Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 733: The Storm Approached

Two Days Later, Dawnshire City

Within the temporary building in replace of a Guild Residence, Gentle Wind was busy assigning her subordinates and reading the reports.

”Guild Leader, our people managed to raid another level 30 Normal Mode dungeon successfully. We managed to haul in another batch of equipment.” Steelshot reported excitedly.

After all, the team that accomplished the feat was none other than the team under him.

Why wouldnʼt he feel proud?

”Good, what about you?” Gentle Wind smiled and turned her attention to SilentWhisper.

Ever since SilentWhisper received a betrayal blow because of suspicion of her poor gameplay, she had improved tremendously. She even had an air of coolness around her, especially after the large-scale raid done alongside the Vanguard Guild Leader.

She was no longer the timid Sorcerer who constantly made mistakes.

”Steelshotʼs team completed another level 30 Normal Mode Dungeon, but my team didnʼt complete any,” SilentWhisper reported.

”Hehe, you should really come to me for some advice.” Almost immediately, Steelshot raised his chin upward and said, ”I can help you out if needed. Thereʼs no need to be ashamed when weʼre both in the same guild.”

While Steelshot was somewhat gloating about his ability, Gentle Wind, on the other hand, was more intrigued by SilentWhisperʼs response.

”Silent, by any chance, have you completed a Hell Mode Difficulty?” She questioned.

Sure enough, SilentWhisper curled her lips upward, flashing a cold grin.

She made sure to turn to Steelshot while replying, ”Yeah, my team isnʼt good enough to deal with Normal Mode, so I sent them to Hell Mode. The result isnʼt as good as Lin Feng, but Iʼm happy to say the casualties arenʼt below half.”

It was as if multiple glasses had shattered simultaneously, Steelshot quickly plopped to the ground, and on all four. A look of defeat could be seen in his expression.

Meanwhile, SilentWhisper casually held her staff and gently used it to pat on his back a few times.

”No need to feel deflated, Steelshot. If you need help, then youʼre free to come to me for some advice. Weʼre in the same guild, after all, so there is no shame to feel.” She consoled lightly.

Though her consolation was more of a tease and jab than actually trying to make Steelshot feel any better.

”Alright, Steel is just a bit competitive. Thereʼs no need to—” Right when Gentle Wind was about to stop the two from continuing, a fierce tremor occurred.

Alerted, she hurriedly stood up and glanced outside the window. ”Whatʼs going on?”

As soon as she raised that question, she received multiple notifications in her messages. Without hesitation, she opened her system interface, only to see most of her message came from the intelligence network department.

Along with the messages were the heading being listed out in many exclamation marks.

”Silent, Steel, hurry up and gather all guild members. Weʼre in red alert mode now.” Gentle Wind quickly ordered.

The red alert mode was the highest alarm that she had set for the guild. It meant that no matter where the players were. They had to drop their things and return. This included those who were currently offline.

Almost immediately, Steelshot turned to SilentWhisper.

”Iʼll go offline and get the rest.” He then said before logging out. He didnʼt even bother to wait for SilentWhisperʼs response.

Naturally, SilentWhisper also quickly sent out multiple alerts to those who were online. It was clear that Steelshot had decided to take the tedious task and gave her an easier one.

While this was occurring, Gentle Wind also received a video call from Herald Fist.

Accepting the call after a brief second, Herald Fistʼs face turned up on the hologram.

”You felt the tremor, right?” Herald Fist asked.

”If I didnʼt feel it, then I wouldnʼt have been accepting your call.” Gentle Wind responded.

”I suggest a temporary truce. Thereʼs no point in competing for Dawnshire City if itʼs going to get ruined.”

”Accepted. Weʼll meet at the central plaza 10 minutes from now.”

”Good enough. Iʼll have to gather everyone as well to prepare for this crisis.”

Shortly after the call ended, Gentle Wind increased the scope of her informants to report about the situation.

”To think itʼs actually happening now. Weʼre all taken off-guard.” Gentle Wind gritted her teeth. Her eyes stared intensely at the system prompt that had been broadcast to every player.

System: Siege of the Colossus has commenced! The Colossus has finally awakened and declared war on multiple cities! Players, do your best to defend the cities! Fallen cities meant the loss of all progress you made and if youʼre of a Noble status, then punishment would be applied for failure of duty!

The Siege of the Colossus had affected and caught numerous players off-guard. This was especially true when their city was chosen to be invaded.

As for those who had their city not chosen, they were relieved. However, that didnʼt mean it was good either, given that they would lose out on potential rewards and possible exclusive or unique items dropped by not participating.

Therefore, those who werenʼt affected, still ultimately decided to migrate to the affected city and participate.

The storm was approaching, and these players had to act fast despite being completely unprepared.

Meanwhile, on a different plane, Floral Witch gazed at the system prompt in a relatively relaxed position.

”Miss, itʼs a good thing we have prepared in advance. Otherwise, weʼre going to be in big trouble.” Floral Witchʼs maid, Jasmine, entered the room and said with a sigh of relief.

”How are my eldest siblings faring?” Floral Witch casually asked.

”They are all scrambling to get elites to defend their cities, but manpower is definitely lacking,” Jasmine responded. ”By the way, Miss. How did you know about this when everyone forgot about it already?”

”Everyone?” Floral Witch raised an eyebrow with an amused expression.

”Not everyone.” She corrected it while her mind quickly formed an image of Xu Feng. ʼThe Vanguard Guild really cannot be estimated. They were already prepared for this event while everyone else was too busy scrambling about dungeon raids and recruitment.ʼ
