Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 911: Chapter 116: The Territory’s Formidable Military Power (2)

Demigod, even higher than the Holy Sanctuary. Theoretically, the Empire should have many Holy Sanctuary Knights, far more than the currently active Legendary Knights. But even at this level, the Empire has no active or even rumored demigods.

One can imagine how astonishing Gaucric’s existence is.

In summary, this is a dark and desperate age, but also an era where heroes emerge in large numbers.

After Su Li clicked his tongue in admiration, he spoke with high spirits: ”This is also the best era for us. We must quickly head to the Spider’s Nest. The personnel and army configuration will be arranged by you.”

”No problem.” Hilude, with a heroic demeanor, clenched a fist and thumped his chest, assuring, ”We can set out by tomorrow morning.”

Hilude’s assurance was extremely reliable, and early the next morning, the list for the expedition was delivered to Su Li’s hands.

This time, unlike the previous large-scale mass recruiting, the Hesse Territory’s army emphasized compactness and versatility.

The forces going into battle include 3 Divine Chosen Knights, 12 Human Champion Knights, 3 Dwarf Champion Butchers, 2 Dwarf Rangers, and 1 Champion Level Amber Magic - Beastman Calamity Star!

There are as many as 21 knights of Champion Level and Divine Chosen Level! The auxiliary army consists of 200 dwarves, 200 knights, and armed attendants.

With such a configuration, even among the Elector’s troops, it is considered the cream of the crop!

When this team was assembled, everyone was utterly shocked. Besides Lord, the territory also had 20 Champion Knights and Divine Chosen Knights!

Whether the neighboring Blue Mirror Territory even has one Champion Knight is a debatable question.

It can be said Su Li’s army configuration surpasses even many Duke’s Territories. This is why Su Li has the confidence to declare the unification of the Border Prince’s Territory.

If he couldn’t even match a Duke, he should abandon the illusion of conquering the Border Prince’s Territory. If you can’t defeat a Duke, on what basis can you hope to take over a territory comparable to the Elector’s Territory?

As Su Li looked at these people, he felt the striking power and momentum like a tiger poised to swallow a thousand miles. Their banners and armor shone all over the world, serving as the foundation of his kingly enterprise. More importantly, most of them were trained by him personally. It’s a direct result of the Hesse Territory’s farming achievements! If it weren’t for the many Extraordinary Fruits from Hesse Territory, most of them would still be stuck at the Elite Level.

This makes their loyalty extremely high, completely devoted to following Su Li, hoping to progress to higher stages towards the Divine Chosen Level.

It can be said without exaggeration that even if a Legendary Knight wanted to replace Su Li and seize Hesse Territory, these Divine Chosen Knights and Champion Knights would not yield and would erupt into war and internal conflict, overthrowing the Legendary Level rule and reinstating Su Li as the Commander-in-Chief.

This is also why in political struggles, it’s useless to just kill the powerful ministers. Killing the minister means that he and his ruling group will regroup for common interests and retaliate.

Staring at the Bauhinia Flower Emblem shining with golden light on the knights’ chests, Su Li, filled with ambition, waved his right arm and directly ordered: ”The entire army, set off for the Storm Shadow Fortress.”

Hundreds of elite troops immediately turned right in unison, raising dozens of banners, and marched on with high momentum.

The territory now has Rainbow Silk and Anaric’s Giant Spider silk, producing quite a number of banners. Previously, Su Li would find one Anaric Giant Spider’s nest with one or two pieces of intelligence, occasionally obtaining some spider silk. This time, however, he planned to conduct the Peach Court Sweep on the monster forces below the Storm Shadow Fortress!

After this, Hesse Territory would no longer lack banners. Even if the army expanded to 3000 Elite Infantry and Cavalry, he could still ensure the equipment of the troops remains excellent, and the armor and armaments well-kept.

A 3000 person army is basically the most common standard for a Baron. Many barons within the Empire still make up numbers; their troops often report false numbers, claiming 1000 elite knights and 2000 armed attendants, but in reality, it might just be 100 elite knights plus 3000 armed attendants.

Su Li, however, could genuinely pull off having over a thousand elite knights!

Of course, this is after his military expansion. Currently, in order to gradually balance the territory’s finances, he hasn’t expanded, and the forces remain around 2400 infantry and cavalry, with fewer than 1000 elite knights.

On the march, Su Li pondered and asked Hilude: ”Have you received any letters from the family recently?”

Hilude asked in surprise: ”At the beginning of the year, we dispatched a team to Bauhinia Castle, delivering pearl wheat, steel wheat, armor, and warhorses, totaling over 200 units of supplies. We also informed Bauhinia Castle about our intention to host the Radiant Festival. But the family hasn’t replied, or perhaps the messenger with the reply encountered misfortune on the way. You know, our messengers often get attacked by monsters. 2 to 3 out of 10 attempts at contact fail. We witnessed the hardships and difficulties of this journey ourselves - it’s not an easy road. Lord, why do you ask about this all of a sudden?”

Of course Su Li was aware of the journey’s difficulties, having personally traveled it. Even within the Empire, the vast fields between power centers are filled with various kinds of monsters.

And within the Border Prince’s Territory, it’s even more perilous; even the power centers aren’t safe, as many Pioneer Lords also dabble in the role of bandit.

This is why the dwarves specially sent Su Li a squad from the Hammer of War, as the air cavalry and airship really make transporting materials more convenient.
