Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 737: Eclipser Knight

While the monsters were advancing, the atmosphere in the far distance was rather awkward at the moment.

Never once did Xu Feng anticipate that Zhao Kai would be someone who hated to read text descriptions and refused to educate himself. And when he mentioned that, he excluded school material automatically.

This was about gaming!

Shouldnʼt a player be focused on learning and studying the game mechanics if they want to play the game?

Why else would one play a game but refuse to study how to play it?

”Have you not read your skills once?” Xu Feng facepalmed.

”I did!” Zhao Kai argued.

”Oh yeah? Whatʼs the cooldown skill of your ultimate?”

”Itʼs 5 minutes.” Zhao Kai responded with extreme confidence.

ʼHeh, ultimate skills are usually five minutes. Itʼs a simple rotational system style thatʼs adapted into most games.ʼ In his mind, it was a no-brainer question.

With his chain raised up high, Zhao Kai was sure that he got him good.

However, what he least expected was a karate chop straight down on his head.

BONK!

”God damn!” Zhao Kai shrieked in pain and crouched down, his hands clutching tightly on his head.

”What was that for?” He stared at Xu Feng and hissed coldly.

”Your ultimate skill has a 30-minute cooldown and you have the nerve to lie with such confidence. If not a karate chop on the head, should I have bitch slap you across the face?” Xu Feng coldly exclaimed.

”Oh, 30 minutes?” Zhao Kaiʼs mouth left an ”O” shape as he swiftly opened his skill tree and checked the cooldown. Sure enough, when he finally realized it was 30 minutes, he smiled awkwardly.

”Haha, I was just testing your knowledge.” He chuckled and made up an excuse on the spot.

”...”

The shamelessness exuded by Zhao Kai was truly unparalleled. He messed up, but still managed to come up with a lie on the spot. To put the cherry on the topping, he was so confident, almost as if it was the truth.

”Since you know all your skills, then dive straight in!” Not one to let him off easily, Xu Feng declared coldly as he pointed at the sea of monsters.

”Haha, did you think I would be afraid?” Prideful, Zhao Kai placed his hands on his hips, his eyes staring at the ferocious monsters.

And right at this moment, he saw the Colossus ripping out another large plant on the ground and began munching it as some crunch snack.

As the plantʼs vines struggled to wiggle their way out to escape, the Colossus merely snickered and continued to chew until no more life could be seen from the plant.

Shortly after, the plant exploded, but the jaws of the Colossus remained completely intact. It then proceeded to scratch its sturdy rock chin softly, almost as if it had been itched by a small mosquito.

Beads of sweat trickled down Zhao Kaiʼs forehead when he witnessed that scene at the wrong time. ʼFuck, is that even an Elite Boss and not some Legendary Boss?ʼ

”Hmm, the Colossus is quite stronger than I had in mind.” Xu Feng suddenly said.

”Oh well, it doesnʼt matter much since we got the know-it-all Kai. These Colossus are easy to deflect by you.” He continued, praising Zhao Kai and his peerlessness.

”I was wrong, Feng.” Almost immediately, Zhao Kai went on all four and pleaded for mercy. ”I donʼt know any of my skills. Iʼll die the moment I get surrounded by them.”

Zhao Kai confessed that he rarely bothered to read any of the skills descriptions.

Xu Feng was left speechless. For someone who was forced to read numerous documents by his sister, he sure knows how to find other ways to slack off. Yet he had to slack off on crucial things.

ʼSkills are the critical aspect for a playerʼs strength, and he chose to ignore it.ʼ Xu Feng furrowed his brows.

”Youʼre lucky the plants I set up in advance can delay them for 10 minutes.” He clicked his tongue and questioned what kind of skills he unlocked from the Eclipser Knight.

Sometime later, Xu Feng confirmed that there were a total of 7 skills he unlocked.

2 Offensive, 1 Defensive, 1 Utility, 2 Passive, and 1 Ultimate skills.

For offensive skills, Zhao Kai unlocked Starlight Rain and Solar Burst Slash.

Starlight Rain was a skill that summoned a volley of celestial bullets from above, damaging all enemies in a targeted area. It was a good mobbing AOE skill.

As for Solar Burst Slash, it was a hybrid melee-and-ranged attack that combined a gunshot with a sword strike, which would cause an explosive solar effect.

Those affected by the solar effect would be weakened for 3 seconds.

And to ensure his safety, Zhao Kai was clever enough to unlock the Moonlit Shield, which temporarily increased his defense and absorbed the damage received, converting part of it into health.

”How did you know what to unlock precisely if you didnʼt even read their skills?” Xu Feng questioned in disbelief.

”I didnʼt.” Zhao Kai scratched his head innocently.

”The skillsʼ names sounded cool, so I unlocked them.”

”Is that the same for Celestial Reload, Celestial Precision, Dual Harmony, and Ecliptic Overdrive?”

”Thatʼs right!” Zhao Kai clasped his hands.

Celestial Reload was the utility skill that he unlocked, and from the name itself, he deduced it was something related to reload. He had no idea that the skill meant instant reload on all his firearms and granted him a temporary increase in attack speed.

Despite the formula being extremely wrong, the mere fact that he derived the correct answer was baffling enough.

As if that wasnʼt enough to tilt Xu Feng off, Zhao Kai continued to explain his great mindset.

”The passive skill, Dual Harmony and Celestial Precision seemed suitable for me. As you know, Iʼm a harmonic person with a dual personality: one generous and the other magnanimous. And Celestial Precision pairs well with the name Celestial Reload.”

The Dual Harmony was a passive that enhanced his synergy between sword and gun attacks whereas Celestial Precision increased the critical hit rate.

These two were the perfect passive combo, but Xu Feng had enough.

Just before Zhao Kai could ramble on about how he chose the ultimate skill, Ecliptic Overdrive, Xu Feng made the only move that any sane person would do.

”Go to hell.” Xu Feng uttered, raised his legs, and kicked Zhao Kai off the cliff.
