Build a Fifty-meter Giant Mecha at the Beginning!

185: New technology, plasma shield“No problem, come see the Mechanical Police I designed for Shancheng.”

Academician Zhang Yuanhang gestured for the Shancheng Leader to follow him.

“Alright.”

The Shancheng Leader hadn’t expected Academician Zhang Yuanhang to have actually completed the Mechanical Police.

“This Mechanical Police and the Bionic-Wing Helicopter are a set. They both use Nuclear Fusion reactions, and a single refueling can last for a hundred years.”

“You could say they’ll be used until they break, and the battery will still have power.”

“Both the Bionic-Wing Helicopter and the Mechanical Police will use the AI I developed. In the future, the Bionic-Wing Helicopter won’t require a pilot.”

“The Mechanical Police will also have the ability to enforce laws independently.”

Academician Zhang Yuanhang introduced the Mechanical Police and the Bionic-Wing Helicopter to the Shancheng Leader as they walked.

Upon hearing Academician Zhang Yuanhang’s introduction, the Shancheng Leader’s eyes nearly popped out.

The Shancheng Leader’s mind was filled with the words “So amazing!”

“Look, this is the Mechanical Police I developed for Shancheng!”

Academician Zhang Yuanhang pulled off the tarp covering the Mechanical Police.

Originally, Academician Zhang Yuanhang had only planned to shrink the Sentinel Mecha and give it to the Shancheng police.

But then, Academician Zhang Yuanhang thought about how the Shancheng Leader and his team had provided ten billion, and if he didn’t put some effort into it, his conscience would bother him about taking the money.

So, he modified the Sentinel Mecha.

He transformed one arm into a taser gun to easily subdue criminals, and added a protective shield made of special material to the other arm.

This way, the Mechanical Police could also serve as riot police.

“This, this, this… Academician Zhang Yuanhang, is this prepared for our Shancheng?”

The Shancheng Leader looked at the majestic and powerful Mechanical Police before him, feeling immensely moved.

The Shancheng Leader felt that these items could not be bought for ten billion; Academician Zhang Yuanhang must have thought of designing them for his hometown, Shancheng, and thus put in extra effort.

“Academician Zhang Yuanhang, I truly don’t know how to express my gratitude.”

“These items are all incredibly valuable!”

The Shancheng Leader tightly clasped Academician Zhang Yuanhang’s hands.

Academician Wu, standing nearby, couldn’t help but laugh.

He finally understood.

At this moment, Academician Zhang Yuanhang and the Shancheng Leader didn’t really understand each other.

One didn’t know how incredibly advanced the other’s scientific research capabilities were, that these things were effortlessly created.

The other also didn’t know how low the one’s requirements were, always thinking he had taken too much money.

Watching them, Academician Wu was laughing so hard he almost had a heart attack.

Finally, the Shancheng Leader, wiping away tears, left with the Mechanical Police, the Bionic-Wing Helicopter, and their production materials.

“Let’s go, let’s hold a press conference. Academician Zhang Yuanhang has done so much for his hometown.”

“We cannot hold Academician Zhang Yuanhang back.”

The Shancheng Leader wiped the tears from his face, intending to personally attend and host the press conference for the Mechanical Police.

“Yes.”

The secretary immediately contacted people to prepare for the press conference.

The Shancheng Government immediately sprang into action. Major news media, learning that the Shancheng Government was holding a press conference, immediately dispatched reporters.

When the reporters arrived at the press conference location, they were a bit confused as to why the press conference was being held on a helipad.

Online, the Shancheng Government also immediately opened a live stream.

“What’s going on? Why is there a sudden press conference?”

“Don’t scare me, could something big have happened?”

“Could there be a natural disaster somewhere? No way, I hope there are no casualties!”

Chinese Netizens entering the live stream expressed concern about the Shancheng Government’s sudden decision to hold a press conference.

When the red-eyed Shancheng Leader appeared before the reporters and cameras, the hearts of all the reporters present and all the Chinese Netizens in the live stream tightened.

For the Shancheng Leader to be crying with red eyes, it must be a major event.

“Everyone, at today’s press conference, I want to especially thank one person.”

“Academician Zhang Yuanhang!”

The Shancheng Leader hadn’t yet noticed the strange atmosphere in the room.

Everyone was stunned by the Shancheng Leader’s words.

What the heck???

“Not long ago, I approached Academician Zhang Yuanhang, hoping he could design a Mechanical Police for our Shancheng.”

“Just recently, Academician Zhang Yuanhang, working tirelessly day and night, completed it.”

“He created the Mechanical Police for our Shancheng, as well as the Bionic-Wing Helicopter prepared for the police force.”

The Shancheng Leader gestured for Everyone to look to the other side, where staff members were now uncovering the Mechanical Police and the Bionic-Wing Helicopter.

“Wow!”

A series of exclamations erupted from the reporters present.

“Oh my goodness.”

“This Mechanical Police is too cool, and is that a helicopter next to it?”

“Good heavens, that Bionic-Wing Helicopter next to it is often seen in sci-fi movies.”

Chinese Netizens in the live stream were overjoyed by the sight before them, especially the people of Shancheng, who were practically jumping for joy.

These innovations would all be put into use in Shancheng first.

“In the future, we will build a production line in Shancheng, striving to put the Mechanical Police and Bionic-Wing Helicopter into use within three months.”

The Shancheng Leader said proudly.

“Brothers, in three months, I’m going to Shancheng for a trip. I want to take a photo with the Mechanical Police.”

“Goodness, Shancheng is going to have another scenic attraction!”

“Ah ah ah, I love it! Can I carry the Mechanical Police home?”

“Wuwuwu, I don’t want the Mechanical Police, can I have that Bionic-Wing Helicopter?”

In the Capital.

The Top Leader looked at the recent press conference with a smile on his face.

The Mechanical Police are very suitable for work on the Moon.

“Later, half of the Mechanical Police production line’s output can be sent to the Moon.”

The Top Leader said.

The Shancheng Leader could never have dreamed that half of the Mechanical Police, which they hadn’t even started producing yet, had already been reserved by The Top Leader.

Shancheng Military Base.

Academician Zhang Yuanhang entered the room alone.

After the weather modification device mission was completed, he hadn’t yet claimed a new mission.

“System, I want to receive a mission!”

Academician Zhang Yuanhang said.

【Ding! Please host build a Plasma Shield (relevant technology transfer begins)】

Academician Zhang Yuanhang was stunned for a moment by the electronic sound.

“Holy moly, this is incredible!”

Academician Zhang Yuanhang exclaimed.

The Plasma Shield has a wide range of uses; it can not only provide protection for people but also be applied to spaceships flying at high speeds in Space.

Take the Azure Dragon Space Battleship as an example: every flight requires careful route calculation in advance to avoid meteors in Space.

The Azure Dragon Space Battleship can fly at one-tenth the speed of light, and if it were to collide with a meteor, it would be destroyed, and all aboard would perish.

But if it had a Plasma Shield, it would be different; if it encountered any meteors, it could simply crash through them.

Moreover, when facing enemy weapons, as long as they don’t exceed the shield’s protective capacity, the Azure Dragon Space Battleship would remain unharmed.

This would greatly enhance the Azure Dragon Space Battleship’s combat and survival capabilities.
