A Sorcerer’s Journey

Chapter 857: Chapter 850: Guramo

Flap, flap, flap...

A massive shadow of over seventy meters soared across the sky, as the Myriad-Headed Bird with its ninety-nine heads roared and howled, reaching the pinnacle of its growth as a Third-Level Creature, heading towards the Second Ring Holy Tower.

Undoubtedly, Green had already become the most powerful Great Sorcerer beneath the Stigmata in the Wizard World. Even in the long river of Wizard World’s history, few such extraordinary figures like Green have emerged!

The more extreme, the lonelier.

Among the strongest of the same level, only a few of the greatest Black Sorcerer Kings deep within the Dark Domain, Severness who rules with a single hand at the Second Ring Holy Tower, and a few great sorcerers deep within the Holy Towers could still maintain Green’s interest.

And challenging the undefeated status of Severness within the Wizard World was probably Green’s only longing before becoming a Stigmata.

As long as he defeated this great sorcerer, it would prove that Green, at this moment, was at least stronger than Master Sister Youquan!

In other words, the desire for Green was not to defeat Severness but to surpass the target that had always overshadowed him since his time as a wizard apprentice, that revered and longed-for figure, whom Mentor Peranos once viewed as Green’s shadow.

No!

Green wanted to prove that he was himself, not someone’s shadow, nor did he replicate anyone’s path as a wizard. For many years, Green had been striving to prove this.

”Damn this weather, it’s so damn cold. The Seventh Ring Holy Tower can’t compare to this side of the Second Ring Holy Tower.”

Xiao Ba stood on Green’s shoulder, shrinking its neck, teeth chattering, yawning sleepily after complaining, looking utterly entranced.

”Hmm?”

Flying midair, Green suddenly sensed something.

”Warning barrier, there’s actually an academy war occurring ahead?”

Slightly stunned, as the Myriad-Headed Bird flew into the barrier, it was noticed by a World Guardian.

Even though Green tried his best to suppress his power fluctuations, his inadvertently released aura still struck fear into the nearby weaker creatures. Without achieving Stigmata, Green could no longer perfectly control his immense power.

He long possessed the ability to overturn academy wars, yet having reached such a level and nearing the Stigmata ascension, it was indeed no longer appropriate to partake in matters that disrupt the balance of the Wizard World, or it might bring unforeseen troubles for his future Sorcerer’s Tower, outweighing the gains.

However, for such a mere academy war, Green would not deliberately avoid it, delaying his journey.

Thus, he continued flying towards the Second Ring Holy Tower.

Two days later.

Two Arcane Wizards locked in a life-and-death battle suddenly felt their bodies stiffen, hair standing on end, and with drastic changes in expression, they used Elemental Teleport to evade each other, gazing into the distance.

”This, this is...”

Flap, flap, flap...

The massive shadow of a multi-headed strange bird over seventy meters flew over the two’s heads, emitting a terrifying aura that stirred the surrounding space. A shadowy figure of a Mysterious Wizard with Seven-Colored Runes flickering stood faintly on the beast’s back, moving forward without glancing at them.

Sweating profusely, the two Second-Level Arcane Wizards simultaneously felt an intense fear in their hearts.

Such an unbelievably powerful Great Sorcerer, regardless of which academy side he belonged to, the consequences would be...

No, this information must be relayed to the academy dean!

Without batting an eyelid, the two, initially in a duel to the death, were dispersed by the presence of Green and the Myriad-Headed Bird, altering their originally deadly fates.

...

Elsewhere.

As the chief of the enormous wizard legion that would completely extinguish the final resistance of the Mystery Hand Sorcerer Academy, Dean Old Winter stood valiantly on the Ironblood Warhawk’s back, a beam of white light shining above his head, exuding an incredible life aura.

Behind Great Sorcerer Old Winter, four Great Sorcerers with various expressions, over three hundred Low-grade Wizards, and several Triangular Flight Warships flew in a fearsome formation.

Suddenly, on top of the Ironblood Warhawk, Old Winter’s tightly closed eyes snapped open, sharply detecting an abnormal fluctuation beyond the distant sky’s view. The Ironblood Warhawk, with its instinct for sensing danger from terrifying beasts, let out a long cry, hair on its neck standing on end, forcibly halting!

With a wave, Old Winter signaled the wizard legion behind him to stop.

”What happened, why did we suddenly stop?”

”Not sure, perhaps something unexpected occurred. Just follow Dean Old Winter’s command. The Mystery Hand Sorcerer Academy can’t hold on anymore, no one can save it!”

Gradually, the frightening silhouette of an Abyssal Demon Dragon appeared in the distance, standing upon it was a Mysterious Abyssal Underground Wizard, surrounded by Demonic Qi.

A terrifying scar ran across the entire face, with only one deep, pitch-black eye remaining, a ghastly pallor accompanying a savage, ferocious grin as he flew directly towards the wizard legion.

”I’ve taken the Mystery Hand Sorcerer Academy’s reward, so I’m responsible for protecting it. Your Mist Storm Academy wizards over there have already been dealt with. Heh heh heh, so you all should roll back to wherever you came from.”

Saying this, the Abyssal Underground Wizard hoisted the White Bone Battle Hammer onto his shoulder, emanating an intense, bloody life-and-death aura, seemingly a terrifying Sorcery Instrument that fed off consuming blood Qi.

Others only sensed this Great Sorcerer’s dreadfulness, but on the Ironblood Warhawk, Old Winter seemed to recall something, his pupils suddenly narrowing!

”Five-Star Abyssal King Guramo?”

Recently, over the past hundred years, the upheaval-stirring Great Sorcerer in the Wizard World was indeed this Five-Star Abyssal King!

Two hundred years ago, a Great Sorcerer of the Quadruple Ring Sacred Tower was defeated by him, making him even more arrogant, having become one of the most likely candidates to ascend as a Stigmata after Agrimond, garnering attention from Abyssal Underground’s many Stigma and True Spirit Wizards.

Yet, compared to the strong predecessors of Abyssal Kings, this Guramo was more brutal, an unparalleled strongman who emerged from the sea of corpses and blood, an unknown Body Refining Sorcerer through dozens of Foreign Domain wars!

With each perilous trial, he improved, and as he killed time and again, the power of the Blood Evil Bone Hammer in his hand grew stronger, his unstoppable ferocity and uncompromising nature crafting the unparalleled wave of Guramo’s conquests.

”Seeing this king and not turning tail to run, truly an utter disgrace! It seems the slaughter I wrought upon Wizard Continent a hundred years ago wasn’t enough yet; as such, heh heh heh heh...”

”No...”

”He... he is the Five-Star Abyssal King!”

Boom, boom, boom...

Heartless slaughter, blood and brutality, embedding the killing into one’s instinct, a banquet of carnage. Just within a fraction of an Hourglass, Guramo gripped Old Winter’s neck with a pitch-black hand, grinning savagely: ”Why not continue Elemental Teleport to escape now?”

Old Winter struggled with all his might, yet he couldn’t escape this monstrously powerful being’s clutches, the black nails digging deep into his flesh, blood flowing down the monster’s arm.

”Useless thing, the era of Elemental Wizards in the Wizard World will eventually be overtaken by my generation of Body Refining Sorcerers.”

”Deep within the Holy Tower, Severness who rules with a single hand...”

Poof!

Guramo smashed Old Winter with the White Bone Battle Hammer, the blood energy absorbed by the warhammer’s internal Mysterious Power as he coldly laughed: ”Do you think the reason I came to the Wizard Continent was merely for the trivial academy wars here? It’s long rumored that the strongest Elemental Wizards are hidden deepest within the Holy Tower, those sneaky hypocrites, this time I shall be the one to shatter the so-called myth of Elemental Wizards!”

With a cold, ominous smile, his sinister eyes caught a glance at several hidden World Guardians in the distance, as he, surrounded by ferocious aura, flew towards the Mist Windstorm Sorcerer Academy.
