Beast Taming: I'm Really Not a Cultivation Master

Chapter 127: Chapter 110: Harming Others, Harming Oneself

Seeing a rare chance to escape with their lives, the two didn’t hesitate for a moment.

Li Qian used his Soul Contract to contact Qizai, telling it to flee at top speed. They had to take advantage of the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros being occupied with the hidden member of the Mechanical Desecration Association and get as far away as possible.

As for whether they might encounter other Extraordinary Creatures or fall into a new crisis, they couldn’t afford to worry about that now.

Qizai was naturally talented. As a Powerful Pet Beast with the Potential to reach Tier Five Dominator, its intelligence far surpassed that of ordinary Pet Beasts.

At this very moment, it knew what to do even without an order from Li Qian.

It took off in a frenzy, unsparingly using its Longteng Skill. In just the span of a few breaths, it had flown several kilometers away.

The moment they flew off, a battle erupted on a small hill not far from where they had been.

No, to be precise, it wasn’t a battle, but a one-sided slaughter. The hidden member of the Mechanical Desecration Association had virtually no power to resist.

Like other members of the Mechanical Desecration Association, he had mastered the ability to merge as one with a robot.

After merging, their strength would surge massively for a short period of time.

Facing the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s swift and deadly pounce, the hidden member of the Mechanical Desecration Association was scared out of his wits.

Not daring to hesitate in the slightest, he swiftly unleashed this ultimate technique, then threw up a Light Shield to defend.

BANG!

BOOM!

The Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s crocodilian tail, like a great hammer falling from the sky, smashed straight down with incredible speed and devastating force.

A single strike was all it took to shatter the Light Shield Skill that the merged robot had desperately cast.

Without losing any momentum, the attack landed squarely on the merged robot’s chest.

As expected, the merged robot was sent flying backward by the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s tail hammer.

Finally, with a BOOM, it crashed into a small forest in the distance, plowing a long trench in the ground.

BZZT... CRACKLE...

The merged robot lay in the trench, surrounded by scattered components. Its chassis and internal wiring were severely damaged, emitting showers of electric Sparks.

Evidently, that single blow had dealt the merged robot almost catastrophic damage.

Merged with the robot and embedded in its cockpit, the Mechanical Desecration Association member’s face instantly turned deathly pale as cold sweat soaked his clothes.

Without a moment’s hesitation, he slammed a red button beside the cockpit.

As the red button was pressed, even thicker arcs of electricity suddenly erupted from the robot’s body in the trench.

Then, the next moment...

BOOM!

The robot’s body violently exploded.

The explosion was incredibly powerful, forcing the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros back several steps. A large patch of Scale Armor on its chest was even blasted black.

This was the robot’s final, self-destruct attack, so such power was to be expected.

But the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros was no ordinary Extraordinary Creature with some degree of intelligence; its capacity for reason was practically Zero.

Taking damage again, it let out an even more furious and berserk roar.

”ROOOOAR...”

It closed the distance in a flash, arriving before the wreckage of the merged robot in an instant.

Facing the mangled wreckage, the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros showed no signs of stopping as its sharp claws stabbed down in a frenzy.

THUD THUD THUD...

The Demon Dragon Rhinoceros relentlessly used its Claw Strike, tearing the already scattered wreckage of the merged robot into even smaller fragments.

After venting its rage, the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s anger subsided somewhat. It tilted its head, looking in the direction where Li Qian and Chu Xiran had fled.

Just then, from within the ruins it had utterly wrecked, a Mechanical Octopus roughly the size of an adult stealthily emerged, preparing to flee the scene.

The Mechanical Octopus had an internal cavity, and at that very moment, the hidden member of the Mechanical Desecration Association was curled up inside it.

This was his final, life-saving trick.

Under most circumstances, it would have saved his life.

Unfortunately for him, this time was different. The Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s perception was extremely keen; at such a close distance, not the slightest sound could escape its ears.

The Mechanical Octopus had only just stirred, showing the barest hint of an escape attempt, when the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros sensed it.

The octopus was also quick-witted. Seeing the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros start to turn its head, it immediately froze its escape attempt and went perfectly still, once again resembling a pile of junk.

The Demon Dragon Rhinoceros’s eyes darted slightly. It then snapped its mouth open, and scorching heat instantly billowed out.

Amidst this terrifying heat, an orange-red Fireball five to six meters in diameter shot forth.

BOOM!

The massive orange-red Fireball struck the bulk of the merged robot’s wreckage, and the Mechanical Octopus was unfortunately engulfed by it.

”Argh! I refuse to die like this!” A faint, almost imperceptible scream echoed out, and then all fell into nothingness.

When the dust settled, there was no wreckage to be seen—only a pool of scorching magma remained.

The pitiful member of the Mechanical Desecration Association, a mighty Dominator Level Mechanic, had just kicked the bucket in such an unceremonious and unmemorable fashion.

If Li Qian had been there to see this, he surely would have sighed. ’You reap what you sow. Harming others ultimately harms yourself!’

If that guy hadn’t tried to frame Li Qian and Chu Xiran earlier and had just snuck away, he might have actually had a chance to escape.

After finishing, the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros didn’t linger. It burst into motion, running at a speed the naked eye could barely track.

Li Qian and Chu Xiran fled on Qizai’s back at extreme speed, but less than two minutes later, they realized something was wrong.

The berserk Heaven and Earth Energy was getting closer!

Li Qian instinctively glanced back and couldn’t help but cry out in terror, ”Holy shit, how is that thing catching up?!”

He simply couldn’t understand.

’How could this thing be so fast!’

Qizai was flying through the air, while the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros was running on the ground.

Even so, its speed was immeasurably faster than Qizai’s.

Chu Xiran asked in confusion, ”What about the hidden member of the Mechanical Desecration Association?”

”He’s almost certainly croaked!” Li Qian pursed his lips, unable to resist complaining. ”He was a Dominator Level Beast Master, for crying out loud, and he died that fast!”

”Then, does that mean we’re...” Glancing back and seeing the Demon Dragon Rhinoceros steadily closing the distance, Chu Xiran’s voice was laced with panic.

Li Qian gave a wry smile. ”Unless a miracle happens, it looks like the two of us, teacher and student, are going to bite the dust together today!”

”You sound surprisingly relaxed about it...” Chu Xiran took a deep breath, and the panic on her face actually subsided a little.

The corner of Li Qian’s mouth twitched. ”I want to cry, believe me. But for some reason, the tears just won’t come!”
