Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 734: Good Riddance

Evershade City

As the chaos unfolded, and players who were in disagreement or disputes began to temporarily put aside their differences, Xu Feng was calmly watching from the sideline with an amused expression.

”I wonder how many cities would survive.” He muttered. In the past timeline, there were a minimum of 20 fallen cities. Those cities had fallen due to the playersʼ competitiveness with each other and failed to actually improve the cityʼs population overall.

Without sufficient manpower, it would be impossible to overwhelm the large number of monster waves, followed by the emergence of the Colossus.

These Colossus were extremely durable and powerful. If it were to be compared to the large-scale raid boss, then it was the equivalent of a toddler versus a full adult.

”Guild Leader, will our city be fine then?” Zhao Kai, who had been based in Evershade City from the beginning, sat across from him and asked.

”Our city is also listed as a target by the Colossus. If we fail to defend, then Iʼll lose all my progress.” He continued. His expression was listless, clearly afraid of Evershade City being fallen.

Having been based here, Zhao Kai knew fully well that it could not defend against the Colossusʼ offense. However, he also believed Xu Feng must have had a plan that wasnʼt unveiled yet.

There was just no way Xu Feng would send him to work a crap ton in this city for naught.

”Relax, have things ever gone awry regarding my plans?” Xu Feng chuckled. He understood the worry that Zhao Kai was coming from, but shouldnʼt the latter have improved his mentality already?

Why was he such a worrywart?

”The initial recruitment of the guild was hindered by the Reaver Guild. The large-scale raid we did but were subsequently ambushed by Lethal Corp. The auction we did, got ambushed by a sudden monster wave.” Zhao Kai continued to list out many unexpected situations during their plan.

However, what he failed to recall was that each one of those unexpected situations was equally resolved, with some even providing greater results than initially.

”Do you seriously distrust my skills that much?” Xu Feng twitched his brows. He had time and time proven those who underestimated him wrong already.

Not to mention, he was well prepared for this Siege of the Colossus from the beginning. The chance of him failing was abysmally low.

”Well, then do something about it!” Zhao Kai cried aloud. ”Iʼm not your enemy or neutral people. Stop hoarding all the secrets to yourself and spill the beans. How can you live so carefreely while knowing Iʼm in pain?”

”Um, you being in pain just makes me happy.”

”...”

It was at this moment that Zhao Kai realized, he fucked up. Being bros meant that they would want to see each otherʼs misery and enjoy it. The only exception was when the situation was seriously messed up, but that kind of situation was very low.

”If you donʼt tell me, then Iʼll expose your real identity to my sister.” Zhao Kai ruthlessly threatened.

”Do it.” Xu Feng dared him in response. Even if Zhao Kai announced that to the world, not a single soul would believe him.

Why was that?

Almost all of them knew he was Cool Wind, and it was common knowledge that Cool Wind and Lin Feng were two individuals.

No matter how loudly Zhao Kai echoed it, people would only think he was trying to fool and misdirect them.

”Ugh, you really are hateful—” Before Zhao Kai could finish his speech, the ground beneath him trembled heavily. His balance was shaken and he nearly stumbled to the ground.

”Crap, they really are hitting the cities simultaneously?” Startled, Zhao Kai quickly searched for the source. To his dismay, he witnessed a scene even more dramatic than the time when the monster wave invaded Star Falls City.

The monsters numbered only around 20,000— just a little bit two times over the ones at Star Falls City.

However, the difference here was that there were three new entities. Three mega Colossus stood behind the army of monsters and upon a glance, Zhao Kai regretted looking at the system prompt of their description.

—

Monster Name: Colossus

Type: Epic Boss

Level: 50

HP: 500,000,000/500,000,000

—

”All three of them are level 50 epic boss types. 500 million HP as well. Is the Divine World telling me to resign my fate?” Zhao Kai twitched his mouth in disbelief.

Truth be told, he was quite confident with his Hidden Class, Eclipser Knight.

It had taken him such a long time to finally pass the prerequisites, so he thought he could pull off a similar stunt as Eclipse Nova did.

Yet now that he was faced with such a threat, he realized just how ridiculous his Hidden Class was when compared to Eclipse Nova.

”Feng, you got a Hidden Class as well, right?” Zhao Kai turned to him and asked in a bittersweet tone. ”Is it as powerful as your Boss, Eclipse Nova?”

”Not as powerful, but decent.” Xu Feng responded calmly.

There was no need to reveal his Eclipse Nova persona to Zhao Kai. In fact, it was better to keep this secret for as long as he could, until people decided to wise up and start connecting some dots or raise speculation.

As he turned his attention to the invasion led by three major Colossus along with a monster wave of level 35s numbered in 20,000. His expression turned solemn. One could say his luck in encountering the worst possible situation was at its peak.

That was until Zhao Kai managed to receive some news.

”Oh my, the Reaver Guild is actually doomed.” He exclaimed in laughter. ”I wanted to post this screenshot in the Game Forum to curse my luck, but Ironspire City is under attack by five Colossus. Talk about good riddance!”

”Five Colossus?” Even Xu Feng was dumbfounded by the news. If he recalled about the past timeline, he was sure Ironspire City only had to deal with one Colossus. It was the easiest crisis for them to resolve. And through that, they managed to capitalize on it and expand further when others suffered tremendously.
