proceeded in a smooth-like manner.

And thanks to Floral Witchʼs unconventional increase of bidding on the first item. She managed to frighten away numerous players whenever she made her bid.

By now, she had spent over 2,200 gold coins on five items. Only the first items cost her 500 gold coins whereas the other four were less than that.

ʼNo wonder sheʼs the daughter of a real-estate mogul. Her calculative nature is too superior.ʼ Xu Feng must admit that he was impressed. At the same time, he took a mental note of such a method and planned to use it in the future.

”Will I perhaps get a discount when you attempt to use my strategy on how to bid?” Floral Witch suddenly said, her legs crossed and her eyes gazing at him.

”I have no idea what youʼre talking about.” Xu Feng shrugged.

”Tsk, your Vanguard Guild people are really stingy.” She clicked her tongue.

Time quickly went by, and all the items that Xu Feng pointed out were purchased by her.

Although there were still a few more items left, Floral Witch was decisive enough to suggest leaving early. Her suggestion was equivalent to saying that she trusted him and wouldnʼt bother staying for the auction longer.

Similarly, Xu Feng lost interest in the auction as well. He stood up and followed her to resume the discussion of purchase regarding the resources.

Sometime later, Floral Witch, who sat across from him said, ”For every 100 rare materials you offer, I can give you 5 gold coins.”

Almost immediately, Xu Feng nearly spat out the drink from his mouth.

”Say again?” He raised an eyebrow and asked for confirmation.

Unfazed by his behavior, Floral Witch cleared her throat and repeated, ”I said for every 100 rare materials you sent to me. Iʼll pay you 5 gold coins.”

ʼHoly hell…ʼ Speechless, Xu Feng was truly incapable of speaking this time. Never had he ever witnessed the fattest black sheep in his life.

100 rare materials could at most give a return value of 1-2 gold coins if there was a suitable buyer. Yet here Floral Witch was declaring she wanted to purchase them each for 5 gold coins.

Despite the seemingly amazing deal, Xu Feng refrained from acting in emotion.

He didnʼt agree to it right away and instead asked, ”Let me guess, you want to monopolize the materials in your plane, right?”

Having realized Floral Witch was shrewder than what her appearance could invoke, Xu Feng highly refused to believe she was doing this out of generosity.

Sure enough, Floral Witch flashed a cheeky smile. ”Yes, I want to become your exclusive buyer in the plane I operated at.”

”And I bet youʼre going to make ten times the money in return when you buy it from me.”

”So are you refusing the deal?”

”Nope, not at all.”

Xu Feng was not the type to be jealous of someone using his materials to make a profit elsewhere. The underlying foundation before this could be possible was connection.

If Floral Witch didnʼt have such a connection, then she wouldnʼt have been able to make a profit. And her connection was not his, so even if he wanted to do a similar tactic. It would probably end in failure.

Of course, he could also take the time to establish the connection, but he neither has the time nor effort to do that.

”I can agree to the deal, and refuse to sell it to anyone based in your plane. But I do not take responsibility if someone runs out of your plane to purchase my material through a third party. I will only take action if you show me proof of such an act being condoned.” He clarified and made his stance.

To summarize, if Floral Witch believed someone in her plane was getting resources through a different party but the source was the same. Then she needed to provide the evidence to him in order for action to be taken.

In other words, she would be responsible for ensuring her monopolization was tightened.

”Thatʼs natural. I donʼt wish to be babysit either when I can handle them alone.” Floral Witch nodded in agreement.

With that being said, a contract was quickly drafted between the two parties, and Xu Feng effectively earned another 1,000 gold coins by selling 20,000 rare materials to her.

”By the way, if you offer me another 500 gold coins, then I can give you a heads-up on what to prepare.” Suddenly, Xu Feng revealed another striking secret that could potentially earn him more gold coins.

”Hmm, heads-up on what?” Curious, Floral Witch wondered what kind of information was worth 500 gold coins.
