Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 740: Zhao Kai’s In Action

Prior to the monster waveʼs appearance, Xu Feng had made sure to cast Verdant Collapse all across the field.

To ensure it would be on time and within the summoned duration, he made sure to calculate everything. This included wasting many precious potions to shorten the cooldown and mana usage.

With his micro-movement and action, he effectively planted over 70 plants.

Although not all of it was discovered and managed to be in use, just the fact that he manipulated and caused the Colossus to destroy 15 plants was already an ideal amount.

With 15 plants damaged and killed by them, Xu Feng could now stack on the effect and target the Colossus.

The moment it locked onto the Colossus, it was equivalent to weakening a boss-type monster into a common mob-type monster. A mob type where one continuously kills to earn some experience points.

Of course, it would still be a difficult matter to kill, given the health points remained unchanged. However, what was beneficial was that the Colossus had turned into a straight punching bag during 10 seconds of the stun effect upon the stacking.

Thus, from the beginning, Xu Feng had been urging Zhao Kai to dive straight in but also allowed him to delay because the time wasnʼt ripe.

And after suffering from Zhao Kaiʼs antic, the time had finally ripened.

”Now Kai, activate Gluttony and go all out on the Colossus.” He commanded through the video call.

Instantly, in the midst of the monster wave, Zhao Kai was startled by the command.

ʼGluttony? Right, I had that skill but barely used it.ʼ Realization quickly dawned upon him. Since he was rarely called upon for a large-scale battle, he was storing a ton of food without ever using the skill once. Even back then in the large-scale raid, he was restricted from using the Gluttony skill.

Thus, he had somewhat forgotten about such a skill.

Having activated it, Zhao Kai instantly felt a burst of power. If it werenʼt for his durable equipment wear, then he was positive that he could have gotten rid of them— just like how a protagonist shreds their clothes upon receiving a mega power-up.

”Oh my, Iʼm brimming with power!” He exclaimed with an exhilarated expression.

Meanwhile, Xu Feng sighed as he spectated through the screen. ʼYouʼve been stacking up on the food, so the Gluttony skill is obviously going to be big.ʼ

Such an intense outcome was obvious in Xu Fengʼs eyes, so he wasnʼt surprised or anything. However, for Zhao Kai who had clearly forgotten about his broken skill, it was definitely a major surprise.

”Alright, stop flexing and attack the Colossus. Time is precious now.” Xu Feng urged.

In the blink of an eye, Zhao Kai smirked and zoomed straight in. He kicked the ground softly and propelled himself into the sky.

His small silhouette was quickly noticed by the nearby players.

”What the heck?”

”A player actually managed to get that close to a Colossus already? But why did he go there to commit suicide?”

As the players that were focused in their own skirmishes spotted a shadow of silhouette in the sky, they were dumbfounded.

Only the group of players who were disrupted by Zhao Kai earlier knew a bit about the situation.

”My goodness. That lunatic actually got that far and is still alive?” One of the tanks was startled.

The other tank in the group was equally baffled by the scene.

”If I were told to rush straight in. I think Iʼd be swarmed to death before even reaching that distance.”

With the two tanks coming to a realization that the lunatic player was something else, they swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

In their mind, they both held the same thought: just what kind of tank were they witnessing?

While these players were filled with a mix of confusion and amazement, Xu Feng himself got ready for work as well.

He quickly went on the Game Forum and began posting the screenshot that he secretly snapped through the video call.

-A player mysteriously diving straight into the monster wave!

-Evershade City: Hero or Reckless Action?

-The masked-like player leaped straight to the sky to slay the Colossus!

-Discovered! Itʼs a Gun Knight Tank, but a Tank Dealer?

-Tank DPS on the trend!

All types of different game forum posts were made in anonymous mode. Of course, to post that many all at once, he was required to pay a price to post them.

After all, the Game Forum couldnʼt afford to allow spammers to cloud the whole feature page. Thus, the first post made was free before a player must wait for a certain time to post again for free.

ʼIʼve done all I can. Now itʼs up to you, Kai.ʼ Xu Feng closed the Game Forum and turned his focus back to Zhao Kai.

On the battlefield, Zhao Kai had unleashed a barrage of combo attacks against the Colossus.

His mind was concentrated on the current weakened Colossus that was caused by Xu Fengʼs plants.

ʼI canʼt let this opportunity go to waste.ʼ Zhao Kai was determined to utilize the time to its maximum.

His right hand held the Semi-auto rifle as he pulled the trigger.

POW! POW! POW!

The bullets struck the Colossus repeatedly, but there wasnʼt any visible damage on sight. Though the health bar on the Colossus did drop by a bit.

”This is insane.” Zhao Kai smiled bitterly. If it werenʼt for its weakened state and many other factors included, he highly doubted the bullets would even make a dent in its health bar.

”Since guns are ineffective because of their sturdy outer shell. Then how about a sword?” Zhao Kai snickered coldly.

He stored his shield in his inventory and quickly retrieved a sword. The sword was of Rare quality, but it was crafted by Fiona Forgefire.

With his left hand holding a sword and his right hand holding a gun, Zhao Kai went full-on offensive mode.

”Have a taste of the power of Solar Burst Slash!” He roared thunderously and wielded his sword in a fast-paced manner. Numerous lights seemed to be flashing upon the sword blade cutting left and right horizontally and vertically.
