Pioneer Lord: Starting From Daily Intelligence

Chapter 906: Chapter 114: Armory Production Boost and Demster’s Power Surge_4

The combat prowess of a Knight’s mount comes at least half from the armor it wears, and this is a perfect-grade horse armor capable of providing area-burning effects.

Demster’s series of complaints earlier weren’t really grievances against the Territory; it was just to win himself more advantages, wasn’t it?

Just like last time when he dueled the Khorne Blessed Divine Chosen Knight Ganser, he won and gained quite a bit of benefits, his attacks becoming more fierce.

The blessing of the Blood God is fair; besides being the god of slaughter and destruction, he is also the embodiment of human courage and the spirit of sacrifice. The Evil God has a dual nature, so if you remove his brutality and bloodlust, his divine office could also be understood as the God of War, or the God of Justice.

This involves the source of Chaos Demonic Power, and all demonic power essentially originates from the projection of extreme emotions by sentient beings.

The nature of Khorne’s Subspace isn’t entirely negative; there exists dimensions related to positive spirits, but these traits are often distorted by extremity. For instance, Khorne’s obsession with honor in combat and victory can be seen as an extreme expression of ”courage.”

On the other hand, Khorne advocates for the honor code of ”frontline combat,” opposing the use of deceit or ranged weapons (such as magic and firearms). This trait can be described as a manifestation of ”fair competition” and ”sportsmanship,” but in reality, this ”honor” merely serves slaughter itself, devoid of moral concerns.

Finally, Khorne’s followers pursue pure enhancement of strength, symbolizing a desire to ”overcome limits.” Followers surpass themselves through constant combat, and this veneration of strength can be compared to the struggle spirit in competitive sports in a positive sense, but in extremity, it results in indiscriminate slaughter.

All of this manifests in Ganser; when he uses Divine Magic: Eye of the Blood God, and if he wins the upcoming duel, he would be blessed by the Blood God, with attacks becoming more fierce and violent, full of the Blood God’s brutality. Every victory in a duel permanently boosts his attack prowess, taking him to a higher level.

Perhaps one day, his fierceness would be enough to terrify enemies, even a simple axe chop could instantly deplete most of an enemy’s health bar.

However, if Ganser loses, the blessing transfers to his opponent. It is a positive blessing representing the human spirit’s courage, strength, and fearlessness. The extreme emotions, brutality pollution, and Chaos Corruption remain with Ganser.

Such occurrences are not uncommon, both inside and outside the Empire, where people grow stronger by slaying demons.

Of course, such individuals often face bad endings, easily tempted and corrupted by demons in the end.

In the arena, Demster says he feels the scorching gaze of the Blood God’s hunt, possibly stemming from this.

Nonetheless, he’s only dueled Ganser once and hasn’t had much contact with Chaos Corruption. For now, it seems the Blood God isn’t very interested in him; the benefits he gained from winning duels are still positive, enhancing his combat strength a great deal.

With the Sun Flame Horse Armor, he and his mount’s combat power can be further enhanced. By then, Black Hoof’s hooves will be enveloped in a halo of flames, leaving a fiery trace behind after charging into battle clad in horse armor.

So when Su Li inquired, he excitedly responded: ”My Lord, I luckily did not fail, together with Black Hoof, successfully purified all the Undead Monsters on the Ghost Ship, and brought back all 12 chests of Gold Coins. The harvest this time is indeed very abundant!”
