188: Plasma shield testing begins“Xiao Jia, are you sure this armor was prepared by Academician Zhang Yuanhang for our Firefighting department?”

“It’s really not for the Border soldiers, is it?”

The leader of the Firefighting department looked at Leader Jia in disbelief. They felt that using the Yinglong Armor for Firefighting was a complete overkill!

“Of course, Xiao Zhang prepared it for Firefighting.”

“The Border has the Pangu Mech and Sentinel Mecha, so they don’t need this Yinglong Armor at all.”

Leader Jia waved his hand.

The Border is incredibly safe now; the Space Combat Platform in Space monitors every inch of the Border line.

Not to mention people, even a single mosquito flying from abroad into the country would be detected.

The Pangu Mech deployed on the Border line patrols every day, and the Sentinel Mecha continuously monitors every area twenty-four hours a day.

“Then how is this Yinglong Armor powered?”

“How often does it need fuel, and how long can it be used on one full tank?”

The leader of the Firefighting department asked, these were the things they cared about most.

This would relate to the safety of the combat officers and soldiers.

“Everyone, there’s no need to worry about the energy. Xiao Zhang designed the Yinglong Armor to be powered by Nuclear Fusion.”

Leader Jia said with a smile.

“What?!”

Everyone present nearly had their eyes pop out.

Academician Zhang Yuanhang actually used nuclear energy directly!!!

“Xiao Jia, then the cost of this Yinglong Armor must be very expensive, right?”

The Firefighting leader asked. In their opinion, since it used nuclear energy, the cost must be ridiculously high.

“The cost is relatively cheap. Nowadays, the price of Nuclear Fusion has been greatly reduced by us.”

“A set of Yinglong Armor costs no more than five million!”

“It can be said that the cost-effectiveness of the Yinglong Armor has exploded!”

Leader Jia said.

When the Firefighting personnel heard that the cost was at most five million, they all felt relieved.

If that was the case, then they could indeed deploy the Yinglong Armor to every Firefighting station nationwide.

After all, the Firefighting vehicles at Firefighting stations are expensive, with some starting at five million.

“Everyone, leaders, you don’t need to worry too much. The Top Leader just called.”

“He said to complete the production line for the Yinglong Armor as soon as possible. The country will likely provide extra funds to purchase Yinglong Armor for deployment to Firefighting.”

Leader Jia said.

“Good, good!”

The Firefighting leaders were still thinking of going to The Top Leader for some money when they returned to the Capital.

While Leader Jia was receiving these Firefighting leaders.

Zhang Yuanhang had already gone to the base’s factory. Zhang Yuanhang was going to start trying to build a small Plasma Shield.

This was to facilitate later testing of the Plasma Shield.

This time, unlike before, Zhang Yuanhang was the only one working on it, and Everyone else stood by watching.

It wasn’t that they didn’t want to help, but that they didn’t understand.

That’s right, they didn’t understand. Academician Wu, Academician Sun, and Academician Zhao simply could not comprehend the theories involved.

The others, even more so; those theories were a tangled mess in their eyes.

Everyone worried that their help would not only fail to assist Zhang Yuanhang but would also hinder him, so they could only stand by, helping Zhang Yuanhang with raw materials.

And wiping Zhang Yuanhang’s sweat.

After a night of effort, Zhang Yuanhang finally built a small Plasma Shield.

“Finished!”

Zhang Yuanhang looked at the Plasma Shield device before him, his eyes filled with excitement.

“Xiao Zhang, is it finished?”

Academician Wu and the others, hearing the commotion, rushed over.

“Yes, yes.”

“Later, the Sentinel Mecha will transport it to the testing ground, and we can begin testing.”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

“Good, good. With the Plasma Shield, the survivability of our Space warships will be greatly enhanced in the future.”

Academician Wu said with a smile.

Originally, Academician Wu had thought that for a considerable period in the future, humans would only be able to improve the protection of Space warships by focusing on materials science.

Creating lighter and harder materials.

But he didn’t expect Zhang Yuanhang to come up with a major weapon directly: the Plasma Shield.

“Oh, right, have the testing ground prepare all sorts of weapons, and also bring some tanks.”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

“Yes, yes!”

The staff nodded and immediately went to arrange it.

Testing ground.

“Hurry up, Academician Zhang Yuanhang is coming to test his new invention soon.”

“Move all the things Academician Zhang Yuanhang needs.”

“Have the tanks arrived?”

...At this time, the testing ground was a hive of activity.

Leader Jia, having finished with the Firefighting leaders, rested for a night and also came to the testing ground.

He personally supervised.

At the same time, he reported the situation here to the Capital.

The leaders in the Capital were stunned to learn that Zhang Yuanhang had completed another invention.

Although Everyone knew that Zhang Yuanhang’s speed in creating new inventions was as fast as a hen laying eggs.

But how long had the Yinglong Armor been out?

To have something new so soon, this was simply too incredible.

So, all the leaders put down what they were doing and collectively went to the conference room, preparing to watch Zhang Yuanhang’s new invention.

Shancheng Military Base.

At this moment, the Plasma Shield device had already been transported to the testing ground by the Sentinel Mecha.

Zhang Yuanhang was completing the final inspection.

After confirming everything was in order, Zhang Yuanhang jogged over to the weapon rack.

At this time, several soldiers were waiting there, ready for action.

“We can begin the test now. Everyone, you have only one mission.”

“That is to destroy my invention with the weapons here.”

Zhang Yuanhang said, pointing at the Plasma Shield, which had already been activated.

“Huh?”

Leader Jia and the soldiers present all looked at Zhang Yuanhang with bewildered expressions.

Destroy Zhang Yuanhang’s new invention???

“Go ahead!”

Zhang Yuanhang motioned for the soldiers to begin.

A soldier, seeing this, stepped forward, took out a pistol, and fired several shots at the Plasma Shield.

In their opinion, a pistol should be enough to destroy that strange device not far away.

“Bang!!!”

However, after the gunshots, Everyone’s eyes nearly popped out.

The bullets were blocked by a mysterious force about half a meter from the device.

Then they fell powerlessly.

“Xiao Zhang, what is this?”

Leader Jia came to Zhang Yuanhang’s side, his face full of questions.

“Plasma Shield!”

Zhang Yuanhang said.

Leader Jia didn’t understand what a Plasma Shield was, still looking confused.

The other soldiers, seeing this, all picked up rifles nearby and fired madly at the Plasma Shield.

“Bang bang!!!”

Just like before, the rifle bullets were still blocked outside.

Zhang Yuanhang looked down at the tablet in his hand, which displayed the status of the Plasma Shield.

Just now, the soldiers’ frantic firing caused the Plasma Shield’s durability to drop a little, but it was then replenished.

It recovered to one hundred percent.

This was the incredible aspect of the Plasma Shield: if you couldn’t break it in one hit, then you might as well be grinding tofu.

The Plasma Shield device could continuously produce plasma. As long as the incoming attack did not exceed the device’s production rate, the device could remain stable.
