A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 891: Chapter 883: Escalating Situation

Nine hourglasses later.

Surrounded by numerous unfathomable Demon-Hunting Sorcerers, the Mother of Cockroaches, bound by layer upon layer of elemental forces, gazed in terror at the mysterious and eerie figure before her. The biological aura within was so powerful that it made the Mother of Cockroaches feel like she was looking up at a towering giant, irresistible.

Seven-colored runes flowed across the surface of the body, left hand holding the ”Book of Truth,” right hand wielding the extreme abyss magic staff. Underneath the Face of Truth, the eyes looked calmly at this Third-Level Creature, yet gave the Mother of Cockroaches the feeling of a demon ready to devour anyone, inducing immense fear.

Surrounding her, more than a dozen independent intelligent Screaming Cockroaches crawled humbly, worshiping their master, obedient as puppies.

”Powerful entity from the Foreign Domain, there’s no need to waste time on me. There is nothing in my mother nest that you want. The Screaming Cockroach tribe will soon be awakened by the delicious scent on you, and then... hahahaha!”

Unlike the other Screaming Cockroaches, who were so hungry they were shriveled, the Mother of Cockroaches had a bloated body, nine meters long, with a plump abdomen nearly standing six meters. Blue and purple patterns on its body formed patches, colorful and radiant.

In her lifetime, this Mother of Cockroaches had laid countless cockroach eggs.

Saying this, she looked at the Screaming Cockroaches crawling around Green like puppies, feeling a surge of anger, her antennae sparking with lightning, attempting in vain to control these lowly offspring.

”How is this possible, what did you do to them!?”

The inability to control her offspring’s bloodlines made the Mother of Cockroaches even more panicked, only feeling that this mysterious, insignificant, ugly creature from an unknown world was unfathomable.

”Ga ga ga ga, young master, it does have a certain amount of intelligence!”

Above Green’s head, Xiao Ba, perched on a large and fierce head with a long neck and bared fangs, laughed excitedly.

”They are only subjugated by the great Wizard’s Will, offering their bodies and souls, and soon, you will be just like them, cackle cackle cackle.”

Green’s soul voice was hoarse and evil in the ears of the Mother of Cockroaches.

All around, the Demon-Hunting Sorcerers of various appearances looked down coldly on this lowly prisoner, sneering repeatedly.

”Wizard? What... what are you doing? Stop! Ah...”

In her painful struggles, worthy of an ancient creature, her resistance far surpassed that of ordinary beings, fully repelling the invasion of Green’s Saint Trace Soul.

The Stigma of Fire on the tip of the magic staff encountered extreme difficulty occupying.

”Cackle cackle cackle, abandon the ignorant resistance, let your soul feel the greatness of the Wizard’s Will, and you shall end your muddled existence, truly living.”

Speaking to the end, Green revealed an utterly ferocious expression, thrusting the entire tip of the extreme abyss magic staff into the belly of the Mother of Cockroaches, green liquid splattering everywhere as he brutally implemented soul control.

After spasms and convulsions, when the Mother of Cockroaches reopened her eyes, the essence of her soul had already inclined toward Green’s possession.

”Master!”

Humbly submissive, the sincerity in her eyes surpassed that of any believer, dedicating everything to Green’s will, which became her life’s sole purpose.

”Hmm.”

Though possessing only fourteen slaves, through this Mother of Cockroaches, Green sensed countless others.

After brief communication, Green confirmed that there were six mother nests nearby, one of which was a triple mother nest controlled by three sisters, making it the strongest nearby.

”Report to the Master, the Screaming Cockroach Matriarch is the origin of the Screaming Cockroach race. Ever since its birth in this world fifteen thousand years ago, it has quickly grown until three hundred years ago when this world had no food left—the regenerate edible minerals barely sustaining each nest day by day.”

This Mother of Cockroaches answered everything.

”Then, where is the Screaming Cockroach Matriarch’s Nest?”

While Green incessantly asked for various information, Xiao Ba rode the Enigmatic Thousand-Headed Bird, following the six Demon-Hunting Sorcerer Legions that departed in batches, excitedly heading out to conquer each mother nest.

Once the Mother of Cockroaches provided a general location, Green calculated briefly and nodded; indeed, it was near the Quiet Spring Descent Space Fortress!

However, Quiet Spring was different from Green. As an Elemental Wizard, soul enslavement was an innate talent for Green.

Quiet Spring, the Supreme Sorcerer of the World, though possessing some elemental surge methods, fundamentally was a Wild Body-Refining Witch, with slaves used only for arena consumption or trade, lacking in soul enslavement methods, uncertain about obtaining accurate intelligence over there.

Thinking thus, Green encrypted a series of information runes and transmitted them to Quiet Spring, who soon transmitted back a segment of information.

”Screaming Cockroach World awakening, Matriarch’s power is recovering?”

Quiet Spring’s information indicated that the Matriarch’s power was far greater than what Shadow Spy Sorcerer investigations suggested, apparently weakened over time due to exhausted world resources, reducing it to seem like a newly promoted World Master.

And as Green and Quiet Spring brought vast amounts of fresh bloodish scents, they unwittingly awakened starving Screaming Cockroaches in stasis, boosting world will, possibly enhancing the Cockroach Matriarch’s strength?

Should he immediately rush to join Quiet Spring and eliminate the Matriarch first together?

Yet doing so might awaken an unimaginable number of Screaming Cockroaches with the overwhelming blood scent, becoming a source for the awakening of world will, consequently strengthening the World Guardian.

Suddenly, Green’s crystal ball transmitted a message from the Wizarding World Spatial Fortress Combat Command.

”Stigmata Sorcerer of the Oblivion Tower!”

Andre’s aged face showed a hint of grave concern, alerting Green to something amiss.

”What happened?”

A series of images from the crystal ball recordings showed massive Screaming Cockroaches fighting each other, with the strong devouring the weak’s bodies, the scent of flesh continuously waking a larger dormant roach population, spreading outwards.

”Master, I have formed a team of Wizards with combustion attributes to clear the awakening Screaming Cockroach flesh bodies, but it’s already impossible to curb the situation’s spread. It seems the origin will of the world is aware of its crisis, initiating the final mechanism.”

”Delay as much as possible, any better way to handle it?”

Green’s eyes moved; he frowned.

”I have already contacted the Stigmata Sorcerer Space Fortress Combat Command of the Sword of Destruction, encountering the same situation there. According to past experiences, if allowed to spread unchecked like this, some rules-based cataclysm might occur. To be safe, Master, before the situation spirals out of control, fully control the Cockroach Matriarch World Master!”

Andre held his breath and solemnly said, ”We shall activate the Space Fortress Destruction Cannon, draw an isolation zone, dispatch Wizards with combustion attributes, and fully suppress the situation’s expansion!” (To be continued.
