189: Zhang Yuanhang: In this case, I can only bring out the space elevator!“I refuse to believe it!”

After outputting for a long time against the Plasma Shield, seeing that the device remained motionless, a soldier directly shouldered a rocket launcher.

He fired a shot directly at the Plasma Shield.

Everyone present, except for Zhang Yuanhang, felt their hearts rise into their throats.

“Bang!”

After a loud bang, Everyone’s expressions became excited.

The ground in front of the Plasma Shield was directly blasted into a crater.

Within the shield’s protective range, nothing happened.

It was as if they were two different worlds.

“Let’s all do it together!”

Several soldiers quickly switched to rocket launchers and began a barrage of indiscriminate bombing against the Plasma Shield.

Zhang Yuanhang looked down at his tablet, then a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

Their consumption rate was far from catching up to the Plasma Shield’s recovery rate.

This indicated that relying solely on rocket launchers could not shake the Plasma Shield at all.

The soldiers bombed indiscriminately for a long time, so exhausted they could barely breathe. They were all half-crouching, their eyes fixed on the Plasma Shield as the smoke gradually dissipated.

When the smoke cleared, the soldiers’ eyes nearly popped out.

A four to five-meter deep crater appeared in front of the Plasma Shield.

“Damn, even a tank would have been blown to smithereens by this firepower!”

“Is this thing that outrageous?”

The soldiers looked at Zhang Yuanhang in disbelief.

They couldn’t help but exclaim in their hearts: As expected of something developed by Great God Zhang Yuanhang!

“You all try the cannon!”

Zhang Yuanhang gestured, telling the soldiers to fire a shot from the 80mm cannon next to them at the Plasma Shield.

“Yes, Academician Zhang Yuanhang.”

The soldiers nodded, then jogged to the cannon and operated it, adjusting its angle.

They fired a shot directly at the Plasma Shield.

“Boom!”

The result was the same as the previous times; the Plasma Shield remained completely unharmed.

Zhang Yuanhang glanced at the tablet. That shot caused the Plasma Shield’s durability to drop by three points instantly, but it recovered immediately.

Zhang Yuanhang recorded this data.

“If this shield were applied to our combat units, wouldn’t they be invincible?”

Leader Jia said.

“Exactly.”

Zhang Yuanhang smiled.

Capital.

The Top Leader and other leaders watched the Plasma Shield experiment via projector, all swallowing hard.

Ever since thermal weapons appeared on the stage, the result of who was stronger, the spear or the shield, was clear at a glance.

Unexpectedly, Zhang Yuanhang had made this question difficult to debate again.

Plasma Shield!!!

“Everyone, the Plasma Shield is very important for the future of our Huaxia. A dedicated research base must be established to study it.”

Elder Wang stepped forward and spoke.

He understood that Zhang Yuanhang had many responsibilities and could not devote much energy to this Plasma Shield.

Therefore, the Government must quickly organize a research base, first to learn from Zhang Yuanhang, and then to take over from Zhang Yuanhang in researching this Plasma Shield.

“Elder Wang’s suggestion is good.”

The Top Leader also fully agreed.

The Top Leader did not want Zhang Yuanhang to be tied down by the Plasma Shield.

“By the way, Chief and Everyone, Mars recently sent a report requesting our support.”

“Now that the development of Mars is on track, too many resources need to be transported from Space to Mars every day.”

“The Space Freighters are already too busy.”

Elder Wang said.

“Elder Wang, that’s not difficult. Just transfer some Space Freighters from the Moon’s Space Freighter fleet and our Blue Star’s Space Freighter fleet.”

A leader spoke.

“That won’t do. Currently, the main task of the Space Freighters is to transport parts for the weather modification instruments to the Moon.”

“We still need to deploy a large number of weather modification instruments on the Moon!”

Elder Wang quickly waved his hand. Whoever dared to touch the Space Freighters here, Elder Wang would fight them.

“Moreover, Mars needs an efficient transportation method.”

Elder Wang said.

“First, let the factory increase the production of Space Freighters.”

“Later, after Little Zhang is done, we’ll ask him if he has any methods to improve efficiency.”

The Top Leader said.

Even if Elder Wang didn’t bring up this issue, The Top Leader would have asked Zhang Yuanhang about it.

While Electromagnetic Railguns could quickly transport materials from a planet to Space, transporting them from Space to a planet was very troublesome.

Currently, the materials produced on the Moon and transported back to Blue Star caused the pilots of those Space Freighters to be utterly exhausted every day.

And this was still the result of the Moon not being fully developed. An efficient transportation method was imperative.

Shancheng Military Base.

Zhang Yuanhang had already finished the experiment; he had collected enough data.

At this time, Zhang Yuanhang was personally teaching Academician Wu, Academician Sun, and Academician Zhao, just like a kindergarten teacher teaching little kids.

Surrounding them were many researchers, diligently listening with their notebooks, even if they didn’t fully understand, they tried to grasp as much as possible.

After teaching Everyone the theory, Zhang Yuanhang led Academician Wu and the others to begin manufacturing a large Plasma Shield.

During this period, Elder Wang arrived at Shancheng Military Base with a group of Academicians.

“Little Zhang, I’ve brought you students.”

Elder Wang brought a group of Academicians who could be Zhang Yuanhang’s grandfathers.

No one present laughed at Elder Wang’s words, because any one of them, taken individually, was considerably older than Zhang Yuanhang.

“Hahaha, alright, thank you, Elder Wang.”

Zhang Yuanhang had received prior notice that the Government wanted him to train some people.

Zhang Yuanhang welcomed this very much.

“Little Zhang, there’s another matter that might require your help later.”

Elder Wang looked at Zhang Yuanhang apologetically.

“Elder Wang, please say it.”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

“Our transportation capacity has reached its limit. Too many materials are being transported back from Space every day, and relying on Space Freighters is simply not fast enough.”

“I wonder if Little Zhang, you have a way to increase the transportation capacity?”

Elder Wang looked at Zhang Yuanhang with anticipation in his eyes.

Zhang Yuanhang pondered for a moment after hearing Elder Wang’s words, then said, “I need to research this.”

At this, Zhang Yuanhang immediately thought of a material from the Plasma Shield technology: carbon nanotubes!!!

The tensile strength of these carbon nanotubes, for the same volume, is two hundred times that of steel, and their mass is only one-fiftieth that of steel.

Overall, this material meets both strength and lightness requirements.

It can be perfectly used to build a Space Elevator.

That’s right, a Space Elevator.
